Flame and Crimson: OC x Ruby (DBXV x RWBY)

Hi Everyone, Rosesaiyan2 here again! I hope you all enjoyed last chapter as it took me awhile to write it (a whopping 3 weeks). This chapter will end off Volume 2, so it may be shorter in length compared to the normal chapter.

If you're wondering how Odyn x Ruby will play out given the tension between Dark Elves and Humans in the stoy... You'll just have to read more to find out lol. Also, there may be a cameo to another series when concerns the Elves power in combat going forward. But it is primarily a rwby crossover with Dragon Ball Super and Black Clover. There will be development with Yang and Roy going forward,  so not to worry for those who like their pairing. Other pairings who will see development are as follows: Baron x Flare, Syrbyrh x Tarro, Khanna x Mercury, Valvadern x Blake, Pyrrha x Jaune/Spoiler.

I didn't mention Hailfire because I'm still deciding who she ends up with. These are the options I'm thinking of for her pairing right now: Neptune Vasilias,  Sun Wukong, Oscar Pine (Volume 5).

Naruto Opening 8- Re:Call

Visuals: Stills of each member of Team Rwby and OHRF before it transitions to both teams fighting the White Fang members and Roman on top of a train in a tunnel. After the song picks up, it then transitions to both teams fighting Grimm along with other Huntsman and Huntresses in the middle of Vale amongst the rubble from the train. The song ends as both teams gather and rush the oncoming horde of monsters.

Chapter 16: Breach; Ruby's Confession?

Meanwhile inside the room of JNPR, Jaune is seen to be sleeping. It seems as though he's having a nice dream.

"Mm... Waffles...," Jaune says in his sleep.

Off to the side Pyrrha is seen to be chuckling at her sleeping leader's face. He looked like a little kid in the way he was sleeping, it was quite adorable in her opinion. As Pyrrha watched him, the voice inside of her spoke up.

"Someone is coming."

There was knock at the door, which gained the attention of Jaune, waking him from his sleep.

"Who's there?," He asked still a little groggy from sleep.

"It's Khanna.," the voice from the door said.

Jaune was going to answer the door, but Pyrrha smiled and told she would get it.

The redhead went to the door and opened it, surprised to see the entirety of Team KDBNB fully equipped and armed.

"Grab your gear and come with us. We need to hurry too.," Khanna said.

"What's going on?," Jaune asked now fully awake.

Khanna turned back to them to explain the situation.

"Team Rwby and my cousin's team need some backup.," Khanna said.

"They need backup?," Pyrrha asked.

"Something apparently went wrong, Pyrrha. I think they may be in trouble."

Khanna spoke again.

"Yeah, that lunatic Torchwick led Grimm straight into the middle of downtown Vale!," Khanna said.

"They're fighting them off right now, most likely.," Baron said.

As soon as he said this, the emergency alarm began to blare.

"That can't be good.," Ren said.

"No time to waste! Are you comin' or not?," Note asked.

"We need to hurry, they need backup and quickly!," Beat said.

JNPR quickly gathered their gear and rushed off to head towards Vale.

Time skip: Later on at dawn.....

KDBNB and JNPR walk towards a bullhead as they know they need to hurry.

"I'm sure they're fine.,"Pyrrha said.

"You think?," Jaune asked.

"Less talking, more running.," Khanna said.

"Shouldn't we be focused on our own mission though?," Ren asked.

They then saw smoke coming from the city as sirens blared.

"Okay, nevermind.," Ren said.

"Glad you understand Ren, this is more important right now!," Beat said.

"Hurry!," Khanna said as the group of teens doubled their speed to reach the bullhead.

As the group rushes off towards the bullhead, a certain trio watches nearby. That trio is of course Mercury, Emerald,  and Cinder.

"You don't think...," Emerald trailed off.

"It sure looks like that's the case.," Mercury said.

"But, that's still days away!,"Emerald said confused.

"What should we do then, Cinder?," Mercury asked.

Cinder adopted a thoughtful expression before relaying orders.

