Fate/One with Nature

Chapter 165: Vampiric Struggle [2]

Boy, these guys are seriously cliche," I groaned as I looked down at the city of vampires.

The whole place looked like something out of some medieval fantasy city. Castles straight out of a vampire fantasy book covered the whole area.

I was hiding inside one of the clouds in the sky. I wasn't really worried about being discovered since I don't give any mystical energy for others to sense.

I had to wait for the Magus to be in position to begin creating the barrier in secret. After that, I will go in and start causing noise, but not enough to draw in Crimson Moon.

I'm really nervous about that last part.

Just then, a bird made of crystals flew into the cloud and passed by me. That was the signal. With that in mind, I turned to my metal element and just started plumbing down right into the middle of the city.

Third POV:

Zack's body crashed into the city while breaking through the walls of one of the castles and landing in the road between them.

The citizens, which were entirely made up of either Apostles or Ancestors, all stopped what they were doing and looked at the giant dust cloud that kicked up from the landing.

Zack stood up and shook off the rubble as the dust finally settled down and he found hundreds of eyes looking at him. "Good evening. Are you people willing to indulge me for... maybe an hour? Hopefully two?"

"You, you're Archetype Earth!?" One of the Ancestor cried out, seeing the mark on Zack's chest.

"Yes, and your point?" Zack asked with a tilt of his head.

"We heard you were siding with the humans, but for you to personally attack our territory is beyond stupid. Or, perhaps, are you here to ask for forgiveness?" One of the Ancestors mocked.

"The only forgiveness that should be asked for here is for how ugly you guys turned out to be," Zack replied with a laugh.

"You dare-?! Have you any idea of the position you're in?!" The Ancestor yelled and waved his hand, motioning to the surrounding area, which was now filled with vampires. "Look around you! Surely even you know that you cannot defeat us all! And even if you did, our King will never be quiet!"

"Oh, sure. Prove that you idiots can never take me on in a fight without ganging up or begging your king for help," Zack taunted while crossing his arms.

He knew that the Ancestors, as they are, were all incredibly prideful. Controlling them through mockery should be easy. He needed to limit the fighting and their desire to have their king involved, and making them want to show off in one-on-one fighting is the best chance to do that.

It apparently worked as one of the Ancestors attacked while the others all stood by. The one that attacked was wearing a white suit and had short blond hair.

Zack turned to his water element and allowed the Ancestors claws to pass through him. As soon as they did, the Elemental changed into his metal element and trapped the Ancestor's arm inside his body.

Zack grabbed the Ancestor's entire head with his hand and turned it into Lava. He forced the molten fire into the nose and mouth, burning the insides of his body.

The Ancestor ripped his arm free and jumped back. He began spitting out the lava and glaring, his immortality keeping him alive but not unharmed as the damage was rather severe.

His turn was apparently over as another Ancestor jumped in while he jumped back. This one wearing a black royal suit.

This Ancestor didn't outright attack. Instead, he held his hands together where the silhouette of a cube appeared. The Ancestor moved his hands in a motion as if he was ripping the cupe apart and, suddenly, a violent force slashed around Zack, tearing his body into pieces.

Zack's body reformed from the pieces. "That was a neat trick. Let me try it," Zack turned to his wind element and slashed his claws at the Ancestor.

Powerful gusts of wind slashed forward and tore through the Ancestor and completely shredded his body. While that one was regenerating, another Ancestor, one also with a dark red suit, came in from behind Zack and slashed downwards, attempting to destroy his body entirely.

Zack's body vanished as the winds that make it up broke apart before the Ancestor can even attack. As he landed, Zack's body reformed above him and he transformed into his metal element with his foot forming a spike.

Stomping down, the spike-foot tore through the Ancestor's back and out his chest, sending him to the ground and stabbing into it. Zack created several other spikes and pierced them through the fallen Ancestor's limbs.

"Who's next? I can do this all day," Zack stated as he walked away from the impaled vampire. (Please don't take that seriously. Just get the barrier over with, Brishisan,) he thought while holding back a groan.

He wanted to get things over with as soon as possible. The longer the fight, the more chances of Crimson Moon appearing.
