Dragon Ball:Vados is my Wife

Chapter 9: Chapter 9. Our stupid Brother

"Fighting tribe… Saiyans?!"

After Kahn's brief explanation, Goku finally understood the truth of his origins.

At the same time, Bulma, Krillin, and Master Roshi were equally shocked to learn the real background of both Kahn and Goku.

It turned out that Kahn and Goku were not from Earth at all but were Saiyans from Planet Vegeta in the universe. At last, they understood why Kahn and Goku had tails—something unheard of for Earthlings—and why they transformed into savage Great Apes under a full moon.

"Honey, do you mind this?" Kahn asked, finally revealing his alien origins to Vados.

Vados shook her head. "No, I don't care where my husband is from, as long as it's you."

"Thank you." Kahn felt relief. He had been worried she might be bothered by his extraterrestrial origin, but it seemed he was overthinking.

"If Kahn and Goku are from another planet, how did they end up on Earth?" Krillin asked, still finding it hard to accept that Kahn and Goku were aliens.

"The answer is simple,"

Raditz replied with a grim smile.

"They were sent here to eliminate all life on this planet. We Saiyans are a proud warrior race. After a planet is cleared of life, we sell it at a high price to alien buyers looking for a new home. That's our job."

He continued,

"Planets with high combat power are handled by adult fighters. For lower-level planets like Earth, we send children to do the job—like Kahn and Kakarot."

Raditz's words left everyone, except Kahn and Vados, in stunned silence.

Krillin's forehead beaded with sweat, and he said grimly.

"If he's telling the truth, they're monsters! Even Piccolo seems gentle in comparison!"

Goku was equally shaken.

"Even if I come from another planet and even if you're my 'brother,' it has nothing to do with me!"

he declared.

"My only brother is Kahn. I'm from Earth. My name is Son Goku. I was raised here as Son Goku, not Kakarot!"

Due to his head injury as a child, Goku had long forgotten the Saiyan bloodthirsty nature, and now, he was simply a kind-hearted Earthling. Accepting that he was part of a race bent on destruction was impossible.

"Raditz,"

Kahn said coldly, stepping forward to face him.

"if you keep lying to Goku, I won't go easy on you. You say Kakarot and I came here to destroy humanity? Then tell me—do you even know how Planet Vegeta was destroyed?"

Raditz scoffed, answering without hesitation.

"Planet Vegeta was destroyed by a meteor impact. All Saiyans, including our parents, became stardust that day."

There was no hint of sadness on his face as he said this.

At this point, Vados could barely hold back. The so-called meteor impact was a lie—Planet Vegeta had been destroyed by Frieza, along with nearly the entire Saiyan race! Yet the surviving Saiyans thought it was a meteor? It was heartbreaking.

Vados gripped Kahn's arm, wanting to reveal the truth but holding back.

Kahn gently held her hand, signaling her to stay calm. He sneered at Raditz, saying.

"Oh, my foolish older brother. Do you really believe that a meteor destroyed our planet and our race? If you think that, you're incredibly naive."

"What are you saying?" Raditz's brow furrowed.

Kahn's face grew serious.

"The so-called 'meteor impact' is just a lie Frieza fed you and Vegeta. The truth is, Frieza destroyed Planet Vegeta and wiped out the Saiyan race—including our parents!"

Kahn's words stunned everyone around him.

Relieved, Vados finally relaxed. She had worried that Kahn was also in the dark, but it seemed he knew the truth.

"What?! That's impossible!"

Raditz staggered back, his eyes wide with shock. The destruction of Planet Vegeta wasn't caused by a meteor but by Frieza?

Kahn gave a cold laugh.

"And another thing: Kakarot and I weren't sent to Earth to kill everyone here. We were sent here to hide."

He continued.

"The night before Frieza was going to destroy Planet Vegeta, our father sensed Frieza's intentions. So he sent me and Kakarot to Earth as refugees."

Recalling that night over twenty years ago, Kahn's face grew somber.

"He told us that if his intuition was wrong, he'd come to get us. But twenty years have passed, and Kakarot and I are still here, waiting for him to come back… but he never did."

Kahn clenched his fists, his hands trembling slightly. Vados noticed his distress and asked,

"Honey, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Kahn replied, struggling to suppress the anger within. He vowed to confront Frieza himself, to honor the memory of his parents, Bardock and Gine.

As Kahn finished, Bulma and the others were left in an uproar.

So, that was the real reason Kahn and Goku were sent to Earth. It wasn't to destroy humankind, as Raditz had claimed, but as a desperate act to save them from Frieza.

Although Bulma wasn't in Kahn's position, she could understand his emotions. If Bardock hadn't sent Kahn and Goku to Earth in time, they wouldn't be here now. To protect his two sons, Bardock sacrificed his life to Frieza.