"Mercury and Emerald,  you two follow that group over there. It wouldn't exactly be ideal for us if Vale were to be overrun just yet.," She said.

The two nodded and went off to complete the task they were given.

Time skip: Downtown Vale....

Teams RWBY and OHRF are surrounded in the middle of the pavilion by Beowolves, Ursai, and a massive King Taijitu. The King Taijitu unleashes a mighty roar, signaling the Grimm to attack. Ruby plants her weapon into the ground before kicking away the Grimm, Odyn works in sync with her as he is seen slashing and kicking any Grimm stupid enough to approach Ruby from the backside. Yang is seen to be propelling herself upwards , performing aerial bombardments with her gauntlets  on the Grimm before three Giant Nevermores send her crashing to the ground. Just as Yang is supposedly vulnerable,  Roy sticks his blade into the ground, sending a torrent of lightning to the Grimm and electrocuting them. Blake slashes a Beowolf with Gambol Shroud before firing on the other approaching Grimm.

Weiss slashes three Beowolves, before summoning a glyph to conjure up an ice blade. Yang, back on the ground, sends several cars flying towards the Grimm. As Ruby finishes slashing at a Grimm, she notices the King Taijitu ready for the attack, until she also sees Nora Valkyrie flying on Magnhild towards the King Taijitu, slamming it on the head and killing the beast. Weiss wasn't paying attention to the Grimm sneaking up on her, when out of nowhere the Ursa is kicked hard in the stomach by a boot. This boot belonged to a certain red eyed Saiyan. The Schnee turned around and saw him, giving him a smile.

"Daikon! You're here!," Weiss said oddly relieved.

The Saiyan chuckled upon seeing the Schnee heiress.

"Heh. Looks as if you've gotten yourself in quite the mess, eh Princess?," Daikon replied.

"Oh, shut up! You... can tease me all you want later, now is not the time for that!," Weiss said.

He nodded.

"Understood,  princess.," Daikon said.

He stood back to back with Weiss, covering her blind spots while she also covered his.

Jaune, Pyrrha,  and Ren soon follow along with Baron, Khanna, Note, and Beat.

"Smack!," Nora cries.

She bats a Creep away while Ren strikes two more. He moves on to slash at a Beowolf. Khanna looks to the others.

"Alright, you know what to do.," Khanna said before taking off.

"Right!," The others said before taking off in different directions to help out.

"Okay, who's first?," Jaune asks as he faces the Grimm.

Jaune turns around to notice a giant Ursa standing behind him. Pyrrha is fighting several Grimm nearby. Impaling a Beowolf, and then a Creep before seeing the Ursa advance on Jaune. Behind her Weiss, Daikon, and Blake are seen fighting more Grimm.

"Oh-oh-okay, you're first, huh? Okay, no, that's fine. Totally fine, done this before, done this before...," Jaune told himself.

With a mighty scream, Jaune slashes the Ursa several times before it falls. Pyrrha smiles, as she notices his improvement. A few feet from the fallen Ursa, Sun Wukong and Neptune Vasilias arrive, flashing their badges.

"Nobody move! Junior detectives!," Sun said flashing his badge.

"We have badges so you know it's official!," Neptune said.

A Grimm is seen approaching the pair of unaware teens, that is until Hailfire comes flying by to ram the Grimm in the face instantly killing it with her shield.

Neptune then notices the dead Grimm.

"Holy Crap! Uh.. t-thanks Hailfire!," Neptune says in thanks.

The Dark Elf turns and smiles at him.

"You're welcome. Now focus you two, or I may not be able to save you next time!," Hailfire said.

"Y-Yes Ma'am!," they both said instantly pulling out their dust weapons.

Both teens then go and back up Hailfire, not that she needed them to. She still appreciated the gesture though.

A fleet coming from the Atlesian Military, consisting of dropships deploying Atlesian Knight-200 units and the flagship of James Ironwood. As Team RWBY looks up in the sky, an Ursa takes the opportunity to attack Ruby from behind. However, Odyn sees this and kills it instantly by slashing its head off. As the robotic Knights deploy, they start gunning down the Grimm. Two of the Knights are stampeded on by a Boarbatusk, but a separate group of three Knights fire on an Ursa and another Ursa has fallen from a Knight's punch. Cinder nods her head, signaling Mercury and Emerald to attack the Grimm as she walks off.

