Boruto: The Almighty

Chapter 3: The Repeater Iwabe Yuino

Zangetsu POV

"I see so this is what they call a video game aye," I remarked as Boruto showed me the controls for super ninja fighters three.

"Geez Zangetsu you're like an old man how don't you know what a video game is?" Shikadai questioned from the spot next to me while Denki stared at me like I was a rat or something.

I could feel my eyebrow twitching at the mention of old man clearly there's no respect for the elderly I see "I am an orphan, so I don't really pay attention to stuff that doesn't provide or is a basic necessity. I only focus on things that I need and save up the rest of my money for rent payments," I replied.

There was a pause before Shikadai broke it patting my shoulder "oh uh...sorry man we didn't know," he said which caused the other two to start apologizing profusely but I merely waved my hand "there's no need to apologize I am not upset about it really," I said placating their worries.

The school bell suddenly rang signifying the start of lunch "we should probably go get some lunch," Denki said as we all began heading back to class in order to grab our bentos.

When we got there several other kids were already there grabbing their respective bentos in a panic "yo you guys mind if we join you for lunch!" Boruto asked however they all shook their head "sorry! We're going up to the roof top you guys should to," they said rushing out the room.

I side eyed them as they passed by me "well...that was quite odd," I commented "yeah no kidding," Boruto agreed.

"Hey, you guys are loud go somewhere else," came the voice of some random punk looking kid with tanned skin and brown hair covered by a beanie.

Having known where the position of his chakra signature was, I pointed it out to the others "look over there," I said.

Shikadai, Denki, and Boruto looked over to see the same boy getting up from behind one of the desks "you're bothering me I'm using this room right now," the unknown boy continued.

"Who is he?" Boruto questioned and Shikadai explained "that's Iwabe Yuino or otherwise known as the repeater it's been rumored that he failed the graduation exam twice," of course Boruto couldn't practically feel the pent-up rage in the other boy like I could and greeted him.

"Oh so you're our senior nice to meet you!" he shouted while waving his hand at Iwabe "don't get all damned friendly with me Hokage's son!" Iwabe practically snarled with hate.

Things soon turned tense as the two had their arguments about Boruto being the son of the Seventh, the fourth shinobi war, and how the graduation exams were stupid.

Glancing behind me I could see a crowd of other students gathered watching the commotion. Suddenly Iwabe grabbed Boruto by the collar and tossed him at the teaching podium which knocked the air out of him.

"If you've got a problem with me then come at me," Iwabe said stopping Shikadai from helping while Denki ran over to check up on Boruto meanwhile Shikadai keeps glancing at me wondering why I was silent and not trying to helping him out.

I was contemplating whether this required my interference or not when Iwabe shouted "listen up strength is everything! What's the use of studying obediently like you guys! As long as your strong you can do anything you want!"

I calmly watched as Denki tried to reason with him about how the Seventh Hokage wanted to use ninjutsu in peaceful ways. My eyes darkened at those words there was a lot that I respected of my reincarnated nephews descendent, but he was wrong with one thing Ninjutsu could never be something for peace.

As long as there are others who are fueled by grief, anger, selfishness, greed, and desire conflicts will always be bound to occur. It was why I had argued with Hagoromo to not spread chakra to others, but he never listened he always kept arguing how it can be used to bring about peace and harmony.

I've seen it with the use of my All Mighty that even without chakra or tailed beasts humanity itself would still have wars and weapons capable of annihilating entire civilizations.

"He's not riding on his father's coattails he's not like that at all!! I watched Boruto and that's why I decided to come to this academy so how would you know," Denki's sudden shout snaps me out of my dark thoughts.

Iwabe goes to grab Denki by the neck...only he didn't instead I instantly appeared grabbing Iwabe's wrist tightly without even flinching from how much strength he was putting in trying to pull back.

"That's quite enough Iwabe Yuino violence is not the right answer...I understand that your angry and you just want to vent don't you," I finally spoke up aware of everyone turning their gaze at me.

