Chapter 10: Chapter 10. Power over 5000
Having a father like that, as a son, you must be proud.
But looking at Raditz, why does he seem so indifferent?
"Brother Kahn..."
Son Goku stared blankly at Kahn, utterly shocked. If he had doubts about Raditz's words, he couldn't deny what Kahn said. Growing up with Kahn, he trusted him deeply.
Kahn waved a hand, signaling Son Goku to stay silent.
Raditz, recovering from his own shock, suddenly laughed.
"Hahaha!" Raditz's laughter echoed before he turned to Kahn.
"So what if it's true? The past is the past; we need to look forward to it."
He smirked.
"Serving King Frieza is an honor. Come on, Kahn, Kakarot, join us. The Saiyan race is nearly extinct. We should stick together, shouldn't we?"
Kahn's voice turned icy.
"Proud of killing your own father? Seems like your brain's been rattled. Kakarot and I won't join Frieza. We don't need a brother like you."
Son Goku chimed in.
"Raditz, stop dreaming—we'll never join you!"
Raditz, unfazed, glanced at Vados beside Kahn with a sneer.
"I get it now. You've settled down on this backwater planet because of her, huh? Your wife, right?" He chuckled darkly.
"Maybe I should help you rethink your choice."
Raditz, calculating, knew that Kakarot would follow Kahn's lead. If he could handle Kahn, Kakarot would join him without a second thought.
Raditz stepped toward Vados, a twisted grin on his face.
"Ah! Husband, he's terrifying!" Vados gasped, paling.
"Don't worry, I'm here."
Kahn moved Vados behind him, a flash of anger in his eyes.
Suddenly, Raditz closed the gap, throwing a fierce knee strike straight at Kahn's stomach.
Thud!
Raditz's knee connected—but Kahn didn't move an inch. He remained solid as a stone.
"What?!"
Raditz looked up, stunned, only to meet Kahn's cold, piercing gaze. A chill ran down Raditz's spine, as if he had plunged into ice.
Boom!
In an instant, Kahn released his full aura, a flood of power that shook the air around them.
Son Goku's eyes widened.
"Such power...! Kahn's strength has grown so much in just a month!"
Master Roshi, equally shocked, muttered,
"This young man… what a powerful force! It's the strongest I've ever felt!"
Kahn's energy was like an endless ocean—impossible to measure.
"This… this is unreal!"
Krillin, trembling, collapsed to the beach in a cold sweat.
Meanwhile, the scouter on Raditz's eye beeped wildly as it tracked Kahn's rising power.
Kahn's combat power quickly surpassed 2,000, continuing to climb past 2,500, then 3,000, then 4,000!
"Four...four thousand?! This can't be happening!" Raditz stumbled back, fear plastered on his face. But Kahn's power kept rising.
The scouter beeped frantically until Kahn's combat power finally stopped at a terrifying 5,300.
"Five thousand three?!"
Raditz tore off the scouter and crushed it in disbelief. How could Kahn, a low-class Saiyan, have such strength when he himself was only at 1,500?
"Acting tough in front of Vegeta and Frieza, but going all out against your own brothers… why would we ever follow a coward like you?"
Kahn's expression darkened.
"Neither Kakarot nor I will ever acknowledge you as our brother. You'll pay for what you just tried to do!"
Kahn hadn't wanted to fight Raditz, but to threaten his wife—unforgivable.
With that, Kahn struck.
Thud!
Raditz's eyes widened as Kahn's fist sank deep into his abdomen, the force of the blow shattering his body like glass.
"Ahhh!"
Raditz coughed up blood, his legs buckling. In one punch, Kahn had crushed him.
Grabbing Raditz by the hair, Kahn raised his head, glaring down at him.
"You dare threaten my wife? You're a real disappointment, Raditz."
Raditz, face pale, stammered,
"P-please, Kahn… For the sake of our parents, let me go!"
Kahn's voice turned cold.
"Now you remember them? When you heard they were gone, what did you feel, Raditz? Did you feel anything at all?"
"Tell me—were you even a bit sad?"