Mercury dropkicked a Creep, before spinning and backfisting and Ursa right into the head of Khanna's spiked war hammer. The Elf turns and smirks at him.

"I was wondering when you were going to show up, Merc.," Khanna said.

"Yeah, sorry I'm late. Even have Emerald here to help out.," Mercury said.

The Elf nodded as another Grimm attacked her. She kicked its legs out, then tossed her hammer in the air before uppercutting it in the jaw, sending it skyward. Holding out her hand, she caught the Hammer before waiting and smashing the Grimm into oblivion.

"Good. You can help us out then, over here.," Khanna said.

Emerald reluctantly followed them as she was sweating at the display Khanna just put on. She knew what Cinder planned to do, but if she and Mercury had to fight someone like Khanna... she really didn't like their chances.

As more Knights subdue Grimm, out of the opening comes Zwei, followed by Dr. Oobleck in a damaged Atlesian Paladin-290. The dog jumping off to headbutt a Beowolf. An airship arrives, dropping off Team CFVY and Professor Peter Port. As Yatsuhashi Daichi is surrounded by a pack of Grimm, he unlimbers Fulcrum before smashing it on the ground, unleashing a shockwave that sends them flying. Velvet Scarlatina and Fox Alistair respectively kick and punch the Grimm with Fox impaling a Creep. Nearby a large spiked Ursa roars before charging them. Fox intercepts it with a kick then unleashes a combo of slashes and punches with Sharp Retribution. 

Knocking the Grimm skyward with an uppercut, as it descends he delivers a blow to the head with both hands that sends it flying. After landing it swells up and explodes impaling the nearby Grimm with its spikes. Coco walks forward swatting a few away with her weapon. Yatsuhashi shields Velvet before the two start advancing. There's more Grimm coming at them, but they're cut down by an advancing Knight in dark crimson armor and a Dark Elf in Silver Vanguard armor.

The Elves recognized these two, they were the escort for the High King and the High Queen of the Dark Elves.

Meanwhile back with team CVFY, Coco strode forward after Fox's display. She gave him a light pat on the butt, which surprised him a little bit before he jumped back.

"Nice hustle, Fox. Good job.," Coco said.

Coco then transforms her dust weapon (Gianduja) into a giant minigun, and starts firing, slaughtering the advancing horde of Grimm, including a Death Stalker and three Nevermores. Port and Oobleck regroup at the opening, nodding their heads. They fire their weapons at the approaching Grimm, while Glynda mops up the remnants and immediately closes the opening using her Semblance. At least, she thought. More Grimm come at them when Odyn levitates into the air and snaps his fingers, now being surrounded by countless swords of light.

"I'm ending this now. These things are annoying!," Odyn said.

Ruby knew what he was up to and yelled to everyone to clear the area.

"Everone, clear out! I think Odyn's got something big planned!," Ruby said.

The other students and teachers were confused, other than those who knew of what Odyn could do. Roy, Hailfire, Baron, Flare, and Khanna managed to escort everyone a safe distance away much to their confusion. Then for the first time, the entirety of Beacon witnessed some of the potential of one of its flame eyed students.

Odyn sheathed his blade as the entire skyline of Vale lit up and hundreds upon hundreds of swords of light were  seen. Down below, every single one of the professor's other than Syrbyrh and Tarro looked up in shock.

"Light Magic: Torrent of Blades!!!!," Odyn bellowed.

Less than a second later the countless swords of light descended upon the remaining Grimm impaling and destroying each one. The storm of light swords left no Grimm alive as every one of the monsters was defeated in the blink of an eye.

Almost all of the students looked on in shock at what just happened. One moment they were overrun with Grimm, the next, they were gone with the snap of the fingers. Even Ozpin was surprised a little by how much power Odyn appeared to wield.