"Woah one moment he was over here and the next over there was it some kind of jutsu," Shikadai murmured underneath his breath.

Iwabe's fiery glare burned through me as I released his wrist the tension in the room thickening with each passing second.

"Don't act like you know me," he spat stepping back and crossing his arms "you're just another loudmouth punk trying to lecture me what gives you the right?"

I tilted my head slightly a faint smirk creeping onto my face "a punk? Maybe but I'm also the one who just took your number one spot in the obstacle course today," my voice was calm deliberate every word chosen to strike a nerve.

Iwabe's eyes widened his face darkening with anger "what did you just say?" his tone was low dangerous.

"You heard me," I crossed my arms meeting his gaze without flinching "you like to talk big about strength and power, but actions speak louder than words and today my actions proved that you're not as unbeatable as you think."

The classroom erupted with murmurs the other students whispering amongst themselves. Iwabe's reputation as the top physical performer in the academy wasn't something anyone dared to challenge until now.

Iwabe clenched his fists his chakra flaring slightly "you think you're so tough, huh? Fine let's see if you can back up those words. You and the Hokage's brat both! I'll take you both down right here right now."

Boruto still rubbing his ribs perked up "fine by me we can easily take down an uncool piece of shit like you down with no problem."

I sighed pinching the bridge of my nose "this isn't exactly the best way to handle things my words were not meant to—"

"Are you scared?" Iwabe interrupted a mocking grin spreading across his face "all that shit talk and now you're backing down? Pathetic."

My gaze hardens while my hand reaches down to my katana "very well but I have some conditions should we win," I said.

Iwabe's mocking grin faltered for a moment as his eyes darted to the hilt of my katana, his bravado clashing with the growing tension in the room. The crowd of students fell silent their curiosity turning into a palpable anticipation.

"Conditions?" Iwabe scoffed "you think you're in any position to make demands?"

I slid my katana a fraction from its sheath it's black metallic hiss echoing softly "oh I think I am. You see I don't just fight for the sake of fighting if you're going to waste my time I want something worthwhile out of it," I explained.

Iwabe sneered but his voice wavered slightly "fine what are these conditions of yours?"

I tapped the side of my blade lightly, each tap deliberate and calculated "first if we win you'll stop harassing your classmates and keep that temper of yours in check. You've got strength but strength without discipline is meaningless. Second..." I turned to the crowd of students my voice rising slightly "you'll apologize not only just to us but to everyone here for your behavior if you're strong enough to fight you're strong enough to admit when you're wrong to."

The crowd murmured in surprise a few nodding in agreement Boruto smirked, clearly enjoying the way I had taken control of the situation "and if you somehow win," I added returning my gaze to Iwabe, "I'll admit that I underestimated you and shall even call you 'boss' for the rest of our year. Deal?"

Iwabe's expression hardened his pride refusing to back down "fine," he spat "but don't come crying when I crush you both."

"Crush us?" Boruto chimed in cracking his knuckles "man you're in for a rude awakening!"

"Very well," I said sheathing my katana fully and stepping forward "let's take this to the training grounds this isn't the appropriate place to settle disputes."

-end of chapter two-

So how was it?

I am trying to make it out so that the MC is calm, collected, and wise like Old Man Zangetsu was to Ichigo (as is also why he talks so formally and uses complex words from time to time). I also don't want him to constantly use Almighty for every single little thing not to mention All Mighty is pretty cost heavy in terms of chakra for him so he won't use it unless it's very dire situation where he can't win a fight.

Eida is also going to be a future problem since her own abilities are kind of similar to Almighty but rather than bringing the desired outcome from a specific future to the current present (plus adaptation and understanding the power of his opponents) Eida can see all there is to the past and can alter anything she want's and therefor rewriting history itself, making things exactly she wants them to be.

Idk I am sort of just writing this all out as I go nothing planned since this is how I write.
