FGO System in the Type-Moon World

Chapter 6: Chapter 006: Matou Zouken—Die!

Reiji had only just arrived in this world.

Logically, his first priority should have been hunting down Servants, claiming the Holy Grail, and strengthening his forces.

But for Matou Zouken—

An exception would be made.

Reiji wasn't some heartless monster who killed without reason.

But he also wasn't the type to sit back in silence when someone came knocking on his door with hostile intent.

Especially when he possessed overwhelming power.

With Berserker by his side, he felt completely at ease.

But Zouken?

The old worm had no idea.

After all, he wasn't a Master—he couldn't sense Servants at all.

So, when he saw Reiji, he simply greeted him with his usual polite, elderly smile.

"Ah, young one… I don't know how you managed to dispose of my puppets…

"…but do you really think defeating a few worthless pawns is worth celebrating?"

Matou Zouken narrowed his eyes, his wrinkled face barely shifting as countless crest worms began swarming around him.

His magecraft was among the most revolting—yet also the simplest.

His only means of attack was to unleash his worms.

However, unlike Kariya Matou's crude use of worms against Tokiomi Tohsaka, this ancient monster, who had survived for centuries, had cultivated far more sophisticated and dangerous creatures.

This was the foundation of his confidence—the reason he had survived for so long.

As a magus, his power was undeniable.

But today, he made one fatal mistake—

Instead of running the moment he saw Reiji Souma…

He chose to fight.

"Perhaps, to you, this all seems like arrogance."

Reiji grinned, his sharp gaze locking onto Zouken.

"But that's just because you're too blind to see beyond your own limits."

Then, with a smirk, he gave the order—

"Kill him."

A sudden sense of unease rippled through Matou Zouken's ancient instincts.

But before he could process what was wrong, before he could react at all—

A crimson, barbed spear pierced through his chest.

Pain meant nothing to him.

But the identity of the attacker made his decayed eyes widen in shock.

"T-This… This is impossible! A Servant?!"

In that instant of disbelief, Cu Chulainn—Berserker—unleashed hell.

With a click of his tongue, his movements intensified.

His red spear burned through the air, so fast that sparks and steam erupted around it.

Every worm that entered his range—burned to ash.

Reiji activated Detection Mode, scanning the battlefield.

The red dots that had once filled the map—were gone.

With a satisfied nod, he gestured to Berserker.

Then, he turned to face the Matou estate.

"Now for the main event."

His voice was calm, but there was an edge of amusement in it.

"You felt it too, right? That wasn't his real body. Now, it's time to find the real one."

Hearing this, Berserker grinned, his jagged teeth showing in an eerie, delighted smirk.

"If he's the enemy, then there's nothing left to say."

With a single leap, his entire body became a streak of red light, vanishing into the estate.

Unlike his Lancer self, who would have waited for orders, this Cu Chulainn—Berserker—did not hesitate.

He had already memorized Zouken's scent from their fight.

And this version of him?

Would not stop until everything carrying Zouken's essence was erased from existence.

There was no doubt—

Matou Zouken was finished.

Cornered.

He could no longer escape.

Not only was he marked by a relentless Servant, but Reiji Souma could pinpoint his exact location.

He couldn't even run.

Couldn't even warn anyone.

All he could do was curl himself into a dark corner of the Matou estate, hoping that Berserker wouldn't find him.

But Reiji's Detection Magecraft had already exposed his hiding spot.

Through the Master-Servant connection, he relayed the location to Berserker.

And just like that, it was over.

The old worm was dead.

Standing over Fuyuki City's map, Reiji watched the last red marker disappear.

Then—

He smiled.

But at that moment—

His gaze flickered toward the edge of the estate's outer wall.

A small figure was there—hiding.

Watching him.

Her eyes filled with fear.

Reiji studied her for a moment, processing what he saw.

Then, realization dawned.

"…Matou… No… Tohsaka Sakura?"