"My word... the boy has such power!," Glynda thought.

"Ozpin never told me one of his students had that much power!," Ironwood thought.

"Hm... I knew the boy was powerful but, my word. I had no idea he had such immense power...," Ozpin thought.

Odyn then descended to the ground, noticing the stares he was receiving.

He rubbed the back of his head in nervous thought.

"Whoops... guess I may have revealed too much about myself, didn't I?," Odyn thought.

His magic attack had also sealed the opening for Grimm into Vale, so the city and citizens were safe now. Though, now everyone had questions about what type of beings they attended school with.

Time skip: Later on...

Later on, everyone meets in the pavilion as Roman Torchwick is escorted by Mercury and Emerald towards an Atlesian airship.

"Oh, I can't believe that you caught me, you've really taught me the error of my ways.," He said as an Atlesian knight grabbed his arm tighter.

"He-hey! Watch the hat!," Roman said struggling painfully.

Emerald and Mercury then approach Ruby and they smile at each other. This prompts the other teams to come over as they also exchange congratulations. The Elven teens are seen exchanging handshakes and fist bumps, while Sun and Neptune bump fists, Team CFVY likewise smile at each other, and Port and Oobleck do the same while Glynda watches from behind. 

Team OHRF and KDBNB make their way over to Team Rwby and JNPR and continue to celebrate a successful defense of Vale. The camera then points up into the orange and pink colored sky, signaling the sun setting.

Time skip: Later...

Afterwards, Team RWBY and Zwei are sitting on the edge of Beacon's landing platform, overlooking the City of Vale from across the lake.

"Well gang, we did it.," Yang said.

"Yeah, we did it alright.," Blake said.

" If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm gonna be seriously disappointed.," Weiss said.

Yang looked over with a raised eyebrow at her teammate.

"Uh Weiss, a two headed snake literally crushed a bakery. I wouldn't really count on it.," Yang said.

Ruby spoke up, adding her two cents on the matter.

"Plus, I mean, we didn't solve everything. A lot of people were hurt, and we still don't even know why they did this, or who that mystery girl was.," Ruby added.

Weiss sighed.

"I suppose. Not every story has a neat and tidy ending after all.," Weiss admitted.

Blake looked over and also added to the conversation.

"We might not have all the answers, but we do have a lot of dangerous people behind bars. And I think that's something we could be proud of.," Blake said.

Ruby then spoke up again, continuing the conversation as all 4 girls were lying on their backs now.

"Yeah! And if anyone tries something like this again, we'll be there to stop them.," Ruby said.

"Yay, teamwork, camaraderie, good guys, go team, alright, good job... So, what now?," Yang replied.

"I would suggest training for the tournament but, I think we have that covered at this point already. Don't we?," Weiss added.

"So then...," Blake started.

"Uhh... Time for bed?," Ruby suggested.

"Please.," Yang said.

"Absolutely.," Blake said in agreement.

"Yes, I agree.," Weiss said.

"I'm going to sleep forever.," Yang said.

Footsteps were heard before a familiar voice spoke up in response to Yang's comment.

"I don't know about sleeping forever. I think some of us might have an issue with you sleeping forever, Yang.," Roy said.

The girls looked up to see Team OHRF had walked over to them. Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang stood to their feet to greet the other teens. 

"I take it you four are heading back to the dorms?," Hailfire asked.

"Yeah, we're all more than a little tired from that mission.," Ruby replied.

"I see. We just wanted to see what your plans were now. Enjoy your rest.,"Odyn said.

Ruby then called out to Odyn as they were leaving, gaining his attention.

"Wait up, Odyn.," Ruby said before looking back to her teammates.

"No worries Rubes, take your time. We'll wait.," Yang said.

"Ok.," Ruby replied.

"Something wrong, Ruby?," Odyn asked.

"No no, nothing's wrong. I was just wondering...," Ruby said.

"Yes?," Odyn asked.

"Well uh... D-Do you have some time later? T-There's something important I n-need to t-tell y-you. I've uh... been meaning to for awhile now.," Ruby said desperately trying to hold back the blush that was attempting to come onto her face.

