Chapter 15: Russo-Japanese War part 6
BOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!
The Explosion evaporated the comand tent and its occupants as the bombs detonated simultaneously and destroyed everything around it.
BOOOOOOMMM BOOOMM BOOOMM BOOOM BOOOOOMMMM!!!!!
While the comand exploded, the same happened with the munitions that Sergey and his squad rigged for detonation. A entire block of buildings collapsed as the soldiers went in disarray and chaos erupted.
With the leadership gone the soldiers who are now without anyone to comand them started to abandon posts and retreat.
Kilometers further north where the fighting against the Russians happened they got the news of the demise of their leadership and started to turn back.
"Well I be dammed, they did it." Anastasia smirked as she heard the news. She's impressed that they not only got the high ranking officers but also got a munitions deposit to explode causing more chaos.
"But is seems our information about civilian presence was false. The Japanese had fake files, they knew we'd snoop around."
Anastasia frowned as she thought about the civilians. 'If the civilians are gone, then where are they?' 'I don't have a good feeling about this'
"Alright, they are in no fighting condition, order the troops to start the aggressive push."
The officers who listened to her nodded without saying a word and left the Princess alone in her tent.
"I need to find out what happened to the civilians, just a day ago our spys confirmed the city to be full of them." Anastasia spoke aloud as no one was in the room. She doesn't doubt the spys as they are loyal to her and her only. What she's worried about is the sudden disappearance of an entire city's worth a people.
As she's thinking about the sudden disappearance of the civilians the Russian Army started their aggressive push on the Japanese lines.
RATATATATATA BBOOOMMMMM BOOOOMMM RATATATATAT RATATAT BANG BANG FUUUUSHHHHHHBOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!
Artillery fire and gunfire rang out in the night as the few remaining Japanese who stayed fell due to the onslaught of overwhelming fire.
As the Army approached the city they saw the chaos that occurred as the city is in ruins.
The Explosions caused fires to break out and the Japanese in their state of chaos couldn't extinguish it. What the Russians saw was a burning city. The entire city is engulfed in crimson flames that burned everything.
"They overachieved this one."
"You're right."
One officer spoke as another one affirmed his statement.

As Sergey and his men existed the sewers they saw the flames they caused and gasped in shock.
"We did that?!" Igor screamed out in utter disbelief. "I can't believe it either." Misha said as he looked at the flames as if he's looking at his soul mate. "Get your grip men we need to go now, the flames might spread to our position." It was Sergey that snapped them out as they made their way through the rough wilderness they previously came through.
As they neared the exit of the trees they heard someone shout.
"Halt!" They quickly moved to cover as the same voice shouted again.
"Sergeant Sergey and his men?!"
"Yes, who's this!" Sergey shouted back as he peeked behind the tree.
"We're glad to see you, come the General wishes to speak to you!"
General? Her Highness?!
Sergey and his men quickly moved out of their cover and saw another squad of Russian men who escorted them back to the new camp.
After a long walk they arrived and once they entered the tent they saw Anastasia and the other officers waiting.
"Welcome back men, I'm proud of what your accomplished. What you did there was a great deed. We might not have the city itself but we got everything else." Anastasia walked up to them and spoke up.
The men straightened their backs and saluted. Anastasia saluted back and continued. "You did a number on that city good thing the civilians where not present as we just got confirmation."
"About that your Highness." Anastasia stopped and glanced at Sergey.
"I mean Sir, well I took some papers from the Japanese comand as I was planting the bombs." Sergey handed over the bag full of papers as Anastasia read through them and smirked. "Well well well what do we have here."
"What is it Sir?" The second in comand spoke up in inquiry.
"The Papers gave us the reason to the civilian disappearance."
Anastasia looked at the officers who are waiting in suspense.
"And what does it say?" questioned another officer.
"It says.....
