Another World Fluffy Cafe

Ch81 - Tada! I’ve got the property and land!

Chapter 21: Tada! I’ve got the property and land!
“Whoa, all of this land is mine…!!”

Having successfully completed the purchase of the property and land at the Tamer Guild, Taichi returned to the fluffy cafe. The land he purchased is equivalent to five soccer fields.

“Wow, we can run around here!”
“Shall we make a river!? ”
“Let’s gather more friends!”

Cerberus was happily running around, excited about the wide space to run in.

“However, that doesn’t mean I’ll be using this land right away. It’s just not possible for me to do it alone.”

He needs to maintain it, and even if he builds something, he doesn’t have a specific use for it yet.

(If I built a house using skills, people would be shocked, right?)

In that case, it would be best to have a carpenter do the main structure and then use his skills for the finer details.

That means the fluffy cafe will have to take a break for a while, which he finds a bit unpleasant.

“Hmmm. For now, I’ll keep the current store as my home and have a new store built!”

He can fence off the area behind the store and make it like an interaction corner at a zoo.

Then, he’ll have to build a fluffy shelter as well.

(Yeah, that sounds good!)

While Taichi grinned at the land, Luke shot him a side-eye.

“You seem to be thinking of something ridiculous, huh?”
“No, no, no! I’m thinking of something super meaningful! First, I need to find a carpenter to build a new fluffy cafe!! So, I’m going to head into town for a bit… What about you guys?”

At Taichi’s words, Luke shook his head.

“Knowing you, the talk will be long, right? I’ll just wait here leisurely.”
“““Then we’ll go with you!”””

In place of Luke, Cerberus raised its paw. It seemed happy to be able to go out together, wagging its tail excitedly.

So cute.

“Alright, let’s go together. I hope we can find a good carpenter.”

Back at the Tamer Guild, Taichi was introduced to a recommended carpenter by Shalti.

They arrived at a carpenter’s shop on the edge of town.

“What!? You want to make a fluffy cafe?!”
“Oh, that one… the cafe with a ton of monsters, right?!”
“Thanks for knowing about it!”

The carpenter and his apprentice stepped out.

“Master, I want to go to the fluffy cafe!”
“Are you stupid? That’s not a place for people like us!!”

It seemed they were aware of the fluffy cafe. They had been curious about it but had felt embarrassed to visit.

The apprentice appeared to be interested in new things. He was a cheerful guy in his twenties.

The master, on the other hand, looked like a strict craftsman. He was a short, fifty-year-old man wearing a headband.

Cerberus watched the two and exclaimed, “Whoa!”

“Will these guys make the new cafe for us?”
“Are they good at their craft?”
“I’m so excited!”

The apprentice noticed Cerberus staring and jumped up.
“W-What’s this dog?!”
“A three-headed one, how unusual!”

The master seemed shaken but didn’t show it. However, it was clear he was glancing at them frequently.

He was very curious.

The master cleared his throat and looked at Taichi.

“So, about this fluffy cafe… Do you have any ideas about what you want? I’ve made barns for tamed beasts, but I’m not quite sure about a cafe.”
“Yes! But… It might be faster to show you the current cafe.”

With that, Taichi invited the master and the apprentice to the fluffy cafe.

The fluffy cafe was closed for the day.

In other words, it was like having the master and apprentice all to themselves.

As soon as they entered, the apprentice’s excitement hit the roof.
“Wow! This is the famous fluffy cafe!! It’s amazing!!”
“Hey, don’t be so loud! It’s embarrassing!!”

The master hit the apprentice on the head to quiet him down.

“Well then, I’ll go prepare some tea, so please relax.”
“Thanks.”
“Awesome!”

While Taichi stepped away, the master slowly walked around the shop. He needed to see the current state with his own eyes.

There were many things prepared for the fluffy ones, starting with the spiral cat tower in the center.

The forest cats were using it to move around freely.

“I see, so this is the path the tamed beasts take…”
“It’s amazing! Oh, hey, master!!”
“What is it?”
“There are ore hedgehogs too! This is incredible!!”
“Me?”

The apprentice went to Ruby and Ume, who were lounging on the sofa. He was staring at Ruby’s spiky ore.

“Wow, wow, it’s shining!”
“Hey, if you mess with Ruby, I won’t let you off easily!”

Ume hissed at the approaching apprentice, making it clear that Ruby had her turn, so don’t look at her strangely!

“Whoa!”
“What the heck is this idiot doing!”

Without delay, the master’s fist flew at the apprentice.

“That hurts! I just thought the ore looked amazing!”
“Seriously, you’re always causing trouble!”
“I didn’t do anything…”

While the master and apprentice were causing a ruckus, Taichi returned, chuckling at how lively it was as he placed coffee on the table.

Then, the apprentice piped up, “What’s that!?”
“It’s coffee. It’s bitter, so feel free to add sugar and milk. But there are a lot of people who don’t like it, so if that’s the case, don’t hesitate to tell me. We have other drinks too.”
“Got it! I’ll have some! It’s so bitter! It’s awful!”

“Dumbass! Can’t you calm down?”
Once again, the master’s fist came crashing down on the apprentice.

What a hectic pair they were, Taichi thought, smiling wryly.

The apprentice seemed to have settled after adding three sugars and some milk. The master looked grim, so when Taichi offered tea, he seemed to prefer that.

“Sorry for making you worry.”
“It’s no problem. Our drinks have some unique ones too. People often have varied tastes.”

So please don’t worry about it, Taichi smiled.

Taichi glanced around the shop and explained to the master the need for cat towers, windows, and the kind of environment that would be comfortable for the tamed beasts.

Of course, he also made sure to mention the need for storage space for toys and supplies, as cat wands are long and can take up space if not stored properly.

Hearing Taichi’s explanation, the master nodded.
“I see. Do the tamed beasts go outside freely?”
“Basically, they stay inside the shop, but they do go out with me sometimes. Oh, but I also want a spacious garden area for the new cafe.”

Taichi thought having a terrace would be nice.

It would be really enjoyable to have tea time while watching the fluffy ones running around. Rather, he would prefer to sip tea while keeping an eye on everyone.

“Let’s make sure both humans and tamed beasts can go out into the garden!”
“Got it. In that case, we can install a door for humans and a smaller, easily opened door for the tamed beasts.”

So, like a cat door.

Taichi grabbed the master’s hand firmly and looked at him with eager eyes.
“Please, I’d love for you to do this!”

“It’s a bit exaggerated.”
“No! You really are a genius to come up with such a fantastic idea right away…!!”
“You’re making it sound like it’s something grand…”
“No! I hadn’t thought of it at all. It’s true that the tamed beasts might want to go outside sometimes too.”

A new fluffy cafe where the tamed beasts can come and go freely with a spacious garden. Ideas kept flooding in, and Taichi found himself getting greedy for this and that.

“There should be a catwalk for the tamed beasts to walk on the walls… Oh! I want a shelf where customers can store their belongings too.”
“A shelf on the wall, huh… What else is there?”
“Also… we need a place for the tamed beasts to escape to. Up near the ceiling, or maybe a special door to allow free movement to the adjacent resting area for the tamed beasts.”

While listening to Taichi’s requests, the master was muttering something while looking at the ceiling walls. What kind of structure would be appropriate…