Odyn smiled.

"For you Ruby, I can make time. And uh... there's something important I need to tell you later as well, if you'll indulge me.," Odyn replied.

Ruby turned and smiled at him, saying one last thing before she rejoined her teammates.

"Great! I guess I'll talk to you later then!," Ruby said waving bye to him for now.

Odyn chuckled before rejoining his teammates.

"Yeah, talk to you later.. little rose.," He said.

Ruby rejoined her teammates on the way back to their dormroom as they chatted.

"What was that about, Rubes?," Yang asked.

"Oh that? I just had to talk to Odyn about something.," Ruby said.

"What about?," Blake asked.

Ruby suddenly became nervous as she tried to dodge the question.

"O-oh uh... n-nothing in particular. Heh heh. I just asked him if he had some time to talk later, that's all.," Ruby answered a bit nervously.

Yang grinned at her sister slyly.

"😏 Hmm? You sure about that Rubes? Sure you didn't want to tell him how you big of a crush you have on him?," Yang teased smiling slyly.

"Y-Yang! It's not like that! Is it so wrong that I want to talk to my friend later?," Ruby fired back.

Weiss sighed.

"Ruby.. You're not fooling anyone. We all know how you feel about Odyn. So why don't you just admit it and confess to him already?," Weiss said.

Blake and Yang just looked at a Weiss surprised,  they never expected her to say that. She raised an eyebrow when she noticed them looking at her.

"What? Do I have something on my face?," Weiss asked.

"No, we just never expected you to say it...," Yang said.

The girls then switched subjects as they chatted the rest of the way to their dorm room.

With Ozpin...

Vale's Government Council calls on Ozpin, who responds in his office. The headmaster aloofly stares outside his window.

"Ozpin?," Councilman 1 asked.

No response as Ozpin simply stares out of his window.

"Ozpin!," The Council said again to gain the headmaster's attention.

"Hm? Yes, Councilman?," Ozpin responded.

A video feed of the councilmen is shown on a holographic screen with Ironwood's video feed in the corner.

"Unfortunately due to recent incidents, you have left us with no choice! The Vytal Festival tournament cannot be broadcast, let alone held, if we are unable to ensure the safety of the citizens.," Councilman 1 said.

Ozpin sips from his cup as he listens.

"Ahem... Therefore, we have reached out to the Atlas Council and together have decided that the best action is to appoint General Ironwood as head of security for the event.," Councilman 1 said.

"Thank you, Councilman. Our Kingdom is happy to lend as many troops as it takes to ensure that the event runs smoothly and safely as possible.," Ironwood answered.

"And we thank you, General.," The Councilman said.

"Perhaps, you are not aware of this gentleman... but we do have a pair of distinguished guests visiting Vale for the Vytal Festival.," Ozpin said.

"Oh? All the more reason for the General being in charge of security for the event then. We'll make sure they are well protected.," The Councilman said.

"Concerning that matter, Councilman. It would seem they've brought their own escort.," Ozpin explained.

"They can simply dismiss them for the Festival while Atlas handles their wellbeing, can't they?," Councilman 2 added.

Ozpin went to say something else when Sybyrh spoke up.

"Pardon Headmaster, might I say something?,"Sybyrh asked.

"Of course.," Ozpin obliged.

"If you don't mind me saying this, Gentleman.... The guests are none other than their majesties, and we wouldn't put their safety  into the hands of certain... humans.," Sybryh said.

"Ozpin, who is this woman? And how dare she question our decisions!," Councilman 3 asked.

"Their majesties who were mentioned by miss Arkham here, are in fact the High King and the High Queen of the Elves.," Ozpin answered.

"Yes, and because of their Elven lineage, miss arkham feels as though they can't trust you. Elves generally don't trust Humans very much, according to them, we've done a very poor job of restoring any faith or trust they had in us.," Glynda explained.

"Ah, I see.. So your kind still doesn't trust us Humans much at all?," Ironwood asked.

