Chapter 392: According to plan.
Luciel and Sasha stared at the clock and it was unnerving to look at it from up close. Every tick of the needle was like an extreme fear crawling on their backs and making their hearts stop for a moment. It felt like the whole existence was based on that object in front of them and nothing could be compared to it.
"If we destroy this thing, do you think what will happen to us?" Luciel was hypnotized by the clock and how massive it was.
"I think we will be frozen in time forever since time will not exist anymore," Sasha speculated and she also got hypnotized by the clock and how there were so many needles and unknown symbols on it. "It's not the time to think about this. We need to follow this stream to the Archive," she snapped back to reality after she heard the sound of the stream.
Luciel nodded with understanding and then followed Sasha flying above the stream that came out of the back of the clock. She looked at how long the stream was and it seemed endless, but then she saw there was a massive hole where the stream was going to go.
"This doesn't look safe at all. Are you sure we will be okay if we go down there?" Luciel asked because she could sense something off about that hole. She felt like so many lives were trapped there.
"I don't care if it's safe or not. Mykel's life is in danger and I have gone to the deepest part of Hell just for him," Sasha answered and she didn't show any fear. "If I could do it again for him, I would do it all over again," she added and then dove into the hole without hesitation. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire
Luciel who heard that made her realize how cowardly she was for asking such a question. She remembered that her sisters sacrificed themselves just for her, and she felt ashamed of herself for having fear in her heart. She then dove into the hole and followed Sasha since she was promised that her sisters would be brought back to life.
They both were under the water, but they could breathe normally since the water wasn't really water. It was just energy in the form of water, and it wasn't cold or warm, it didn't even have any texture or temperature.
The deeper they went into the hold, the darker it became and the heavier the energy became. It became so dense that it made them hard to breathe and move, but it was still bearable.
When they were going with the flow of energy, they were stunned by what they saw. They could see whirlpools that looked like galaxies in the universe, countless whirlpools could be seen. They didn't know what those were, but they didn't dare to go over those whirlpools.
Luciel looked down and saw some kind of linear pathway or more like a bridge in the middle of the sea. She notified Sasha and then they both went there and landed on the bridge surrounded by whirlpools. At that moment they knew, they were in the Archive, and those whirlpools were the records of the previous worlds that were created before the current one.
"You have found the Archive," Amaryllis answered as she appeared beside Sasha and looked at the whirlpools. "We don't have much time, so let's hurry and find our world first," she continued.
"You said you can bring back my sisters, but how are you going to do that? Didn't Mykel give their life essences to Aevia?" Luciel asked and she wanted to make sure she wasn't being used.
"It's easy. The current world has a record as well, the record of the past. Although they're basically nothing but memories, I can turn those memories and create bodies for those memories," Amaryllis answered as she assured Luciel that she wouldn't go back on her promise. "It might be a copy of their existence, but they're still your sisters. That's as far as I can do for you, at least at the moment," she looked at Luciel.
"Then I will believe you. I will find the record of my world so you can immediately bring them here," Luciel nodded with understanding and then flew away to find the newly formed whirlpool by following the flow of the energy.
Sasha, Amaryllis, and Amaryllis' clones were going their separate ways to find Mykel's original world. It would take forever, but Amaryllis' clones were countless which would make it easy to find it.
During their time looking for it, Sasha stopped to observe the whirlpools around her. She looked troubled because she had some terrifying thoughts that bothered her deeply.
"What's the matter, Sasha?" Amaryllis asked.
"Do you remember what Aevia said when we all entered the whirlpool and brought to her place? She said something about Mykel's existence where he was the perfect one from his predecessor. What if each of these worlds has an existence like Mykel?" Sasha asked back as she looked at Amaryllis. "I don't know why I'm thinking about that even though it's unnecessary thought, but I can't help but think about it," she said.
Amaryllis found something valuable in Sasha's words and her face lit up immediately. She realized she would be able to use all those records for their gain and would turn the table even with an extra one percent.
"Sasha! You're a genius! You don't have to bother about that and keep searching for your world!" Amaryllis said in excitement and then left to go into the nearest whirlpool.
Sasha was wondering why Amaryllis looked so excited and not to mention some of her clones had entered the whirlpools. She then decided to ignore it because she wasn't as smart as Amaryllis, and she believed Amaryllis would come back with good news.
At the same time, Elena and Aevia were still in a state where they both became one and tried to devour each other. It was no longer about abilities and strength, but it was about how much energy they could devour from each other.
Although they both looked like they were doing fine, deep down they were struggling to keep each other at bay. But something changed inside them, something that made them realize something was off and that their powers were decreasing. They both shared the same thoughts like how Mykel and Lucifer used to be, creating loops of thoughts that broke their minds.
Aevia noticed that the world of illusion that she made had been destroyed, and then the clock started to move. She didn't know the correlation between those two, but she knew they were somehow connected to each other and that wasn't a coincidence. She then found the answer to that question when she realized why she was losing a bit of her power.
"Everything is according to my plan, and you fell right into it," Elena said after she heard Aevia's thoughts. "This plan has so many flaws, but Mykel would know immediately what to do and would prevent the plan from failing," she looked into Aevia with a smirk.
Aevia couldn't do anything as she was stuck there with Elena, but that didn't worry her because she knew she would win against Elena. Even if she had half a second left to fix everything, that was more than enough since she could easily stop the time and rewind them.
"You still don't understand where you're standing on, aren't you? Do you even realize where we are?" Elena asked with her eyebrows raised.
Aevia knew exactly where she was, a place that had turned independent, a reality where it didn't belong to her. The whole universe belonged to Elena and she couldn't use her power in a reality that wasn't hers. She managed to overpower Elena, but that was all she could do, and she would need to take over reality before she could leave.
"And to do that, you have to kill me. But, I'm not going to die easily," Elena finished the thought in Aevia's head. "On the other hand, we all will try and dig if there's any weakness that you have. Even if it's just a tiny bit, that would be enough for us," she pointed out.
"Mykel helped them to find the clock, but that's only brought them to their own demise," Aevia raised her eyebrows and seemed unfazed.
"We know that much, but that isn't something we are after. The place you brought Mykel is the one we are looking for, the Archive place. All kinds of valuable information are gathered in there, and maybe in some of them there would be-" Before Elena could finish her sentence, Aevia grabbed her face and tried to crush her face.
"I'm tired of listening to your bragging," Aevia slowly lifted Elena as her hand crushed Elena's face. "You're acting as if you can hold me down here," she kept pressing her hand on Elena's face.
Elena didn't show a single act of resisting, and then she smirked as she looked down at Aevia as her face was being crushed. The way she smiled at Aevia made Aevia look into Elena's thoughts and what she found was enough to make her enraged.
"I told you, you won't be able to kill me that easily," Elena chuckled and then broke Aveia's wrist as she freed herself from Aevia's grasp. "Because I'm not the only one who's going to fight you," she looked behind Aevia and saw Mykel standing and staring at Aevia.
