Destroying My Own World

Chapter 394: Over and over.

After being sucked into the whirlpool, Amaryllis was brought to memory space. She was like watching a movie, but she was in the movie as well so she could move around and see anything she wanted. She believed that she entered the first-ever world that was created by Aevia and it was nothing like Mykel's world.

There were barely any planets and the universe was so small that anyone that lived there could see other planets from the sky because it was so packed. Although it looked like a mess, it was beautiful in its own way, and Aevia was present there, watching the universe evolve around her.

Amaryllis was afraid that Aevia could notice her presence and would kill her, but Aevia didn't notice she was there. That gave her a bit of relief, but she didn't let her guard down since anything could happen and she had zero information about the Archive and the memories in it.

She decided to go to the planet where humans lived, and everything looked normal and nothing out of the ordinary. After she had enough of observing the world, she found out how to operate the memories by manipulating the clock that was hidden in each whirlpool.

From the first thousand whirlpools, everything looked normal and there were no higher beings like Gods or The Lord. But they all had the same result which was extinction, and the reason was human beings killing each other. It was either from greed or from distrust, putting them in a state of madness.

On the thousand and first world, Aevia started to experiment to create a being that created the universe, The Lord. She wondered what kind of world it would become when there was a being that controlled all the lives in that world. She believed it would make a change since this time there was a being that could prevent humans from going into madness.

Amaryllis could understand Aevia's curiosity since she would do the same sooner or later if she were in Aevia's position. She thought the world would give a better result which seemed like it until The Lord decided to do something more than what Aevia thought The Lord would do.

The Lord tried to create a different world with the power within his body and Aevia didn't like that at all. The Lord believed that he was omnipotent and could do whatever he wanted to do, neglecting his sole purpose as an observer and a ruler.

At that moment, Aevia decided to interfere and used her power to destroy the world that she thought it was a perfect one. She then created a being in the next world, a being that would devour anything that The Lord tried to make with his power. She made that being hidden under The Lord's skin, unable to be detected by him, and lived under his power's influence.

"So that was when you created him," Amaryllis looked at the university below her and saw the void that The Lord believed it was just a harmless emptiness. "I wonder what is going to happen to the world with him around," she looked at the void in the far back of The Lord's kingdom.

The world was moving in the exact flow of the previous one, but this time The Lord felt like something was lurking under his skin. He didn't know what it was, but he did know that the abyss behind him grew larger every time he looked away from it. He then noticed the abyss itself was alive, and he knew the source of his uneasiness was coming from there.

Amaryllis witnessed the beginning of the story between The Lord and the Abyss. She watched when The Lord sent the angels to observe the abyss, and none of them came back because they were devoured by it. Not long after that, The Lord used his might to get rid of it, but he made a huge mistake since the Abyss devoured his power and turned it into its own power.

She watched the angels and the Lord unable to push the abyss back instead, it grew larger and became aggressive. At that point, the Lord realized what it was and knew that he couldn't defeat that thing after he fed a mouthful of omnipotent power. He decided to fight it since there was nothing he could do about it, and so that was the end of that world, devoured by the abyss.

Aevia who watched her own creation devour a whole universe was intrigued by it. She never thought what she created could easily overpower the Lord which who she thought would be the most powerful being she ever created. She then decided to keep watching the abyss after it devoured the whole universe.

Amaryllis thought she knew how the story went based on the Lord's story, but it didn't happen right away. She watched the similar outcomes of the worlds she created over and over until Aevia decided to give them freedom. A world where she didn't interfere at all, a world with no bounds and no limit where anything could happen.

Aevia was excited about the result because she had never felt so thrilled to see the future unfold. She already knew the result of the world before it even started, but the journey was what she loved to watch. It was like playing pinball where she could see where the ball was going, and no matter how long it would take, the ball would end up in the hole.

Amaryllis knew that the memories she was watching at that moment weren't the world where Mykel was in. But she was glad that she entered the whirlpool because she gained a lot of information related to Mykel's origin. She knew what kind of power the abyss was and how to turn that insatiable hunger for power into something that could devour even Aevia herself. The problem was that she needed more information before she could be guaranteed that it would be possible.

After Aevia gave total freedom to her creation, things became a lot worse than before. The abyss didn't hesitate to devour all the Lord's creations before any civilization could begin. The fact that the abyss acted like a living being made it the most terrifying thing that Aevia had created. The more it was created, the more powerful it became and how it acted differently in different worlds as if it had its own consciousness and grew more intelligent.

"What did you put on it, Aevia? Why is it so different from the other things you have created?" Amaryllis said to herself.

"(Amy! I found our world!)" Sasha informed Amaryllis telepathically.

Amaryllis hadn't done much learning about the true nature of the secret behind the abyss' power. She had no choice but to let her clones deal with the remaining whirlpools and then she went straight to where Sasha was. Continue reading stories on My Virtual Library Empire

"Are you sure this is our world?" Amaryllis asked and looked at how different the universe was from the world she was in. "This place is nothing like ours, and there are too many stars here," she pointed out.

"This is the first time you're being reckless, Amy," Sasha looked at Amaryllis with her eyebrows furrowed. "Remember that our world wasn't the first world that she created after she repeatedly made a new one. Our world was the result of the Lord escaping from Mykel's grasp. He created multiverses to avoid him, and this world right here is the beginning of our chapter, or perhaps should I call it a prologue," she explained and looked down at the stars.

Amaryllis was so focused on finding out about the abyss' origin and power that she forgot about the universe before them. If it wasn't for Sasha, she wouldn't have been able to find it that quickly and would ruin the plan they had.

"Watch," Sasha pointed at Aevia who stood in the middle of emptiness. "The story is about to begin," she looked anxious as she rewound the time to the very beginning.

Aevia had to restart everything again and this time she put a lot of restrictions on the abyss ability. She put a lot of power into a lump of void in her hand, and then she let the lump loose as she started the clock where it had been set to bring the Lord to life.

"So this is how Mykel was created..." Amaryllis watched as the lump of void was hiding behind the Lord's back.

"You're wrong, this is just the first version of him. Just watch because I don't think my mind can comprehend the truth because I'm too scared to look at what happened after the prologue," Sasha looked at Amaryllis and she looked terrified.

Amaryllis wondered what Sasha had seen, and why she didn't dare to look past the so-called prologue of the story. She looked at the lump of void and made sure she paid attention to every detail and wouldn't blink her eyes even for a split second.