"We trust you as far as the length between myself and the screen I'm looking at right now, General, Councilmen. I don't believe I need to remind you of what will happen should your kind mistreat the Elven people anymore than they are....," Sybryh said venomously.

Ironwood gulped before responding.

"That is noted, miss Arkham.," Ironwood said.

"We Elves would like to avoid a war with you Humans, if at all possible. Our goal is simply for peaceful coexistence between our two races. But should the mistreatment of us Elves continue... or we come to the conclusion that you humans have no intention of changing your ways... I don't think you humans are ready for a war with Elven kind.," Sybyrh said glaring at the Councilmen.

"Will that be all?," Ozpin asked.

"For now. But after this festival comes to a close, we are going to have a serious discussion about your position at Beacon Academy. General Ironwood's reports over the last few weeks have left us somewhat... concerned. I am sure you understand. And miss Arkham, we will consider your words of warning.," The Councilmen said.

The faceless councilmen's video feed disappears, leaving Ironwood's video feed alone with Ozpin. They silently stare at each other for a moment.

"This is the right move, Ozpin. I promise, I will keep our people safe, you have to trust me.,"Ironwood said.

He then looked towards the dark elf and spoke again.

"Your words are appreciated, miss Arkham.  Rest assured, I will personally do what I can to stop the mistreatment of your people. Atlas doesn't wish for a war against the Elves either, now that we've seen what one of your own is capable of.," Ironwood said.

"Though I appreciate your words, human, you'll to show us more than just pretty words to convince us. Show us Elves that your words aren't just for show, back it up with your actions.," Sybyrh told him.

"Your words are duly noted, miss Arkham.," Ironwood said before his video feed disappeared.

Ironwood hangs up the video call. Ozpin then turns his chair around to look at the large Atlesian Ariship outside his window. Sybyrh then bows in dismissal to excuse herself.

"If there is nothing else, I will excuse myself headmaster.," Sybyrh said as she left the office.

Tarro also bowed in apology.

"I'll talk to her, professor. I know this is pretty hard for Sybyrh right now.," Tarro said.

"No need, Mister Koizumi. What Sybyrh speaks is the truth. But do me one small favor, if you will.," Ozpin said.

"Certainly. What is this favor?," Tarro asked.

"Though she's strong dark elf many times stronger than regular humans are and the co commander of the Elven Vanguard, she's still a woman who's worried for her people. I want you to support miss Sybyrh, regardless of what happens with the Vytal Festival. I understand she has her younger brothers, but I feel she needs someone in her corner to have her back just in case. Can you do that?,"Ozpin requested.

Tarro nodded.

"I'll do what I can to support her.," the saiyan told him.

"Excellent. Now, you should probably go if you're to catch her.," Ozpin said.

Tarro nodded before briefly bowing his head and leaving the office.

Cuts briefly to Ironwood looking though the window of his flagship...

"You brought this on yourself, Ozpin...," Ironwood thought aloud.

Ironwood then walks toward a heavily guarded Roman in his holding cell, albeit without his signature hat.

"I've been informed by my men that so far you've refused to co-operate with the authorities.," Ironwood said.

Roman then chuckled a little as he spoke.

"I know this might be hard to believe, General, but uh... I'm not the biggest fan of local law enforcement.," Roman responded.

"Then how about the world's strongest military power?," He asked.

"Hmm.. first impressions... not great.," Roman replied.

Ironwood frowned before speaking up again, this time, slightly glaring at the crook.

"I'm going to give you one chance. Who's really behind all this?," Ironwood asked in an authoritative tone.

"Well isn't it obvious?," Roman said before continuing.

Ironwood leans his ear toward him to hear his answer.

"You're looking at him.," Roman answered. 

The General stood to his feet and sighed. This guy wanted to play things that way, huh? He figured two could play at that game then.

"Hm. Very well then, keep your secrets for now.," Ironwood said.

He then starts walking away.

"Hey, I thought you wanted to talk, General.,"Roman said in surprise.

He turned his head to answer the crook.

