Fate: Zero to Hero

Chapter 219: Helheim

Akuta, Carmilla, Vlad and Binah were teleport into that of Helheim using that do Skaid ruins, they looked around the 3 of them was on the shadow Snake Binah, as they got up Binah back

Vlad looked around as he spoke. "So this what the underworld in the Norse Mythology looks like".

Akuta looked around with an unimpressed expression. "I've seen worse."

Carmilla scoffed. "A cold, desolate wasteland... fitting, I suppose."

Binah slithered forward cautiously, its massive shadowy form blending into the dim atmosphere of Helheim. The air was thick with an eerie stillness, as if the land itself resented the presence of the living. Jagged ice formations jutted out from the ground, and in the distance, massive chains hung from the dark sky, binding something unseen.

Vlad narrowed his eyes. "This place reeks of death. Not the honorable kind, but the forgotten, the discarded."

Akuta crossed her arms. "We're here for the seal to the Bifrost. If we waste time sightseeing, we'll have to deal with worse than just the cold."

As they moved forward, the ground beneath them cracked slightly. Binah hissed in warning, stopping just in time before a jagged spike of ice erupted from below. The moment it did, ghostly figures began to emerge from the shadows—souls of the dead, twisted and lingering, their hollow eyes staring at the intruders.

Carmilla smirked, drawing her claws. "Well, this just got interesting."

Vlad grinned, his spear forming in his hand. "Let's give them a proper burial."

Akuta sighed, summoning her own weapons. "Make it quick. The Queen of Hel is surely watching."

Vlad looked around as he spoke. "I wonder if Master was here what will he do here"

Akuta scooped as she spoke. "Probably add a few thousand more Undead to his shadow army".

Carmilla chuckled darkly. "Knowing him, he'd probably make Hel herself kneel before him."

Vlad smirked. "Wouldn't put it past him. He has a habit of turning enemies into allies... or subordinates."

Binah let out a low hiss, sensing something approaching. The ghostly figures circling them seemed hesitant, as if something even more terrifying lurked beyond them. The temperature dropped further, and a chilling voice echoed through the frozen wasteland.

"You do not belong here, living ones."

From the swirling mists ahead, a figure emerged—tall, draped in tattered robes of deep black and icy blue. Half of her face was skeletal, the other pale and eerily beautiful. The Queen of Hel, Hela, had arrived. Her empty eye sockets seemed to pierce through them as she slowly stepped forward, her bony fingers twitching.

Akuta narrowed her eyes. "Took you long enough to show up."

Hela's lips curled into a smirk. "Bold words for mortals trespassing in my domain. Tell me... what do you seek in my realm?"

Vlad twirled his spear, unfazed. "The seal to the Bifrost. Hand it over, and we leave."

Hela tilted her head. "And if I refuse?"

Carmilla licked her lips. "Then we'll do what our Master would—take it by force."

The Queen of Hel let out a chilling laugh. "How amusing. Very well, then. Let's see if you can survive Helheim's judgment."

With a wave of her hand, the frozen ground cracked open, and monstrous wraiths began to rise, their hollow screams filling the air. The battle for the seal had begun.

Hela then spoke Looking at them as she unsummond then undead. "Or I would do that, but just Go ahead".

Akuta then spoke. "Then a fight you will ge- wait what?".

Hela looked at a bit confused as she spoke. "I said go ahead, I don't care, father already told me about you guys, I have been waiting so long for Ragnarok to start".

Akuta looked at her as she spoke. "You are not the guardian".

Hela spoke and looked at her. "No, but he is near the seal waiting".

Vlad raised an eyebrow. "So, you're just letting us walk through?"

Hela shrugged. "Why not? It's not my job to stop you. Besides, I'm more interested in seeing how things play out. Ragnarok has been long overdue."

Akuta crossed her arms. "And your 'father' told you about us? Let me guess... Loki."

Hela smirked. "Who else? He told me to expect a group of troublesome mortals meddling in divine affairs. He was right, it seems."

Carmilla sighed. "For once, Loki actually made things easier for us. That's a first."

Binah hissed, still wary, but Hela simply gestured toward the distant ruins ahead. "Go on. But be warned—he's not as accommodating as I am."

Vlad twirled his spear. "I assume 'he' is the guardian?"

Hela nodded. "The one bound to the seal. He has been here for eons, ensuring that no one—god or mortal—dares break it."

Akuta narrowed her eyes. "And who exactly is this guardian?"

Hela's eerie grin widened. "You'll see soon enough."

With that, she turned and walked away into the mist, leaving the group to continue toward the seal, unsure of what—or who—awaited them.

