Chapter 390: Clashing.
Elena landed on the field with tall grasses, panting as she held her chest with her left hand. She collapsed and tried so hard not to faint and went all four to catch a breath, but then she heard a rustling sound behind her.
"You're a lot stronger than Mykel now, but that won't be enough to defeat me," Aevia looked at Elena with a cold expression. "It would be a waste to let you die, so I'm going to give you a choice," she suggested as she looked at her hands covered in bruises.
"Sparing Mykel's life in exchange for becoming your puppet? Don't make me laugh. Your way of thinking is so linear, so easy to read," she responded as she chuckled.
Aevia still couldn't get anything from her, and she couldn't find the answer to Elena's sudden changes. She knew that Elena possessed her power, a tiny bit of it, but that wouldn't be enough to make Elena's existence unknown. She believed something had happened without her knowing, and she needed to know the answer before she erased Elena's existence.
"How does it feel like to know nothing and can't figure things out? Everything that used to be under your observation is now nothing but uncertainty," Elena slowly stood up after she recovered. "It was like Mykel said. You might be omnipotent, the all-knowing one, but you have no experience in terms of uncertainty," she turned around to look at Aevia.
Aevia squinted her eyes and disappeared, and then reappeared again, but this time she was unscathed. She turned herself back in time to her prime again without any consequences for manipulating her own body.
"Good, you must have known from earlier that the fight isn't over," Elena smirked as she stared at Aevia with a sharp gaze. "This is only the beginning," she snapped her fingers and it echoed throughout the sky.
Aevia looked over her shoulder and noticed all the planets that existed in the universe had disintegrated. The field of tall grasses disintegrated as well, everything turned into a flow of energy, the purest energy.
"To see you possess something similar to mine, how terrifying," Aevia said after she observed that a drip of that energy would be enough to create millions of lives.
Since Aevia couldn't manipulate Elena's power and body, that also meant she couldn't stop the energy from flowing into Elena's body. She could only watch, and she was intrigued by it, wanting to fight Elena who was going to fight her with full power.
Elena's body was covered in her own life energy, dazzling like the brightest star that was enough to lighten up the everlasting universe that kept expanding. The universe that was already vast, after eons of waiting, it had expanded a hundred times, and yet her light reached as far as the universe.
"It's hard to distinguish between pretense and honesty, was it?" Elena's voice echoed throughout the universe. "Even for someone like you could be deceived by that," she added.
Aevia couldn't believe the method that Mykel used on those humans was used against her as well. She should have known when she observed him, and the answer to her uneasiness was right in front of her all along.
The blinding light shrunk in an instant, and that was when Aevia noticed what Elena had become. Elena's black long hair turned white like a light itself, her skin was so white it was impossible to see her lines. But, one thing that gave Aevia uneasiness was Elena's glowing yellow eyes where her gaze alone would kill any living being.
"I have changed my mind, you're not allowed to be alive," Aevia slowly pulled the cloth that covered her face and unwrapped the cloth off her body. "I don't need anyone like you in my world," she continued and did the same thing as Elena, making herself glow in a radiant light.
Both of them stared at each other and they both were equal in terms of power and existence. The moment they moved a muscle on their bodies, they clashed, overlapping each other's light infinitely. The brighter it became, the hotter the surroundings, and that was when something that neither of them knew happened.
As the light they produced collided, their bodies had become one, trying to devour each other. Whoever that unable to maintain the light would be devoured by the other, and during that time, they both were sharing the same amount of pain.
Mykel who was staying in the garden with everyone suddenly felt his heart was being squeezed really hard. He fell to his knees, making everyone worried because he groaned in pain, something that they had never heard before.
Amaryllis was the only one who dared to put her hands around Mykel's body and check what had happened. When she saw the black smoke sipping out of his body, she immediately created a barrier around them so nobody would get affected by it.
