Ascension of the Monster Queen

Riki and the others gasped as they looked at her and her eyes narrowed as it glowed and Riki moved back from her, as the demon glanced at her and she stood up straight, placing her blade by her side.

The others exchanged glances, wondering what was going on and she coughed then turned towards the demon, before looking back at the others, whom she noticed were quite confused by what was happening.

"Next time, don't attack someone just like that, even if you don't know them, it could be an innocent person if not a bad one, do you get what I am saying?" She asked and Riki exhaled deeply as he looked up at her and her brows furrowed.

"I am sorry, I am just a little stressed out, he seemed quite suspicious and I just acted, I am sorry," He responded as he bowed his head to her and she sighed.

"It's okay, at least no one was hurt, he is my friend, he is not trespassing or anything, I should have clarified this before, so part of this is my fault as well don't be too hard on yourselves," She said as the demon looked at them.

"I should have just stayed inside as well," The demon replied and she glanced at him then scoffed.

"Nope, it's okay, you have been coming and going so much, it's as if you are making my home yours," She said as the two tared at each other and he moved closer to her.

'Damn it, I am still not feeling well, this can't keep going on, it won't end well,' She thought and just as she was about to fall back.

The demon grabbed her by her waist, pulling her a little closer to him and she glanced at him, as the others looked on.

"Thanks," She said.

"You should just get some rest, you look like you need it," He replied.

"We can continue talking about him later, but are you okay?" Riki asked and she looked at him.

"Yeah, I am fine, I just need to relax a bit, it's similar to overwork, what I am going through right now, there is nothing to worry about, but there are a few tasks that I have to give you guys," She responded as they looked at each other.

"We will do anything if it means that you will get a break, from these sorts of things," Dalia said and Nessa smiled before patting the girl on her shoulder.

"I will tell you guys what you have to do in a few, if you haven't eaten breakfast as yet, come on, in," She replied as she was about to walk away, when she felt the demon's hand was still on her waist and both of them glanced at each other, locking eyes.

'What the hell is this? Why didn't he let go or did he not realize?' She wondered then he squeezed her qaist and she flinched then looked at him and his eyes narrowed.

'Those eyes... They are dangerous,' She said as she grabbed onto his arm then moved it away from her before walking away and the others followed her in.

The demon glanced back at her with his eyes narrowed and a smirked appeared on his face as he looked at her, then went inside after them, since they all had to talk and he couldn't just leave.

"Lady Nessa," He called out, as the others went to the kitchen, to help serve breakfast.

"What is it? Don't think about leaving, uh.... You and I need to talk," She said and Riki glanced at the demon then he nodded, before taking a seat, at the dining table.

"So, what's your name?" Riki asked and he looked at Nessa, who nodded and he gave Riki, the name Nessa had given to him and she smiled then sat down beside the demon and Riki's eyes narrowed as he looked at him.

"If you don't mind me asking? What's with the sneaking around and hiding? Why didn't we know of you if you kept coming here?" Riki asked.

'Yeah, how do you guys know each other?" Dalia asked and the demon's eyes narrowed then Nessa, sighed, knowing that certain questions he couldn't answer.

"I am not someone who can be seen at certain places, being sneaky sort of happened, due to the hours I would visit her, I am someone who just happened to be there and we became friends," The demon responded.

"He is right, he is sort of important where he is from as well, so he had to keep a low profile, he went with me to that kingdom, the entire journey, he helped in saving them when I was not there, he has been doing lots of things that would go in both of our favors," She said.

"Is that so? So, to sum it up, you guys have a sort of complicated understanding and you are helping each other?" Riki asked.

'Well, that is one way to put it, either way, you should know that I mean no harm, putting you guys in trouble, won't benefit me in anyway, with the way things are, some may even think that I am working for her," He responded, as he glanced at her, while she ate.

"I see, well we understand now and are relieved that you were there to help her, we really appreciate, now you can come and go without hiding, sorry about before," Riki said.

"It's okay, that was on me as well, now that the confusion is cleared up, things will be better," He replied as he collected the food and Nessa glanced at him, then he began eating.

'Damn it, all of this keeps getting more and more complicated, I have to start handling them, even if it means all at once,' She thought.

"Riki, it's time we take other steps forward, things are going to change, I want you guys to go help that kingdom, it will be an envoy sent from here to there, it will serve as many things as well," She said and they stopped eating.

They were not expecting anything like that and they turned to look at her immediately, for they had never gone to a kingdom, under her name, officially before.
