Chapter 397: Unrevealing (1).
They ignored the warning and continued to observe the memory since they needed to find something that could help either Mykel or Elena. Amaryllis had collected at least thirty percent of the total worlds that existed in the Archive. The more information she got, the more she understood about Mykel and his power, and that was a good thing.
"Where's Shelly?" Nagy looked around after she noticed that Shelly wasn't with them anymore.
"Master said that she wanted to keep an eye on the first world. She wanted to know what happened after the Lord left that world behind. She said that she wanted to understand the extent of the abyss' existence," Rozan answered as he kept watching the Lord and how the Lord used magic.
Beldathiel looked at Luciel and noticed that Luciel was oddly quiet. She then wrapped her arms around Luciel's neck from behind and rested her head on the back of Luciel's head.
"There's something that I want you to see..." Beldathiel said quietly. "But it's still a while, so I'm just going to remind you," she added.
Luciel didn't say anything, but she held Beldathiel's arms and kept them tight around her neck.
They watched how the abyss managed to find the wormhole, the remaining trail of the Lord after he moved to another universe. Shelly came back after she found out how odd the abyss was and how it had a mind of its own.
"How far do you understand the abyss, Amy?" Shelly asked after she found something valuable about the abyss. "I have a feeling that the abyss isn't just as simple as I think, and even if I believe it's a complicated being, it could be a hundred times even more complicated than what I believe," she added as she watched the abyss in the new universe hide its presence from the Lord.
"Yes, unlike the Lord of any beings that she has created, the abyss was made differently. She used her mind and hands to create them while she was using the clock for everything else. The abyss was created and crafted from her own hands, and if I can assume, the abyss is a part of her, maybe her desire," Amaryllis answered and explained to everyone.
"An omnipotent being has a desire? For what and why does she have a desire when she can have anything she wants?" Rozan raised his eyebrows. "Maybe because she's lonely and wants someone that befit to be by her side?" He added.
Everyone has the same thoughts as Rozan, and it would be the most reasonable answer at that moment. Although it was important to find the answer, it could wait and they wanted to be focused on helping Mykel.
After they watched the long journey of the Lord, they finally witnessed the beginning of the Lord that resided in their original world. It was as Mykel explained about the Lord's origin that he wasn't sending his clone to another universe but to put a seed of himself to avoid being tracked by the abyss.
"Now we will see the truth about Mykel's existence and how he ended up becoming a human," Aurea said as she crossed her arms and watched the egg that looked like the biggest planet that she had ever seen.
The egg was vibrating so quickly that the vibration couldn't be seen at all, only the gravitational force could be felt. The egg exploded and it looked like a big bang with the Lord's energy that created stars from the small debris of the egg. It was fascinating to watch, but Amaryllis and Sasha had seen the most beautiful creation, and it was Elena who did it.
"So our world is created from the Lord's fart? No wonder almost everything in the universe is made out of gas, he had been holding it for years," Rozan pointed out as he giggled at his own joke.
Nobody was laughing at Rozan's joke and they were staring at him in disbelief because he still had time to joke around. But, they heard a snicker from behind, and then they saw Luciel holding her laughter. They never thought, Luciel who had no sense of humor could be reacting to Rozan's weird joke.
"Lucy, why?" Beldathiel frowned as she looked at Luciel. "That cheap joke is enough to make you laugh?" She looked disappointed but she was also smiling because she found it cute.
Luciel shook her head as she cleared her throat and tried to not laugh because of the pressure around her. She never thought she would be looked at like that, and she didn't hate it because she wasn't being stared down, it was the stares of worries from them. It felt nice, and it was enough to make her feel like she belonged with them.
"Something isn't right," Amaryllis furrowed her eyebrows after she looked at the universe thoroughly. "This universe isn't ours because there are some planets that don't exist in our space," she pointed out. Continue reading stories on My Virtual Library Empire
Nobody knew what Amaryllis knew because they never bothered to count the countless planets in space. They did believe her if she said that something was different, but they didn't think the world they were watching was not their world.
"She's right. If this is the very beginning of the cycle, this world might be where the first Mykel appeared," Bhatmelec pointed out as she crossed her arms. "Remember, we created a paradox when we were going to fight the Lord. This world is where it all started," she added.
Amaryllis was stunned when she heard Bhatmelec's explanation and she looked terrified. She couldn't stop trembling and then collapsed because she was afraid of the possibility of the terrifying thoughts in her head.
"Amy? Are you okay?" Jeanne went on her knees as she held Amaryllis' trembling hands. She could see how pale Amaryllis' face was and how she looked like she was extremely terrified by something. "What did you find?" She asked since she knew that Amaryllis might have found out about the situation.
Amaryllis didn't say a word because she found out about the true nature of the abyss from the previous worlds. She took too much information that she couldn't digest them at all, something that had never happened to her.
"Amy, should we continue to do this?" Sasha asked since it was the most important question.
Amaryllis slowly averted her gaze and looked at Sasha, but she couldn't move her head or open her mouth. She then took a deep breath with her eyes closed, and it was enough for them to understand that she needed time.
After Amaryllis got a hold of herself, she stood up with Jeanne's help, and then she looked at the vast universe. She didn't care about what was happening in that memory and then went to where Aevia was. Seeing she left hurriedly, the others got curious and followed her until they realized where she was going.
Amaryllis didn't hesitate to fly toward Aevia, and then she noticed that Aevia was holding a lump of darkness. She then landed quite far from Aevia to prepare her mind and heart before she planned to confront Aevia.
"She's just sitting there in the middle of this place while holding that the abyss. Something is off," Aurea squinted her eyes.
"She's waiting for us, that's why she's acting like that..." Jeanne pointed out and felt anxious about the whole situation.
Aevia crossed her legs the moment Amaryllis was close enough to her and then she stared into Amaryllis' eyes.
"I warned you, and now you came to confirm if it's true because you knew deep down it's already a lost cause, isn't that right?" Aevia smiled as she chuckled. "Well, I don't really need to give you an answer, don't I? You already knew it would be the case and the only explanation why we can interact like this," she stood up and then snapped her fingers.
The Lord appeared right behind Aevia, but he was in a blank state like a lifeless puppet. Aevia lifted her left hand, showing the lump of darkness in her hand to him, and then he took it from her hand.
"Keep it alive, protect it, watch it grow, fulfill his wish, and finally let it devour you and your other self," Aevia said without looking back at the Lord. "You will be a stepping stone for Mykel Alester, the one that will stay by my side," she added with a huge smile as she stared at Amaryllis and the others.
Everyone was shocked, but they wanted to know about what Amaryllis and Avia were talking about. They were missing the most important part of the confrontation and why Aevia looked so confident about the whole situation.
"Amy, can you at least tell us what the hell is going on right now?" Aurea asked since she was annoyed that Amaryllis still hadn't explained anything to them.
"It's hard to explain, but we are currently living in the past," Amaryllis answered as she looked at everyone.