As the group ventured deeper into the foggy landscape of Helheim, the air grew colder, and the oppressive weight of the underworld settled upon them. The ground beneath their feet was barren, cracked, and uneven, with only the occasional flicker of eerie green light illuminating the path forward. The silence was broken only by the distant howls of lost souls and the occasional scrape of a shadow against the ground.

Vlad gripped his spear tightly, his eyes scanning the surroundings with caution. "This place... it feels wrong. The power here is unlike anything I've ever felt."

Akuta, ever the skeptic, simply sneered. "Of course it feels wrong. It's Helheim. Everything about this place is wrong. But we've got a job to do, and I intend to see it through."

Carmilla, staying close to Akuta, let out a soft hum of agreement. "I don't like the way things are so quiet. Too quiet. Something's definitely off."

Binah, slithered forward with unsettling grace. "The seal Loki spoke of... Do you think it's connected to the ancient magic that binds this place?"

Akuta gave a slight nod. "It has to be. The power that keeps this realm together, the forces that stop even gods from interfering—it's all tied to that seal. And I'll bet that guardian Hela mentioned is what's keeping it in check."

The deeper they walked into the desolate wasteland, the darker and colder it became. Shadows seemed to stretch unnaturally long, as if they were alive, waiting for the right moment to strike. Just as the atmosphere became unbearable, a massive figure materialized before them, emerging from the mist. It was a being that towered above the group, shrouded in heavy armor, and its face obscured by a helmet adorned with intricate symbols. The guardian.

It spoke with a voice that seemed to reverberate through the very ground beneath their feet, deep and foreboding. "Who dares approach the seal of Helheim?"

Akuta's eyes narrowed as she stepped forward, her presence unwavering. "We've come for the seal. We need to pass."

The guardian tilted its head slightly, its massive sword resting at its side. "Many have come before you, seeking to break the seal, seeking to control what should not be controlled. None have succeeded."

Vlad stepped forward as well, gripping his spear tightly. "We're not here to destroy the seal. We only wish to pass and claim what is ours."

The guardian's laugh was low and mocking, like the rumble of distant thunder. "Claim? You believe you are worthy of this power?" It took a step closer, the ground shaking with its weight. "Prove it, then. Show me that you are worthy to stand in the presence of Helheim's greatest secret."

Binah's eyes glinted dangerously as she hissed. "We don't need to prove anything to you. We'll take what we want, and you will fall."

The guardian's gaze darkened as it raised its sword, the air around it rippling with energy. "Then come. Let me see if you are truly prepared to face what lies beyond."

The ground trembled, and the fight for control of the seal was about to begin.

Binah moves in high speed, she rapped her sled around the guardian and slammed into the wall, the shadow sank hisses, as her body started to grow bigger as she then actived her own venom, as she looked at the Guardian, Binah then smacked ehe tail into the Guardian, The guardian grunted as Binah's shadow snake tail slammed into its armored form, sending it skidding back, the force of the blow shaking the ground beneath them. The guardian's feet dug into the cracked earth, but it remained standing, a towering figure of strength and resilience.

Vlad, perched on Binah's head, swung his spear with deadly precision, aiming for the guardian's exposed side. The guardian, however, effortlessly caught the shaft of the spear, his massive hand gripping it like a vice. With a growl, the guardian twisted the spear out of Vlad's hands, sending it flying across the battlefield.

"Is that all you've got?" the guardian taunted, his voice booming through the air.

Binah hissed, her body shifting as she wrapped the shadows tighter around the guardian, trying to restrict its movements. Her venom spread through the tendrils of shadow, seeking to weaken and poison the guardian's flesh. But the guardian's dark armor glowed with a faint, eerie light, resisting the venom's corrosive power.

With a powerful roar, the guardian slammed its sword into the ground, sending out a shockwave of energy that knocked Binah back. The shadow snake hissed angrily, coiling around the impact site, but the guardian's strength was overwhelming. It stepped forward with a ferocity that matched its size.

"Your tricks will not work here," the guardian growled, his eyes narrowing. "Helheim's power is absolute. You cannot defeat me with mere shadows."

Akuta, watching the exchange, saw an opening. "Binah, get back! We'll need something bigger to take this thing down!"

Without hesitation, Binah sprang backward, her body darting out of the way just as the guardian swung its massive sword in a wide arc. The blade cut through the air like a lightning strike, narrowly missing the serpent's tail.

Vlad leapt down from Binah's head, his eyes filled with determination. He cracked his knuckles as he called out to the others. "Let's see if we can wear this beast down!"

