Chapter 289: The Singularity.
Sasha and Elena stared at Mykel's yellow eyes for a second, and they both were terrified to keep looking at them. They never thought it would be that scary to stare him in the eyes even though they loved those bright yellow eyes of his. They knew something was wrong with Mykel and his presence which was so unnerving.
Mykel slowly stood up from his throne made of purple crystal, and the pressure was getting worse as he stood tall. They couldn't lift their heads anymore because of it, and no matter how strong Elena and Sasha were, they couldn't resist the pressure on the back of their heads.
The moment Mykel took a step down the stairs, the pressure became ten times worse than before. Another step he took it multiplied by another ten, and there were forty more steps before he could reach the bottom. It was so painful that they would get crushed and explode their heads if they didn't try to fight it off.
"Mykel... it hurts..." Elena groaned as she begged Mykel to stop crushing her with his pressure.
"You're not supposed to be down here in the first place, Elena," Mykel said as he kept going down the stairs. "I can't control the power anymore. That's the reason why I'm down here and let the remnant of the power take over my body," he pointed out.
The crystals around them suddenly trembled and slowly the voices of people screaming started sipping out from them. The endless screams of at least ten sextillion people could be heard around them. The screams were enough to inflict fear, pain, and desperation on whoever heard it.
Mykel glanced at the crystals around him and he wasn't even bothered by them, but for Elena, Sasha, and The Lord, it was the worst torture and nightmare they had ever experienced. They couldn't help but scream out of fear and pain after they realized those were the lives Mykel had devoured into his body. What terrified them was they could hear every individual scream of the people, and a few of them were the screams of their friends and allies, the people they knew.
"So much despair, so many curses," Mykel said calmly as he kept walking down the stairs. "The scream of people that want their existence to be erased rather than stuck here," he added.
Elena started sobbing because it was so painful because she felt all the pain of ten sextillion lives that ran through her veins. Her ears listened to their screams and curses, begging to be relieved from the pain while at the same time seeking revenge for what had happened to them. The screams of Jeanne and the others from her world and from the billions of realities, and the voices of herself from different realities.
Although the three of them couldn't lift their heads, they could feel the abyss that followed Mykel's footsteps from behind. That was when they realized the power that Mykel possessed and that the one they fought against was nothing but a remnant of it.
The moment Mykel stepped his foot at the bottom, that was when the screams started to intensify by hundreds of folds. The Lord's light that was so bright had disappeared and his existence was on the brink of extinction. He would barely keep himself alive if it wasn't for Elena's power that was inside his body.

"Shh..." Mykel glanced to his left and in an instant all the screams stopped from that side. He then did the same to his surroundings and all the screams stopped as if their mouths were shut and their necks choked to prevent them from screaming.
The silence was enough to make the three of them feel relieved even though it was a tiny bit of the weight on their heads that had been lifted.
"This is the true power of a singularity. A force that could make everyone succumb to it, unable to resist. A force that can reshape everything to its own will," The Lord said weakly as he tried to survive the pressure that was trying to crush his body.
As the true extent of Mykel's power became clear, Sasha, Elena, and The Lord found themselves facing a force beyond their comprehension, a force that threatened to rewrite the very fabric of existence itself. Something that The Lord himself was afraid of, a force that made him like a helpless baby.
Mykel just stood there staring at the three of them, and suddenly they could feel the ground moving toward him. They didn't know what had happened but they could see his shoes right in front of their eyes.
"I told you not to smoke, Elena," Mykel bent his knees and reached out of Elena's pocket to grab the pack of cigarettes. "Well, I can't really forbid you since you're allowed to do whatever you want," he continued and put a cigarette in his mouth.
Mykel smoked the cigarette as the three of them groaned in pain on their bellies. He didn't say anything and enjoyed the cigarette as he looked down at them. Mykel's actions were both surreal and inexplicable, leaving them bewildered and helpless.
After a moment of quiet contemplation, Mykel shifted his gaze to The Lord, whose feeble existence was hanging by a thread. With a mere blink, Mykel showed off his formidable power, banishing The Lord to an undisclosed place, ensuring that he could never be found or released.
"Elena, lift your head," Mykel said.
Elena struggled to comply because her body was wracked with pain. Despite her determination, her physical limitations prevented her from obeying Mykel's simple request. Her disappointment outweighed her fear as she desperately tried to meet Mykel's expectations.
Mykel observed Elena's struggle, the cigarette between his fingers emitting a steady stream of smoke. His yellow eyes bore into her with a mixture of curiosity and something almost resembling pity.
"You're a fighter, aren't you, Elena?" Mykel's voice of encouragement that could help Elena. He took another drag from the cigarette and puffed the smoke that seemed to hang in the air like a shroud.
Elena's determination was something that was something beyond anything else. She clenched her teeth, pushing herself beyond her physical limits, and with tremendous effort, she managed to raise her head ever so slightly. Her eyes filled with tears and determination until she met Mykel's intense gaze.
"That's it," Mykel encouraged in a soft tone with a gentle smile on his face. "Strength lies not just in power but in the will to endure," he continued.
Elena could see the sadness in his eyes and wondered if he was sad for seeing her in that state, or to let Elena see him in that state of his. She struggled to keep her head up, but she kept it as high as she could.
"Now stand up, Elena," Mykel said with the cigarette in between his fingers that almost burned his skin, hoping to extend an opportunity, a choice that held great significance for both of them.
Elena slowly and steadily pushed her body up as she kept staring into Mykel's eyes. For some unknown reason, she believed that she could do it even though her muscles were screaming at him, asking her to stop. It was the most pain she had ever felt, but she didn't care because she wanted to meet Mykel's expectations.
Mykel smiled at Elena and then he glanced at Sasha without saying a single word to her. The moment she looked back at Elena, her body had lifted from the ground and she started to bend her right knee to support her body. He then watched as Elena slowly got up, but that was when she reached the limit of her body.
Elena was about to collapse, but Mykel immediately grabbed her hand, preventing her from going back down. She could feel his strong grip, the hand that she had forgotten how manly his hand was, big and rough. She then screamed as she pulled herself up until she threw herself onto Mykel's body and held his suit with her head leaned on his chest.
Mykel embraced her and hugged her tightly like a proud father and it was quite touching, but nobody saw that moment. He didn't want to let go of her, and so did Elena as she glued herself to his chest and how she missed his body odor.
Elena took her time to feel Mykel's body, scent, and warmth as Sasha struggled to stay alive. When she was about to look at Sasha, Mykel put his left thumb on her chin, forcing her and yet gently to look at his eyes. She was flustered, but then suddenly Mykel kissed her, catching her off guard, it was a pleasant surprise as she started enjoying it as well.
"It's time for you to leave, Elena," Mykel said in between kisses.
Elena snapped back to reality, and before she could say anything, she was teleported outside Mykel's body. She was dumbfounded and she had no idea where she was, and Mykel's body got wrapped in the abyss and disappeared.
"No..." Elena mumbled as tears started falling to her chin again. "No!" she screamed her lungs out.
Mykel took a deep breath and then exhaled deeply after he sent Elena away. He then looked at Sasha as he walked toward her. He bent down and slowly and gently carried her in his arms, startling her. They both looked at each other for a moment and then Mykel took a step up the stairs to his throne as he carried her.
"You're not going to send me away?" Sasha asked.
"No. I need you here," Mykel answered, but before he could climb the stairs, the abyss blocked him.
"She's not welcome here," the abyss in the shape of a human said.
"What are you going to do? Stop me?" Mykel asked with a cold gaze at the abyss. "Move," he continued and then walked passed the abyss unharmed.
