Chapter 396: Conversation with the past.
Luciel felt like she was being left behind since she didn't know anything about her past. Everyone seemed to know each other and how close they were to each other. Not to mention, Beldathiel who was the closest to her suddenly didn't even bat an eye on her and focused on everyone else.
"Are you going to just stand there quietly like an outcast?" Aurea raised her eyebrows and looked at Luciel with a smirk on her face.
Luciel scoffed when she heard Aurea's words because Aurea was still the same as the one that she knew. She then looked at her sisters, and they were all looking at her just like they used to be. Nothing seemed to change, but she still felt like she was being left behind.
"You're the only one left who hasn't embraced your past, but it's up to you whether you want it or not. I won't force you," Amaryllis walked toward Luciel after she thoroughly checked on everyone's condition.
Although Luciel had seen everything with her own eyes, she still had a little doubt and suspicion about everything. She didn't want to have someone else's memories even if it was her past life because it would affect her, and wondered who would survive and take control over the body.
"It's okay. You still have a choice while we have none of that but to accept it," Beldathiel tilted her head as she looked at Luciel's face from behind. "But we don't hate it, in fact, nothing feels odd or weird about it because these memories are mine," she continued.
Luciel turned around and saw Beldathiel smiling at her with her other sisters behind Beldathiel. She then thought about it really hard until she decided to not take those memories yet. She explained her worries and her reasons were accepted by Amaryllis and she was glad because it wasn't just Amaryllis, but everyone else understood her.
"Jeanne, Aurea, Lilly, Nagy, Edith," Amaryllis looked at the five of them. "Rozan, Gunnar, Sven, Vincze," she looked at those four. "We need your help," she pointed out with a worried expression.
They didn't need to ask why, instead, they nodded with understanding even though they didn't know anything. Amaryllis then explained the whole situation by putting her memories into each one of them to make it easier for them to understand.
"So it's not over..." Jeanne crossed her arms and she looked anxious after she knew what happened after they got devoured by the abyss.
"He played along with Aevia's scheme, playing dumb to avoid her suspicion. That's why he managed to get this far and Elena knew what he was planning and played along by pretending that she gave up on him," Bhatmelec pointed out and she found it fascinating.
"Yeah, but Mykel struggled to fight the Lord. This time he's fighting someone that's the real omnipotent being," Aurea responded as she looked at Bhatmelec. "But it's Mykel we are talking about. The only reason why she hasn't killed him or disposed of him is because he's too valuable for her," she added.
"But what makes him so valuable? She has the power to create an obedient version of him, and yet she wants him more than anything?" Rozan raised his eyebrows and looked at the others, hoping anyone could answer that question.
"I know where we can find the answer," Sasha pointed out. "But before you guys decide, why don't you guys come with us and hear this first?" She asked.
Everyone wondered what Sasha meant, and then Amaryllis pointed out about the Archive. After knowing where they were, they decided to go and check what Sasha meant by that.
They all left and went back to the whirlpool of their original world so they could see what was happening. Sasha was the one who controlled the memories while the others were watching her from the sides. When they heard what Amaryllis and Sasha heard, they were confused because they didn't know much about Aevia.
Jeanne and the others stared at Aevia from up close and listened to Aevia's words about the warning and the offering. The fact that Aevia knew about their existence way before their world was created, it was unnerving. But since they were all in this together, they could keep their composure and think about what they should do.
"You're asking us whether to stay still or keep moving forward? The answer is obvious, isn't it? If Mykel entrusted us with a task, no matter what kind of risk that could happen, he already knew about that and had something to deal with it," Jeanne looked at Sasha and Amaryllis. "We have been with him for hundreds of years, he knows what he's doing, and we just do what we have to do on our end," she explained.
Aurea rested her elbow on Jeanne's shoulder and rested her other hand on her waist. Rozan and the others were checking their bodies for one last time as if they were prepared for all kinds of challenges.
"Are you guys good to go?" Aurea asked without looking back at the others as she kept staring at Sasha.
"The boss is waiting, we shouldn't keep him waiting for more," Gunnar answered.
The others either hummed or nodded their heads as they looked at Sasha and Amaryllis. They were prepared for the worst, and their eyes filled with determination to save Mykel and Elena.
"Now you got your answer. What are you going to do now, Amy? Are you prepared to take the responsibility with us?" Jeanne asked with her eyebrows raised.
Seeing Jeanne and the others in front of Amaryllis made her feel at ease and the fear that had been pushing her down suddenly disappeared. She missed how precious and amazing these people were, the people that Mykel turned into the most vicious beings.
"I'm ready," Amaryllis nodded with a big smile on her face.
Sasha and Luciel were taken aback and they both felt like they didn't belong there with them. But since they were in it together, they didn't have a choice but to be a part of it and act like the others had acted.
"Sasha? It's your call," Jeanne smiled as she looked at Sasha.
Sasha closed her eyes and took a deep breath, and then she held the pocket watch and moved the needles. They skipped all the way until the Lord decided to imprison the abyss for eternity and it took eons until the abyss devoured the divine power that imprisoned it.
The Lord who knew it was impossible to defeat the abyss after neglecting it for eons decided to let it happen. He watched the universe get devoured by the abyss in a matter of hours, and he decided to leave and create another universe with the angels.
During the time the Lord recreated the universe, every power that he used had a consequence, and that was the fact the abyss could follow him wherever he went. At that moment, he realized he was being hunted by the abyss, and he couldn't escape it if he kept moving from one universe to another. That was when he decided to split himself into many, sending them all to different universes so the abyss couldn't follow him.
Everyone was watching the story unfold except for Jeanne and the main team since they were focused on Aevia. They wondered what she was doing the whole time and thought if she interfered with the world she had created. But suddenly, Aevia stopped the time by putting her hand on the needles and preventing them from moving.
"So you have decided to ignore my warning," Aevia said, but she didn't look at Amaryllis or Sasha because her eyes were fixed on something in the distance. "Not only that, you brought everyone back with you. So far, everything is going as I have expected," she added and then glanced at Amaryllis with a smile on her face.
Rozan pointed his staff at Aevia to test if it was really just a memory or if Aevia was playing with them. When he shot a fireball, his magic dispersed before it could reach Aevia, and then he heard a giggle from Aevia's mouth.

"I bet Rozan was trying to hit me with a fireball by now, thinking if I'm real or just a memory," Aevia said and kept giggling. "Of course, the answer is that I'm just a memory from the past. Is it really that hard to understand that I'm the author of this story and I already knew the ending and every detail of the story even though I haven't written the story?" She raised her eyebrows as she looked at them.
"I will give you a second warning now, and it's up to you whether you will listen to my warning or not, but if you don't, there's no turning back. All of you here will witness what anyone shouldn't see, and the moment you see it, it's already too late," Aeavia said with a serious expression.
Everyone was glaring at Aevia and wished that they could fight her at that moment.
"I hate this woman," Lillith said.
