Chapter 14: Incomprehensible Youth
Wiping the sweat off her brow Gu Yuena looked back at Tang Wulin who stood motionless like a statue, still half naked as he waited for her patiently without a single sign of dissatisfaction, or anything really.
He was just as she had heard, an emotionless robot singlemindedly moving toward one goal without any regard for his surroundings. She had seen him from a distance many times but only now did she understand how correct yet wrong that description was.
'He was smiling.' Gu Yuena thought to herself, her purple eyes focused on the crimson haired boy in front of her. It was small and it seemed like even he didn't notice it but he was smiling as they fought.
He wasn't a robot, he was like a child. A child who was trying to figure out what emotions were. It was odd considering he was a mature person yet had the emotional understanding of a newborn.
'That's why he's alive.' Gu Yuena thought to herself as she walked over to him. The Golden Dragon King was a monster of madness, a being of pure chaos, to house such a being without going insane the only possible reason was his emotional immaturity.
It was a blessing and a curse at the same time. At the same time, it protects him from her. Not that he needed more protection but the point still stands. From the prior fight, it seemed that the two of them were equal but that wasn't true at all.
There was an innate difference in how they became mortals. He was born a mortal who somehow receive the core of a god, and she was a god who became a mortal. The difference may sound small, but it made a world of difference.
He had all the blood essence of the Golden Dragon King available to him while she would have to gradually unlock it as her body increased. Of course, there were pros and cons to each such as her other half having to die in order to transfer his core however it changed nothing at the current time. He was stronger than her.
'How much can his body take?' Gu Yuena wondered, her spiritual power washing over his body. Instantly she recalled her energy, a terrifying premonition attacking her very spiritual sea. If she were to examine too deeply her mind may be destroyed, at least partially.
Perhaps she would be able to combat it with her element of creation however it would be risky and would result in damage no matter what she did due to the conflicting elements. Instead, she would simply give up on examining his blood essence.
It was a shame as it meant that she wouldn't be able to estimate how much his mortal body could handle at the moment without damage. There is no doubt in her mind that he could theoretically use the power of the Golden Dragon King at his peak however that would come with a cost.
The universal order keeps tabs on people like them, gods who weren't affiliated with a divine realm especially ones at their level. To counter this she truly and fully became a mortal however the same couldn't be said for him.
He was fully the Golden Dragon King, if he were to use too much power the universal order would begin to pressure him. While his body may be strong, his soul and spiritual powers could not resist such a thing.
The new Golden Dragon King could theoretically use his full power however it would have to be for an extraordinarily short period of time due to his lacking energies. Of course, in that timeframe, he was invincible in the universe.
"I'm finished so let's go." Gu Yuena spoke to her other half who nodded robotically and walked beside her. 'Of course, he would have to rest for quite some time afterward.' She thought to herself.
The universal wasn't kind but it wasn't cruel either. Depending on how much he did, he would be punished accordingly. If it was something simple such as destroying a mountain then perhaps he would be out of commission for… a week to a month?
On the other hand, if he were to do something as crazy as creating a divine realm without the energy to resist its retaliation, well perhaps the Golden Dragon King wouldn't be able to move for the next century.
Of course, that was all at the current moment. As her other half grew stronger in energy reserves and body it would become easier to resist the retaliation. Eventually, it would be barely a nuisance just like in the past.
'Well, to do that he'd have to become a god once more.' Gu Yuena thought blandly while ignoring the stares for her rabble schoolmates. She was an arrogant being by nature so she didn't appreciate the looks of lust however she was benevolent enough to not act on her pride.
Luckily the Golden Dragon King had taken most of the arrogance in their split or else this school might not exist with how blatant the looks of lust were. There were even some children looking at her and snickering, her hearing picking up all the heinous things they wanted to do to her.
'It seems like even children are insufferable.' Gu Yuena noted however all of that stopped as soon as Tang Wulin entered the room from behind her, the gazes of lust, the snickers, the disgusting plans, all of it stopped as soon as her other half entered the room.
Each and every student in the cafeteria and even the staff looked at him with overwhelming fear, few even daring to look at him, and those that did look at him held pure fear in their eyes as they shook in place.
Smirking slightly in amusement Gu Yuena made her way over to the A class dishes. They were fairly expensive but she had quite a few backers behind her, she didn't struggle to make money in the slightest.
Behind her, the inheritor of her other half walked off into the corner and pulled a stack of processed foods out of his storage tool. A quick scan using her spiritual power told that it was extremely nutrient rich, more than even the A class meals, but there was an obvious flaw.
While they were extremely good food in terms of nutrients and price they were disgusting. The only use they had was when a cultivator went into seclusion and didn't have access to actual food.
'Maybe he is a robot.' Gu Yuena thought, disgust staining her beautiful face.
