Chapter 14: Chapter 14: Thoughts of Others and Thyself
Minerva McGonagall stared at her stack of paperwork with annoyance. Half of these were caused by the Weasley twins and Raven.
If she was honest, she found the pranks they did most amusing, when she wasn't affected by them in some manner.
Yet that brought up another thought, Raven Inanis. The teen had made remarkable progress since joining Hogwarts.
Becoming slightly more social. Helping others with their work. Learning as much as he could.
The teen was a somewhat well mannered teen. She wishes she could say he didn't pick fights, but he did. A lot.
Despite that, if she was honest about the insecurity it made her feel, she thought the boy like her own child, despite only having known the teen for not even a full year.
She felt a maternal instinct to care for him. To protect him. To guide him. It's why her office was always open to him. Helping him with advance work. Guiding him on emotional confusion.
And it almost made her want to cut off the growing emotional bond she was forming with him. For it reminded her of the saddest fact of her life.
Her womb could not birth a child. No matter how they tried. Natural. Rituals. Potions. Spells. Nothing could fix it.
Perhaps it was because she saw herself and Albus in that child so much, that she became motherly towards him.
After all, she had known the teen barely for three months and was already sending him Christmas presents.
She was hopeless wasn't she?
And if she was honest with herself again, she was happy.

Albus Dumbledore chuckled as he watched his wife berate the Weasley twins and Raven.
The Weasley twins were an introducing duo. Twins who managed to bypass the ghoul stage of vampirism, and go straight to Dead Apostles. The interesting thing about soul bonds were still unknown even to this day.
They didn't let their inhuman heritage ruin their lives. They ran with it and made it their specialty. Using their beyond human abilities to bring joy and amusement to others.
Then there was Raven. A young boy wrapped in mystery.
A prodigy in the magical arts of all kinds that he got his hand on. A magician of the first true Magic. A half human, half something.
Most importantly a teenager who's suffered more than a lot of adults Albus knew. And he knew a lot of people.
Despite all that, the young man kept on moving forward, even if it was in his own twisted path, but still moving forward,
Making progress. Learning to appreciate the things he never had before. Learning that having friends isn't a bad thing. Really, it made Albus happy to see such joy on the child's face. Brought elation to his old heart.
Of course Albus wouldn't deny he felt some form of connection to the teen. Paternal in nature. Perhaps he was getting extra emotional in his old age, but he felt like this child was a son to him, even after only meeting them a couple times.
He had sent the child a book after all. From his own personal collection as well. He never gave students gifts as a form of impartiality. He had broken it after a single meeting.
"Oh well, I'll be selfish this time." Albus said to himself with a small laugh before returning to his dinner.

Fred and George Wesley loved their bestfriend like a little brother.
He had come into their lives in a shocking way, and they would be fools if they let him leave. He was the best thing to happen to them.
He didn't care that they were vampiric beings. He was intrigued by their need to drink blood. He treated them as people.
Their family struggled to do so. Their mother kept them at arm's length, always blaming them for things. Their father was interested in muggle things, but he did care and tried to be involved, and they loved him for it.
Their older brothers Charlie and William ran off soon as they could to avoid their mother. Their younger brother Ron hated them for not being human, and for the fact they swapped his teddy bear that one time for a big dirty spider.
Their younger sister Ginny, sweet little Ginny, loved them to death and always wanted to hang out with them when they were home. It made their days if they were honest.
But despite all that, they felt alone. Misunderstood. Unnoticed. Hated.
Then he came.
In all his sarcastic and quippy dry humor nature, made them feel alive. Feel wanted. Noticed. Cared for.
They would do anything to protect their brother. Even if it meant dooming themselves. They wouldn't let him be harmed.

Nym "don't call me Nymphadora" Tonks always thought she was alone.
Being a metamorphmagus is not an easy life. Especially if you're a girl. Guys tried to date you to have their dream girl pleasure them. To show off.
Never wanting her.
Her mother always worked at the hospital and didn't understand the fact that the name she gave her led to almost terrifying situations by guys.
Her father worked as a lawyer and was almost never home. Only sometimes home for dinner or breakfast. She could count the times she saw him for more than an hour on her hands during her summer breaks.
All her "friends" only wanted to use her talents. The only friend she had was Charlie Weasley, but that's because she's pretty sure he's only interested in dragons sexually. Decent bloke though.
Then she found out she wasn't alone. There was a male metamorphmagus, and she wouldn't leave him, she had found one and now she wouldn't lose someone who could and would understand her.
And since she was graduating this year, she would miss his dry humor. The sarcastic quips. He was like the best friend she never had. They were so much alike.
At least she knew he wouldn't be alone since he had those twins with him.
Perhaps she could one day try dating him if she didn't find anyone interesting when he got old enough.

Lorelei Bartemolei stared at the picture of her master. Not that he knew she was his servant as of this moment, but soon he would.
He would have the power of her family behind him to help him in anything. She would serve him till the end of her lifetime. Then her children would do so, if he permitted her to have children.
Her mind wandered to little brown haired blue eyed children. Perhaps white haired brown eyed children.
Then she blushed imagining her stomach swollen with her master's child growing inside her.
Yeah, she was down bad. Let's continue on.

Izzy The Cat, purred as she enjoyed the scratching by her human. He loved her and she loved him. It was as simple as that.

Fawkes The Phoenix enjoyed the company of the hybrid being known as Raven.
He was gentle when he rubbed under the chin, and scratched just right at his plume of feathers. He brought him plenty of grapes. The nice red kind, and always plenty.
The child was an emotional wreck of trauma, sarcasm and dry humored quips. But Fawkes liked this child. If Albus ever died, Fawkes could see himself choosing to live with Raven. To guide and protect him.
Fawkes also knew what the child truly was. More than a magician. He was more than human. He was a-

Raven Inanis smiled as he sat on a tree branch up high, away from sight, writing in a notebook on magical theory.
It made him feel good to just write out his thoughts about magic. His brain started to hurt after a while of filling up.
As he thought about that, his thoughts turned to the others he grew to know this year. And the nicknames he started mentally calling them.
Momma Cat. Minerva McGonagall was a motherly figure in his life, and he could appreciate that. Now if he could just cause her to gray hair early, then she would be like Albus.
Gandalf. Albus To-Many-Names Dumbledore was a fatherly figure, perhaps a grandfather figure, in his life. Not always there, but always there when you needed him. Gave out solid advice, and then groaned about back pains.
Bouncy. Nymphadora Tonks. An older friend who liked to make sure he was ok, not a sister figure, but definitely someone he found himself liking. She was also kinda hot, so there was that too. Her big boobs bouncing always made his eyes follow.
He was a hormonal teen damnit!
S&M Queen. Lorelei. She always gave off a weird feeling that had Raven feel good and weird about it. Despite that though, he was grateful for Lorelei and did look forward to being her apprentice for the summer vacation. She was a somewhat strict woman, but she seemed to care, and was helpful.
Izzy, she was his cat and he loved her. Simple as that. No nicknames needed. She was his emotional support animal at this point. A therapist who listened.
Fawkes, also no nickname, Fawkes was cool and brought interesting things to him randomly for grapes. Like one time he bought a tome on shadow magic, all for a small bowl of grapes. Plus he was super warm.
Then there was them.
Chaos Twins. Fred and George. His first friends. The two who brought him out his shell and introduced him to the finer things in the world. The funner stuff.
He could go on and on about them, but simply put, he was grateful for them. They were his brothers. He would do anything for them.
They went above and beyond. And he was forever indebted to them.
A bond of brotherhood for all of eternity and beyond between them.
