Ascension of the Monster Queen

The person who held Nessa up so that she wouldn't fall, was none other than the demon and he exhaled deeply as he looked at her then lifted her up in his arms and took her to her room.

The demon placed her on her bed, then covered her with the blanket, before glancing at her, wondering what was going on in her life, that pushed her to that state and she sighed.

"Why do things have to be like this?' He wondered as he looked at her and she began flinching in her sleep and he looked at her with his eyes narrowed.

"What's going on with you? Have you exhausted yourself?" He asked as he sat down then sighed before closing his eyes.

'Damn, I need to stop sleeping so late,' He thought as he leaned back on the chair, trying his best to relax.

A little while after, the girl regained consciousness and she wiped her eyes then sat up with her head aching her and she looked around.

"I am home, last night..." She mumbled and at the same time, she saw the demon was sleeping on the couch in her room and she smiled as she looked at him then scoffed.

"I remember, after I came home last night, I fainted... I thought you had lft but you came back, why?" She asked as she got off of the bed then coughed before glancing at her hand.

'What happened to me? Did I really exhaust myself after fighting so much?' She wondered.

"I will take that advice," She said as she was about to walk past the demon but stubbed her toe on the side of the chair and she was about to fall.

But, at the same time, the demon flung up from his chair, grabbed her by her waist before twisting her around and she wrapped her hand around his neck, due to which, for some reason, both of their eyes began glowing, slightly.

"Your eyes..." She mumbled and his eyes narrowed as he looked at her then raised her up and she sighed, before thanking him and he looked at her.

"What's going on with you?" He asked and she glanced at him.

"Nothing much, I am just a little tired, with everything that has been going on these past few days, that's all," She responded as she grabbed her clothes to go freshen up.

"I am not stupid, that's not the only reason," He said and she sighed.

"Just drop it, I am going to freshen up, we can talk at breakfast if you will be staying until then," She replied then went to freshen up and he exhaled deeply.

The demon scoffed then sat down on the chair and closed his eyes, thinking about a few other things, which he had to deal with, sooner or later, while she took her bath.

As he waited, he remembered what happened the day before and the energy he sensed coming off of her and his brows furrowed.

'What the hell is this? What's going on with her? These changes, there is no way that they are normal, this has not happened before,' He thought.

"Let's go," She said as she went down to the kitchen and he followed her.

The girl began making them breakfast and he looked at her then decided to help her and she glanced at him, wondering what he was up to.

"I have more work to do, so what are you planning?" She asked and he scoffed.

"I am not planning anything, though if I were you, I would start sharing your work, taking it all on your own right now, is not going to do you any good, whatsoever," H responded and she smiled at him.

"You are right about that, from today I am going to start slitting up my work, since I have to help Mikala and her family as well," She said and he nodded then she sighed.

"Can you pass me a glass of juice?" She asked and he nodded then poured her a glass of juice and she thanked him then drank it.

As she was drinking it, he noticed the energy around her body had changed a little bit and his eyes narrowed as he leaned in closer to her and she flinched then glanced at him and swallowed the juice.

'Wh- What the hell is this one up to this time?' She wondered as she looked at him then began coughing and he looked at her.

"You are going to go through more changes from what I can see, you better be prepared for what more you may face in the upcoming future," He said and she nodded then placed the glass down.

"I will be, I know the future path holds a lot of things that are perilous, let's eat our food, I am hungry," She replied as she walked away and both of them went into the living room and began eating their breakfasts.

"Nessa, with what happened back at their kingdom, it's only going to get worse, in the future, you have to push more or they will get what they want, because they are using methods we cannot use, do you understand?" He asked.

"Yeah, I understand all of it, very well, there is no need to worry about that, I know why they are ahead of us as well, I will handle it, we will continue talking about this later, I need to think about a few things," She responded and he nodded then both of them continued eating.

A little while after, when they finished eating, the demon went outside, while Nessa was cleaning up a little and thinking about a few things, when Riki and the others spotted him, since they were going to visit Nessa.

Upon seeing him they rushed to him, wondering who he was and what he was doing there and Riki pointed his blade to him.

"I can explain, don't point a blade at me, it won't end well for you," He said with a piercing look in his eyes and Riki's brows furrowed.

"Who are you?" He asked and just as Riki was about to strike the demon.

Nessa heard the commotion outside and she rushed out of her home and her blade clashed with Riki's as she stopped it before it could even get near the demon.
