As Homelander In Multiverse

Chapter 124: Chapter 124: I Will Find You

Susan Raynor stopped in her tracks when she heard his words and turned around to look at Homelander.

But Homelander had his back to her. He reached out and tapped the floor-to-ceiling window. "Look, Deputy Director, our city is so safe, so prosperous."

"And yet, you want to destroy it."

"Have you ever thought about what would happen if you revealed Compound V?"

"Let's imagine it happens as you wish. You expose the truth about Compound V, unravel Vought's lies, and take superheroes out of commission, leaving them jobless."

"At that point, no one would be willing to hire them. So what would they do?"

"I think, looking at those superpowered criminals, you can probably guess what unemployed superheroes might do."

"But none of them matter. What matters is me. Do you think I'll just retire, go home, listen to music, grow flowers, or maybe fish every day?"

Homelander laughed softly. "Of course not."

Then, the corners of his mouth curved into a smile.

"I will destroy everything."

"I'll drag people like you out of your buildings, out of your fortresses, out of your heavily guarded shelters, and kill you all, one by one."

The temperature in the command center suddenly dropped. The Deputy Director felt a chill rise from her back, crawling up into her head.

She felt that Homelander wasn't joking. He was serious.

At this moment, the killing intent emanating from this man was real and undeniable.

But just as quickly, the cold and that killing intent disappeared, as if it had all been her imagination.

Homelander turned around, his smile dazzling. "So, go ahead."

"I won't stop you."

"But after you reveal the truth, you'd better go home quickly and say goodbye to your children and parents."

"Because I will find you."

Susan Raynor trembled slightly, unable to speak.

Homelander raised his chin slightly, gesturing for the Deputy Director to leave. "Go ahead, Mickey."

The Deputy Director hesitated, then pulled out the vial and placed it on the table. She gave the man in the room one last deep look before leaving silently.

Homelander glanced at the vial on the table, walked over, picked it up, and casually threw it into the trash can nearby.

After the Deputy Director of the CIA left, Homelander found a chair, sat down, leaned against the backrest, and opened his inventory.

He remembered that he still had three random multiverse loot boxes to open.

So, he took one out.

Looking at the lottery-box-like item in his hand, Homelander wiped his face and reached inside. "This time, give me something useful and let me shake off this unlucky streak."

As before, the loot box seemed to contain an endless void. Homelander couldn't feel the box's existence, as if his hand had reached into a universe.

Then, his palm warmed slightly. Homelander withdrew his hand, and a faint glow appeared in his palm.

The light quickly transformed into an object.

A pair of glasses!

One lens of the glasses was cracked, and it was unclear which universe this item came from.

Homelander picked it up, and some information appeared on his retina.

[Captain Archibald Witwicky's Glasses: A relic from the Transformers universe. Wearing them reveals the coordinates of the AllSpark.]

"Transformers? The AllSpark's coordinates?"

Homelander straightened up instinctively. He tried putting on the glasses. Through the lens, a display resembling a car navigation system appeared in his field of vision. An arrow spun aimlessly, like a broken compass.

Homelander removed the glasses and chuckled. "Looks like they'll only work in the Transformers universe."

He put the glasses back into his inventory and pulled out another loot box.

Moments later, a document appeared in his hand.

He stared at it, bewildered.

[Pan-Pacific Defense Corps (PPDC)]

[Combat Weapon Archive—Jaeger]

[Name: Gipsy Danger]

[Model: Mark-III]

[Activation Date: January 10, 2017]

[Operating System: BLPK4.1 (with neural handshake fluid interface)]

[Power System: Nuclear-powered turbine engines]

[Note: Reactor shielding upgraded. All pilots of first- and third-generation Jaegers must take prescribed therapeutic Mesasoroxin daily during service.]

Homelander was slightly stunned, not expecting to pull out an item from the Pacific Rim universe.

Although it was just a useless Jaeger document, it indicated that the Pacific Rim universe existed!

Just as he was about to take out the last loot box, Ashley walked in to remind him that he had a 10 o'clock appointment with Orga Weapons Development Company.

During the Manhattan Incident, Orga's CEO, Arnold, had agreed to share their battle armor technology with the Federation and Vought.

Today was the day he was fulfilling that promise.

Homelander nodded and decided to postpone opening the last loot box. He stood up and prepared to head to Orga.

---

Since his abduction that day, soldier Levin hadn't stepped outside his home for several days.

It was already evening. He sat in his wheelchair, glanced at the distant street through the window, and sighed.

"Homelander has probably forgotten about me, right?"

"Levin, get a grip."

"Who would remember a cripple like you, let alone a superhero like Homelander?"

He wheeled himself to the table and looked at the trophies and medals on it.

Levin reached out for one of the trophies, the one he'd won during a high school football league, but he couldn't reach it from his wheelchair.

Just as he was about to give up, a hand reached over his head and picked up the trophy.

Then, Homelander's voice rang out.

"Football league gold medal."

"Quite the achievement, Mr. Levin."

Levin turned his wheelchair around in delight and saw Homelander.

Homelander smiled and handed him the trophy. "I can't give you an award ceremony, but I can fulfill the promise I made to you the other day."

"Now, there's just one question."

"Are you ready, Mr. Levin, to leave your old life behind?"

Levin didn't answer immediately. He looked around, then asked, "Before I go, can I say goodbye to my parents?"

"Of course, that's your right."

Levin nodded. "Please wait a moment."

Homelander flew out the window, patiently waiting for Levin to bid farewell to his parents.

When night fell, they arrived at a desolate hilltop. Homelander took out the Druid Transformation Serum.

"After injecting this, your genes will change. You'll become a superhuman capable of shifting between bear, wolf, and harpy forms."

"Now, I'll administer the serum. Are you ready?"

Levin clenched his fists. "I'm ready, sir."

Homelander smiled. "It might hurt a bit."

Moments later, the deserted hill echoed with Levin's cries of pain, which gradually turned into bear growls, then wolf howls.

Finally, the hill resounded with an eagle's screech.
