FGO System in the Type-Moon World

Chapter 2: Chapter 002: The Black Cu Chulainn

As the summoning light reached its peak, the being within began to take shape…

First, a Silver Card...

A silver card appeared first, pausing briefly before golden lightning burst forth.

The golden glow, initially just a small spark, quickly spread across the entire surface of the card.

The moment it fully turned over, a streak of red emerged before Reiji Souma's eyes.

A crimson summoning circle expanded outward—not too large, not too small—its surge of magical energy warping the very space around it into something otherworldly.

A towering figure slowly took form within the light, exuding a presence so overwhelming that it suppressed all surrounding mana flow.

The figure stood nearly two meters tall, clad in a long black coat.

Like a demon that had climbed out of hell, his body was covered in jet-black armor adorned with crimson spikes. The only exposed skin—aside from his face—was marked with red tattoos forming the image of a skull. His twisted grin, paired with his blood-red eyes, was a testament to his ruthless nature.

Reiji recognized this face instantly.

And the moment he saw this Servant, an excited sense of anticipation surged within him.

If it was him…

Forget about Matou Zouken—even winning the Holy Grail War had just become a very real possibility!

"Cu Chulainn, summoned at your command... So, you're my Master?"

Seemingly bothered by Reiji's intense gaze, the red-eyed Cu Chulainn rolled his neck, stretching his body slightly. His crimson, barbed spear was casually slung over his shoulder.

Reiji took a deep breath, nodding as he forced himself to stay calm.

"The Holy Grail War doesn't begin for another half a month, but I'm already in danger. I need your help."

He quickly explained his current situation, and Cu Chulainn silently nodded in response.

This Berserker version of Cu Chulainn was completely different from his Lancer or Caster counterparts.

His combat abilities were significantly higher, but at the same time, his entire thought process had changed.

Unlike before, he no longer cared whether his opponent was a Master or a Servant.

He didn't care whether a fight was fair or interesting.

He no longer pursued the honor of a hero.

To Berserker Cu Chulainn, it was simple—anything standing in his way must be crushed.

"I may be a warrior of Ulster, but now that I've been summoned as a Servant, I'll do my duty."

Hearing the Black Dog speak, Reiji smirked.

For him, a Servant like this was perfect.

But before he could say anything more, the system's voice unexpectedly echoed again.

[Servant Successfully Summoned! Reward Acquired: Absolute Detection Magecraft]

[Saint Quartz depleted. Host must kill Servants to acquire more Saint Quartz.]

Hearing this, Reiji's smile widened.

Originally, he had no choice but to wait for Matou Zouken to come looking for him.

But now?

It seemed that he could take the initiative—and completely annihilate the old worm on his own terms.

Honestly, he had always found the guy disgusting.

Now that Zouken had made him an enemy, he had only brought his death upon himself.

"Wait a moment—I'll locate our target first."

Reiji immediately activated his Detection Magecraft.

As a faint glow flickered within his pupils, the world around him shifted—as if transformed into a grid-based blueprint, where every existence in the area became visible in his mind's eye.

Among them, a single red dot was rapidly approaching the green dot that marked his own location.

Reiji knew exactly what that meant.

The red dot belonged to his target—the old worm himself, Matou Zouken.

There was another red dot back at the Matou mansion, but Reiji didn't care about that right now.

Because once he killed the one coming for him, he would hunt down the rest without mercy.

"Berserker, enter Spirit Form for now. The enemy will arrive soon. If they sense your presence, that coward might turn tail and flee."

"That would be troublesome."

"Hmm... Alright."

Cu Chulainn didn't argue.

He simply nodded, his body fading into a translucent shadow before completely disappearing.

Meanwhile, Reiji remained standing exactly where he was, not making any attempt to hide or flee.

His expression was cold and composed, his gaze fixed forward as he awaited the enemy's arrival.

With Berserker as his trump card, Matou Zouken was no longer an opponent he needed to fear.

"Looks like it's time to switch from defense to offense."
