Chapter 169: Clean Up Duty [1]
Third POV:
Brishisan stood alongside several other people in an open field that used to be the battleground for the war with Crimson Moon.
Three days ago, the field had been nothing but a barren wasteland filled with craters and burning fields. Now, it looked as if nothing bad had ever happened. It was a field of grass with mountains in the distance, clean of any signs of battle.
Brishisan had to admit that he was impressed by how fast Zack fixed the area.
Speaking of the Elemental, the world suddenly changed into a lively forest and the sun in the sky vanished. Brishisan recognised it as Zack's Reality Marble.
Said Ultimate One appeared soon after in his wood element from between the trees, the mark of planet Earth floating behind him like before.
"Hello there," Zack greeted.
First POV: Zack
Three days. It took me three days to fix the damage done by the fight between me and Brunestud. Usually, it takes me minutes to fix an area or field, but the damage was so severe it took me freaking days.
"I see you did as I told you," I commented as I looked at those besides Brishisan.
Zelretch and Ainzel were there. I guess since they were Magicians. There was four other people.
One was dark skinned man wearing the clothes of a scholar, hat and everything. He had an odd distant look as he saw me. It was like he was studying my existence itself. He was also wearing a few Arabian necklaces.
The other man looked less interested in me and more interested in the area around us, specifically my Reality Marble. He had weird cult robes that were completely black.
The third person was a man in priest clothes. The robes he was wearing were completely white and he had a staff with a cross at the top.
The last person was actually a woman. She was wearing the most stereotypical witch robes and hat I have ever seen and looked really old. She was carrying a staff with a few skulls tied to the top.
"It was not easy, especially with the time frame you asked for," Brishisan's irritation was obvious in his voice. "This is Ahmed, the Lord of the Atlas Scholars," he motioned to the dark skinned guy. "This is Theodore, one of the Lords of the Wandering Sea," he motioned to the guy in black robes. "This is Marcus, the representative of the Church," he motioned to the priest. "And this is Melissa, representative of the Witches."
Atlas Scholars? I guess they're not called 'Institute' yet. He said that Theodore was one of the 'Lords' of the Wandering Sea, as in plural, meaning that place is run by more than one person. I really didn't expect the church to be involved but I can work with this. As for the witch, Gordon told me once that the Mage Association has a sector made for Witches, so I'm not
very surprised.
"Well, let me introduce myself. I am Green Earth Zack. Type Earth and the planet's Ultimate One. Just call me Zack, for the sake of time," I introduced myself as I waved my hand created a large table with several chairs for everyone to sit in.
"Kekeke, the planet's Avatar," Melissa chuckled and looked at me in something close to reverence. "I am quite honored to be in the presence of the most powerful Elemental in the world."
"You called for this meeting while specifically asking for us in high position," Ahmed stated as he stroked his chin. "In other words... we are supposed to represent humanity. Is this correct?"
"That's right," I nodded. "You people are the bridge between humanity and the mystics. You're the ones governing humanity's take on the planet's life. As such, I am here to negotiate."
"Before any of that, I'd like to ask," Zelretch cut us off and drew attention to himself. "What is... wrong with this place? I'm human again and my Magic stopped working."
"I have noticed that as well," Theodore added, still looking more interested in my Reality Marble. "I can no longer sense my Magical Circuit and I attempted to subtly use mage-craft to no avail. Is this place cancelling mystics?".
"It's not cancelling as much as just stating facts," I said and they all began paying close attention. "My Reality Marble, which is called 'Nature's Law', is a domain where only humanity and the world can exist. You are only one of either but you cannot be anything else. No mystics like mage-craft, Magic, or even mystical species like fairies and vampires can exist here. If a Vampire or Fairy were to enter this domain, they would become human."
It's honestly unfair. Even Gods would be reduced to having a human vessel if they enter Nature's Law. Only things that exist here is nature like trees and animals and humans. Nothing 'unnatural' is allowed to happen.
"In other words, it is a domain where you, a being that relies on no mystics whatsoever, reigns supreme," Ainzel commented.
"Pretty much," I shrugged my shoulders. That was also why Nature's Law was so unfair. I don't use mystics whatsoever, so my powers aren't effected.
"I believe its rather wonderful to see a world uninterrupted by the arts of mage-craft. A place made as God created the world," Marcus commented, honestly sounding like he enjoys the scenery more than taking a crack at Magus.
"Glad you like it," I said before crossing my arms.
"Now, let's talk business."
