Chapter 4: Chapter 004: Now It’s Our Turn to Show No Mercy

Against magi, a Servant was a completely different class of existence.

And among them, Cu Chulainn Alter(Berserker) was an absolute monster—a being whose power and abilities were outright terrifying.

Under his assault, forget humans—even insects had no hope of escaping.

And with no surviving insects to relay information back, Matou Zouken had effectively lost all intelligence reports on the situation.

All he would learn was that the minions he sent out had been slaughtered.

That was all.

Would he ever guess that Reiji had summoned a Servant a whole two weeks early?

Would he ever imagine that the "insignificant bug" he dismissed was now marching straight for his throat?

Of course not.

It was impossible for him to even consider such an outcome.

...

"The old man won't let you get away with this!"

Despite suffering mortal injuries, Jiro Sakata, fueled by the crest worms, managed to glare at Reiji and spit out a final threat.

But at this point, his words were meaningless.

A pathetic bark from a dying dog.

Standing over him, Reiji coldly pressed his foot onto the only intact part of Jiro's head, staring down at the blood-soaked scene.

Yet, for some reason—

He felt nothing.

No emotions.

No guilt.

Maybe he was just a twisted person.

Maybe he simply didn't care about bloodshed.

But those thoughts weren't worth entertaining.

They didn't matter.

Instead, he just smirked and spoke with chilling certainty:

"The old worm won't let us go?"

He laughed coldly.

"Don't be ridiculous. Now it's our turn to show him no mercy."

Matou Zouken was the only magus in the Matou family's lineage.

And tonight—

The Matou family would be erased from the world of magecraft.

"Hah… You think you can take on the old man?"

Even as he lay dying, Jiro Sakata sneered.

"Who the hell do you think you are? Some brat who got lucky and picked up a little power? You think that's enough to take on him?"

His eyes burned with twisted confidence.

"You think that helper of yours is strong enough? Compared to the old man, you're nothing but—"

His words cut off abruptly.

Reiji casually kicked his broken body toward Cu Chulainn, who ripped him apart on impact.

Not even a corpse remained.

"Even though the old worm didn't come himself, he can't hide from my detection."

Turning his gaze forward, Reiji's eyes gleamed with deadly focus.

"Berserker, let's go."

His lips curled into a grin.

"I'm not about to eat my words after talking so big."

"Hmph. Got it."

Tonight, the Matou family would fall.