"The council's given me custody over you for as long as I see fit. So you can make yourself comfortable. I can be sure that you'll have plenty of time to talk.," Ironwood replied.

"Oh, wonderful. Hehehe...," Roman said.

The camera then zooms in on his face as his holding cell door closes.

Elsewhere...

Cinder, Emerald,  and Mercury meet discreetly on a rooftop. The silver haired boy still remembering his friends words to him.

"Be careful around Cinder.. I don't know what it is, but there's something.. off about her. You need to choose which side you're on, Merc. "Ours" or "Theirs"."

He remembered that although he was going along with their plan, this was all just an elaborate ruse to trick Cinder and Emerald into thinking he was with them. He just had to endure it a little bit longer...

"All in all, I call today a success.,"Cinder said.

"Yeah, but those stupid kids really made a mess of things... especially those flame eyed ones.," Emerald said.

"Yeah. A lot of Faunus didn't make it out the tunnels. You still think the White Fang's gonna listen to us?," Mercury added.

"No, but they'll listen to me.," Adam said.

The camera pans to Adam Taurus. The camera then cuts to black.

Evening: Beacon Dorms..

Ruby made her way out of her dorm room and up to the roof. There she saw a certain blue haired Dark Elf waiting for her. He turned and smiled at her as he spoke. He stood overlooking Vale as Ruby approached him.

"Hey there, Ruby.," Odyn greeted.

"Oh O-Odyn, Hi. Have you been waiting long?," Ruby greeted.

He shook his head and chuckled.

"Nah, I just got here myself. And as I recall a lady can take her time since it was her that requested this meeting.," Odyn replied.

"Oh ha ha, yeah. Guess I did say that, didn't I?," Ruby replied lightly laughing.

"So then, Ruby. What's on your mind?," Odyn asked.

"On my mind?," Ruby asked puzzled.

Odyn nodded.

"Yeah. You told me that there was something important that you needed to tell me earlier.," Odyn answered.

Ruby suddenly became nervous as she now remembered.

"O-oh R-Right! A-Ahem!," Ruby said clearing her throat.

"Come on! You can do this, Ruby! Tell him how you feel about him! If I don't say anything now, I know I'll regret it later..," Ruby inwardly thought.

"W-well O-Odyn, I uh... I appreciate that you've been willing to befriend a human girl like me. Even though your kind are scorned by humans, I know you're not the monsters they say you are. You've been so kind to me ever since my first day here. When I didn't know anyone aside from Yang, you were the first one who said anything to me. A quirky girl who was obsessed with weapons and you took the time to spend it with me. Whenever I felt down or was having a really bad day, you... you know just what to say to me. Both at the docks, and when we fought Torchwick a second and third time... you saved my life... without any regard to your own safety.  You've helped me so much in my time at Beacon. I've enjoyed every minute of our friendship and eventually I began to wonder... what if the two of us were more than just friends. It was confusing but... I eventually realized that I wanted to grow closer to you.," Ruby said now with a blush on her face.

"Ruby... what are you saying?," Odyn asked with wide eyes.

"What I'm uhh... t-trying t-to say is this.. O-Odyn Albanar... I like you- no... I-I'm.. I'm in love with you, Odyn Albanar!," Ruby admitted with her face flushed red and her heart pounding.

Odyn was shocked. Never in his wildest dreamed would he have imagined a girl as petite and quirky as Ruby developing romantic feelings for him. He smiled at her because he already knew what his answer was. He sighed before smiling at her.

"Seems you beat me to it, Ruby. I've long considered you to be my best friend, but also... someone that was irreplaceable. I don't know when it happened, but somewhere along the way.. you became a very important person to me. Now.. I can't even imagine what my life would be like without you in it. Though you're... unique in many ways, it's also endearing. What I'm trying to say is this...," Odyn said before leaning his forehead against Ruby's own.

He continued.

"I... feel the same way, little rose. I'm also in love with you.," Odyn said.

Ruby couldn't believe what she heard, all this time and... he felt the same way? Could her dream actually come true?