Carmilla, ever the strategist, scanned the battlefield with a calculated look. "Vlad, focus on its weaknesses! I'll provide support!"

As the guardian prepared for another strike, Vlad dashed forward, aiming for a gap in the guardian's armor where the glowing energy pulsed faintly. With speed and precision, he launched an attack, aiming to pierce through the weak spot. The guardian, however, reacted just in time, raising its sword to block the incoming strike.

The battle intensified as Binah reformed her position, circling the guardian, ready to strike once more with her venomous shadows, and Carmilla prepared to unleash her blood magic in an attempt to weaken the guardian further.

The struggle for dominance in Helheim had only just begun, and the outcome remained uncertain.

Akuta looked at the two vampire as she then gave to vials of blood, as she pull her own as she went on full vampire mode. "I don't care how much you hate drinking blood Vlad, I not Ritsuka so I command you". She drinked her own vial, as her power raised up, as two bat like wings came out her back, as her eyes glow red. "So these are the modification that the Alien God told me about, too bad I Never I used this in my own lostbelt".

Vlad looked at Akuta with a mixture of surprise and reluctance. "You... really are just like him," he muttered, his eyes narrowing as he glanced at the vial in his hand. Despite his aversion to blood drinking, he couldn't deny the power it promised. Akuta's aura had shifted, becoming more intense, and the bat-like wings that sprouted from her back signaled an incredible increase in her vampiric abilities.

"Fine," Vlad growled, taking the vial from Akuta's hand. He drank it in one swift motion, his body instantly reacting to the infusion of power. His pale skin darkened slightly as his crimson eyes glowed with renewed strength, his fangs elongating. The vampire king now stood in full, overwhelming power.

Akuta's grin widened as she watched the transformation. "Good, now let's show this Guardian the true power of Helheim's visitors."

The guardian, noticing the sudden surge of energy from the two vampires, narrowed its glowing eyes. It was evident that the battle was escalating, but it refused to back down. "Foolish creatures," it spat. "You think you can defeat me with such simple tricks? Helheim's power will crush you!"

Binah, who had been silently observing, coiled her shadow form even tighter around the guardian, her venomous aura swirling, trying to break its defenses. However, the guardian's glowing armor seemed to be repelling her attacks, and she hissed in frustration.

Vlad took a step forward, his voice low but filled with command. "Let's make this quick."

With his newfound power, Vlad's speed and strength had multiplied tenfold. He rushed toward the guardian, his spear now crackling with dark energy, each step shaking the ground beneath him. The guardian raised its sword in defense, but it was too slow.

Vlad's attack was a blur—he moved with inhuman speed, his spear striking at the guardian's weak spots with deadly precision. He was everywhere at once, and the guardian found it increasingly difficult to react. Every blow left deep cracks in the guardian's armor, and for the first time in the battle, the creature seemed vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Akuta, her wings unfurled and glowing with a blood-red hue, hovered above the battlefield. She concentrated for a moment, and then a dark aura enveloped her. "Let's finish this," she muttered. Her eyes glowed brighter as she summoned the full force of her vampiric might. She extended her hands forward, calling upon the blood magic granted to her by the Alien God.

Streams of dark, crimson energy shot out of her hands, striking the guardian from multiple angles. The dark blood magic wrapped around the guardian's body, seeping into the cracks Vlad had created, further weakening the creature.

With a roar of pain, the guardian stumbled back, its once-imposing figure now faltering under the combined assault of Akuta and Vlad. The energy of Helheim seemed to be fighting against the invaders, but it wasn't enough to protect the guardian from their onslaught.

"You're nothing but a puppet of this place," Akuta said coldly, her wings flicking as she descended rapidly toward the guardian. She landed with a powerful thud, her fist surrounded by the same dark blood magic that crackled in the air.

With a final, resounding blow, Akuta punched the guardian in the chest, her energy surging through it like a tidal wave. The guardian let out a scream as its armor shattered, and the last remnants of its strength dissolved under the force of her strike.

The ground trembled as the guardian collapsed, its body crumbling into dust. A heavy silence fell over the battlefield as the echoes of the battle faded.

Akuta wiped a small trace of blood from her lip and looked down at the defeated guardian. "Pathetic," she muttered.

Vlad stood beside her, breathing heavily but with a satisfied grin. "Not bad for a first taste," he said, glancing at her with a new sense of respect.

"Now," Akuta said, turning her attention to the looming entrance to the next part of Helheim. "Let's go finish what we came for."

With their power on full display, Akuta and Vlad led the way, their combined might ready to take on whatever lay ahead in Helheim.
