Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Chapter 44: Second Day.

Hello! This is my latest novel! Unlike my other novels, this one isn't finished yet. The first volume is finished, though. And you can buy it on Amazon here. If you would be so kind, you can also get the first volume(and anything else I've made.) on my Patreon for donating $10 or over that, here. If you wish for updates, the $10 and over tiers will give you access to chapters when I actually finish them. (Maybe one a day? Idk, as I will be mainly working on other novels as well. But, there will at least be one new chapter every few days.)

Chapter 44: Second Day.

*Celia’s POV*

Once the principal’s speech was over, the student president had a speech of her own. Her voice was so amazing, it had woken me up from my nap! Well, Ria woke me up with a death glare, but I would feel much better giving the cute student president the credit, rather than my scary maid…

Unlike the principal, her speech was far more interesting, and her voice helped with keeping people’s attention. Basically, she spoke about this academy, and all of its rules. From what I recall from the earlier speech, it was mostly about the history of this academy. You know, stuff most people would find to be super boring.

After she finished speaking, the whole welcoming event was over. With Ria, I walked to where I will be living for… Wait… how long am I supposed to be in this academy? I can’t believe that I never asked…

*The Next Morning.*

Ah, right, I forgot to ask about how long I will attend this academy… I even went to sleep without thinking about it until just this morning… After my morning routine of being pampered by my cute maids, and after I finished my tasty breakfast, I just had to have this question answered.

Celia: “Ria, how long will I be attending this Academy?” I ask with a serious tone.

Ria: “Four years, Lady Celia.” She replied.

Celia: “…”

So, this place really is just a fancy college… Whatever! I have school to attend. But wait, what even are my classes? I asked this to Ria.

Ria: “History, Dance Lessons, Manner Lessons, Mathematics, are all the standard classes for women. Lady Celia.” She answered.

Celia: “Huh? Aren’t I supposed to be going to this academy so that I can get stronger?” I ask with a head tilt.

Ria: “Standard for women, Lady Celia. All classes are opt in. As this is your second day, Lady Celia, you must go register for the classes that you wish to learn in.” She explained.

Okay, good… I was worried that I would end up wasting a shit ton of time playing school girl. Though, at least I have the option to actually attend classes that I care about. Since I was already dressed in my uniform, I walked with Ria, who guided me to the place where I can register for classes.

Funnily enough, it was the same auditorium. It makes sense, considering that I think that it’s the biggest single use building on campus. Actually, if they’re using it for class registration, then I guess that this building isn’t single use? Ah, a very pointless thing, that I shouldn’t really bother using my head to think about.

Anyway, the classism rears its ugly head once more. As I, and the other important students, had their own separate line. In fact, we had five different lines, just for us, so no one line was full.

This surely won’t cause a massive divide between the students of this academy! Though, as I am directly benefiting from this classism, I kinda lose any footing to complain about it.

Once it was my turn, I was presented with a list on a piece of paper. Said list had plenty of classes to choose from. Considering that I am pretending to be Amelie’s student, it was a given that I chose to attend magic class. But the other classes were fully my choices.

Luckily for combat, there was only one class, which was split up by, beginner, adept, expert, and finally, master. The combat class had different teachers for each weapon, and each way of fighting. That includes fighting with magic. History wasn’t something that I cared about, so I didn’t choose it.

Once I made my final decisions, I am now supposed to attend, combat class, magic class, and adventure class. Magic class was also split up similarly to combat class, with each section focusing on different types of magic. Adventure class was just about exploring dungeons, and taking on quests from the Guild.

Huh? That is a small number of classes? Well, according to Ria, most people will only take on 2-3 classes. Only overachievers take on more. I tried doing that while I was in college, and if I am vain enough, I’d say that is the reason why I failed most of my classes. With hindsight, I am not going to make the same mistake once again.

I’ve never really been a people person, I avoided walking up to any of my fellow students, and instead, I asked Ria to show me to the library. Look, I know that I said that I wanted a wife, and friends, but at least let me get used to my environment first, before you yell at me about it. Who am I even talking to?…

Whatever! As for my destination, the library is five times bigger than I originally thought that it would be. I thought that the auditorium would be the biggest building, and technically, from the outside, it is. But the library has some weird magic in it, where the inside stretches on for miles, but the outside is a normal sized building. Crazy…

As I was having a fit of choice fatigue, I just sat down on one of the various seats in this place. Rather than a chair, it was more like a couch. Really, various tables, all lined with luxury couches. It is quite the sight… Anyway, from my pouch, I took out the book that Amelie gave me a while back.

I should be able to read it now, and I actually have the time to read it. With great excitement of me finally being able to learn magic, I turned the book open!

So… I can’t fucking read! Those bastards! They only gave me the ability to speak the common human language, but they didn’t give me the information to actually read it!

Ria: “Lady Celia, you look depressed. That seems like a book that Amelie made, could something be wrong with it?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “No… Just… don’t laugh. I know how to speak this language, but I cannot read it. Those higher beings didn’t give me that information.” I say with an embarrassed tone.

Ria: “The higher beings not being considerate? How rare.” She said with a joking tone, before putting her hand on my head.

Like before, there was a slight pain in my head. I was confused, but when I looked back at my book, I could actually read it. Ria… that girl is so scary. No wonder Amelie lets her get away with how disrespectful that Ria is to her…

Celia: “Ria, thanks!” I say with a smile.

Ria: “Anytime, Lady Celia.” She said with a bow.

With the help of my scary maid, I calmed down, and went on with reading my book. Ria said that Amelie made it, and I was absolutely certain that was the truth.

As the book was written as if it was made by an insane person, her basically rambled on, and on, with occasional useful information sprinkled here and there. I… this is going to take a while to decipher… While I was stressing out about this, a cute girl approached me…