"But.. Ruby, you do know what a relationship like this between us means right?," Odyn asked.

"Yeah, I'm aware that there are those of my kind who'll look down and even despise me for falling in love with a Dark Elf. And... our races aren't exactly on good terms with each other right now.," She answered.

"If it came down to war between our two races... what would you do if I was on the other side?," He asked.

"I'd stand by your side, Odyn! Then... I'd fight to end the war between our kinds and make them take the time to understand each other! There's no reason why they shouldn't get along, they're both people!," she answered.

"Pfft, ha ha ha ha ha ha! (Hysterically laughs) Oh Ruby, I've never heard such a wonderful idea before!," Odyn laughed before continuing.

"The point I was making was that a romantic relationship between you and I wouldn't be easy. It'd very rocky... as far as getting humans to accept it that is. My race would welcome it. They've more or less known this would happen for quite awhile now. Even knowing all of that, are you sure you want to go through with this?," Odyn explained.

Ruby walked up to Odyn and wrapped her arms around his neck before closing her eyes. She then closed the gap between their lips as she kissed him. While, surprised at first, Odyn eventually wrapped his arms around Ruby's back as he relaxed into the gesture of affection. They eventually separated a moment later with both looking each other in the eyes, their faces still burning from their shared moment as a couple.

No words needed to be said in that moment. They both knew the time had come where neither could live without the other. 

"R-Ruby, I uh... w-wow...," Odyn said fumbling for words.

Ruby giggled.

"Hee Hee! You like my answer, Odyn?," Ruby asked lightly giggling.

Odyn nodded still awestruck.

"Uh.. y-yeah I could get used to that sort of answer.," Odyn answered.

"Well.. now that we're.. well you know.. a couple, I'll have to introduce you to my father.," Ruby said smiling.

"Yeah... and you already have my parents blessing, they told me as much themselves.," Odyn replied.

"So.. I guess this means we're boyfriend and girlfriend now?," Ruby asked.

"Publicly, yes. Though.. I think we're a little more than boyfriend and girlfriend at this point.," Odyn said.

"How so?," Ruby questioned.

"Boyfriends and girlfriends come and go.. However, I don't plan on leaving you for any reason. I'll stay with you for the rest of my life, if you'll have me.," Odyn said.

Ruby smiled.

"Of course. And I don't plan on leaving you either, Odyn. I want to stay with you and grow old together.," Ruby said.

Around the corner, the rest of Ruby's team heard their entire exchange before they looked. The 3 girls got the surprise of their life upon seeing Ruby kissing Odyn. They knew it would happen eventually, but they didn't think it would be now. They were happy for Ruby nonetheless. Yang smirked as she knew her sister was going to confess to Odyn soon enough. Blake smiled as she was genuinely happy for Ruby, and Weiss covered her face with her hands in embarrassment. But, the schnee couldn't keep herself from looking. That was her best friend after all.

Yang decided that she was going to commemorate the moment and take pictures of Ruby and her boyfriend. She made sure not to leave the flash on though to avoid being detected.

"So Rubes finally confessed huh? Good for you, sis.," The Blonde thought.

Odyn looked into his lover's eyes again before leaning in. Ruby, knowing what her boyfriend wanted, obliged and also leaned in. Their lips met again as they shared a gentle but passionate kiss as the camera then pans up to the night sky and moon before the scene fades to black.

And... done! Volume 2 has officially come to a close! Thanks for everyone who took the time to support and read this story! Next Chapter will start Volume 3. The main pairing finally came to fruition! So as you can tell there will be some challenges for Odyn and Ruby with their relationship now. Loose ends that will be tied up in the next Volume (hopefully lol) are: (1)What's happening with Pyrrha as she hears another voice inside of her, (2) Clarity on the relationship between Tarro and Sybyrh, (3) development for Baron x Flare, (4) Solve the mystery of who Hailfire ends up with later in the story, and (5) more development for Roy x Yang.

Anyways... I may include a separate chapter for Beat and Note as they're the pairing I'll do that for in the next Volume.  Hopefully you guys enjoyed that chapter!
