FGO System in the Type-Moon World

Chapter 3: Chapter 003: Who the Hell Do You Think You Are?

As one of the Three Founding Families of the Holy Grail War, each family possessed its own distinct advantages.

The Tohsaka Family were the official overseers of Fuyuki City, controlling the mana ley lines and maintaining strong connections with both the Clock Tower and the local Holy Church. The Einzbern Family commanded a special army of homunculi, boasting combat power far superior to most magi factions. The Matou Family, however, was entirely propped up by one man—Matou Zouken, the ancient worm of Fuyuki.

That said, even Zouken couldn't handle everything alone.

Most of the time, he remained within the Matou estate, keeping his true body hidden, while his familiars—his countless disgusting crest worms—allowed him to manipulate others and gather information from the outside world.

Of course, when it came to hunting down Reiji Souma, Matou Zouken wouldn't personally take action.

Instead, he had sent out several puppets, each one infested with his crest worms, granting them limited magecraft abilities.

At first, Zouken had met Reiji in person—to observe his Command Spells up close.

The boy had escaped from his grasp.

Perhaps he had some survival instincts.

But that was all.

From his awkward movements, it was obvious that Reiji couldn't even cast an offensive spell.

Sending out a dozen puppets should be more than enough.

Satisfied with this plan, Matou Zouken calmly left his estate.

After all, he had other matters to attend to.

He was preparing to take in Tohsaka Tokiomi's "extra" daughter.

With Tohsaka Sakura's lineage, he could cultivate a superior heir—one that would secure his participation in the next Holy Grail War.

As for his Command Spells...

He sneered.

Once Sakura was in his grasp, he would baptize her with his crest worms, ensuring complete obedience.

It would also be amusing to see Kariya Matou—that foolish, sentimental fool—come crawling to beg for her sake.

Either way, this current war was already a lost cause.

There was no need to waste his Command Spells on it.

He could save them for more... entertaining purposes.

Smirking to himself, Matou Zouken stepped out the door.

What he didn't realize, however—was that of all the threats he currently faced, the most dangerous one was the very thing he had dismissed as insignificant.

The one thing he wasn't paying attention to.

And that wild card—was none other than Reiji Souma.

...

Many young people dreamed of awakening supernatural abilities—and Jiro Sakata was one of them.

At First, He Was Just an Ordinary Man…

Like many others, Jiro Sakata once led a mundane, repetitive life, cycling through the same routine day after day.

But recently, he had found a new source of excitement within his dull existence.

That was—magecraft.

It was almost magical in itself. One day, an old man shoved something into his arm.

And before he even realized it, he had gained the ability to control insects.

With this newfound power, the once oppressed and insignificant Jiro Sakata finally had the chance to unleash his desires.

He had committed multiple crimes since then, yet thanks to magecraft, he remained untouchable—no one could stop him.

Each successful crime not only honed his skills but also inflated his arrogance.

Aside from Matou Zouken, even among the other puppet-controlled subordinates, many had already fallen under his command.

This was a privilege granted to him by Zouken, and it only fed his growing ego.

The Next Target

This time was no different.

Matou Zouken had merely instructed them to capture a certain individual—without providing much detail.

After all, he assumed Reiji Souma was incapable of offensive magecraft, so there was no real danger involved.

And under normal circumstances, that assumption would have been correct.

But—no one could have foreseen what had already happened.

No one expected that Reiji had broken the rules and summoned a Servant.

Following the insects' reports, Jiro Sakata led a group of over ten men to encircle the target.

Then, with a smug expression, he casually strolled into the enclosure, smirking disdainfully as he laid eyes on the trapped Reiji Souma.

"So, you're the one we're after? Doesn't seem like much of a fight."

It was unclear whether his disdain was directed at Reiji himself or just pure arrogance.

Regardless, his sneer spoke volumes.

"Seriously? We needed this many people to deal with a piece of trash like you? Hell, I could've done this alone."

Cracking his neck, Jiro Sakata confidently walked toward Reiji.

Reiji let out a sigh, shrugging his shoulders as he shook his head in disappointment.

"I was expecting the old worm to come himself… Seeing you guys instead is just disappointing."

Then, with calm indifference, he gave the order:

"Berserker, kill them. Then follow me—we're hunting the real target."

The moment Reiji spoke, Cu Chulainn's blackened figure materialized in front of Jiro Sakata.

Before Jiro could even react properly, he stepped forward, narrowing his eyes, and arrogantly leaned his face closer to Berserker's.

"Some kind of invisibility magecraft? Tch, not bad. Maybe once I kill you, I can have the old man transfer that ability to me."

As he spoke, Jiro Sakata's gaze swept over Cu Chulainn's figure from head to toe.

"But this is your so-called trump card? What the hell is up with that outfit? Cosplay?"

A mocking grin spread across his face.

"You seriously look like an idiot."

Then, his expression darkened as he glared directly at the Berserker-class Servant.

"Hey, you bastard. Do you even know who the hell you're dealing with? You think you can stand in front of me?!"

With that, Jiro Sakata swung a full-force punch at Cu Chulainn's head.

His fist, enhanced by magecraft and crest worms, packed enough strength to pulverize a normal human skull.

But in response—

Cu Chulainn's grin simply vanished.

That was it.

That was all it took.

Forget his blackened self—even if this were his Lancer version, he would still be beyond pissed.

Watching this unfold, Reiji simply shook his head and turned away, his back facing the group of fools who had just sealed their fate.

Some might call his actions reckless.

But there was no need to waste time worrying about the dead.

Because the moment Reiji turned his back—

A low, chilling voice rumbled through the air, accompanied by the sickening crunch of bones being torn apart.

"Kill them all."