"Stay away from us! You don't want to get devoured by him," Amaryllis looked at the others and pointed her hand away from her and Mykel.
"What's happening to him? Is he going to be okay?" Elysande asked with a worried expression.
"I'll see what I can do," Amaryllis answered as she tried to find the problem within Mykel's body. "Just get away from here. I'm not going to let something bad happen to him," she assured.
"I'm fine..." Mykel clenched his fist as he ripped his shirt off his chest. "This is the same feeling that I felt when I lost control. It seems that Sasha has started moving and devouring Aevia's world with my power," he pointed out.
Amaryllis hummed since it happened at the same time as Sasha reporting that she had started devouring the world. But she never thought that Mykel would be the one who got affected by it and not Sasha. She was afraid that Mykel would lose control again and would make everything hard for them.
"Are you sure you're fine? I think it's not Sasha that makes you like this," Amaryllis looked at Mykel and tried to ease the pain by taking the overwhelming power within Mykel's body. "If that's really the case, Sasha should be affected by it as well, but she's not," she added.
"What are you talking about?" Mykel looked at Amaryllis and started to feel a bit at ease after Amaryllis helped him.
"You did share your power with Sasha, but you separated your power and the power that you gave her. It shouldn't affect you, and not to mention your power was removed from your body when you were bathed in that lake. This power isn't the same power that you possessed, it's similar but different," Amaryllis explained the situation. "Your bond with Elena is what makes you like this, and that means something is happening to her right now as we speak," she pointed out.
"I see, then doesn't that mean I can do the same?" Mykel looked at Amaryllis with his eyebrows raised.
"Yes, you can. But Elena took eons to understand that power, so don't try and push yourself because it might be too dangerous for you with your condition," Amaryllis nodded her head but she looked worried.
"I'm not going to do nothing when I know something is happening to Elena. I'm done pretending and I believe Aevia already knew by now about my pretentious acts," Mykel responded as he tried to make his condition a bit more stable. Experience tales with My Virtual Library Empire
Mykel tried to understand the power within him after he understood the situation about him and the bond he had with Elena. He closed his eyes and tried to see what was happening with the power within him and Elena.
When Mykel opened his eyes, he was back into that same void again, the void that had trapped him. When he took a step forward, the absolute darkness turned white, blinding him and instantly putting him down to his knees because of the pressure. The overflowing and overwhelming energy was trying to crush him down.
Amaryllis watched Mykel's body turn cold when the black mist that had been sipping out of his body had turned into misty white. At that moment she thought that it would be better if Mykel was covered in dark smoke rather than the white mist. She then carried him in her arms, but it was so cold and hot at the same time that she had to let out a loud scream to endure the pain.
Her scream of pain gave Elestria and the others chills down their spines because they could hear the pain from her scream. They were terrified by what was going on, but then suddenly they saw Amaryllis spread her translucent wings and stab them to the ground. They watched her create an even stronger barrier and it was golden white until it became a massive cocoon right in front of the Queen's palace.
(At Aevia's world)
Sasha and Luciel were looking for the place that Aevia told Luciel to go to. That place was the same place that Sasha was looking for, and that place was the Archive. When they were busy looking for that place and where the clock was, they saw Amaryllis appear behind them.
"Sasha..." Amaryllis paused to hold in the pain. "We don't have much time left. We need to find the Archive as soon as possible. Both Mykel and Elena are in danger," she pointed out.
"What do you mean Mykel is in danger?" Sasha furrowed her eyebrows with a confused look.
"Elena is using all her power, and that affects Mykel as well. He won't be able to survive until we find the Archive," Amaryllis answered as she grunted in pain. "It's earlier than we thought, so please find the Archive as fast as you can because I can't do this alone," she added.
Sasha nodded her head with understanding and then spread her angelic wings. The two of them flew as fast as they could while Amaryllis looked at them disappear into the distance and then collapsed since she couldn't use a little bit of her power to control her clone.
