Another World Fluffy Cafe

Ch82 - My Kids Are Adorable

Chapter 22: My Kids Are Adorable

I’ve requested the construction of the café, but there’s still so much to do.

“Alright, everyone, gather around!”

When Taichi called out, the familiars all came together at once.

First, he explained to everyone about the future of the fluffy café. The master was building a new café that would be completed in about three months, so they would be moving to a new location. Also, they would be making the garden themselves.

“Of course, if you don’t like the outdoors, you can still spend time inside the café as usual.”

“Mii~”

“Berryrabbit likes being indoors.”

Berryrabbit prefers to relax without going outside. It rubbed against Taichi’s leg to express its wish, so he petted it for now.

(So cute…)

On the other hand, Cerberus wanted to go outside.

“I want to play outside a lot!”

“This is a chance to ask for new toys, right…?!”

“I want to play with everyone~!”

With sparkling eyes, Cerberus looked at Taichi and the other familiars.

In response, Forest Cat arrived, holding a ball in its mouth.

“W-Will you play with me?”

“Nyaa~”

“Yay!”

(Are they good friends? So cute…)

Taichi felt an overwhelming sense of joy just watching his adorable kids.

“Alright, let’s work hard to make the best café ever!”

“Oh!”

Later…

Tap, tap♪ Clank, clank♪

Hearing the rhythmic sounds, the fluffy café was busy with customers as usual.

Himeri looked out the window and sighed deeply.

“Buying such a large piece of land and building a new café… it’s happening too fast for me to keep up…”

“Ahaha.”

Taichi laughed as he handed Himeri a cup of hot cocoa. On cold winter days, one craves something sweet and warm.

Of course, it was just instant cocoa.

“Thanks… mmm, it’s sweet and delicious!”

Himeri took a sip and her face lit up.

“This is so good!!”

“I’m glad to hear that.”

“Aren’t you going to add it to the menu?”

Taichi pondered at Himeri’s insistence that it would definitely be popular.

If he added too many items to the menu, it would make things more complicated, leading to more work. Then he wouldn’t have enough time to care for the familiars or attend to customers.

(Well, I might think it’s okay to add just one more drink…)

Japanese people tend to accumulate tasks until it becomes overwhelming. Taichi had experienced this firsthand during his days as a company employee.

“Adding more to the menu would just complicate things, so I think it’s better to keep it small.”

“I see, that’s a pity.”

Himeri was pushing for cocoa, but she gave up easily.

(I thought she would press harder for it.)

Taichi looked at Himeri with curiosity, and she sighed as if to say he didn’t understand.

“It seems like you haven’t thought about it much, but when we get the new café, it’ll be bigger, right?”

“Uh? Yeah.”

“Will two people, just you and me, be enough help?”

“……ah.”

Taichi realized he hadn’t thought about it at all and buried his face in his hands.

“I guess….”

“Sorry, I was just thinking about the fluffiness…”

“I thought as much.”

To be honest, the fluffy creatures didn’t require much care.

Since they could communicate, feeding and bathroom breaks went smoothly, and they obediently listened to Taichi.

(I guess the main task will be customer service.)

While there were customers already lining up before opening, it wasn’t always packed.

In fact, there were many times when they had a little breathing room.

(Since the menu mainly consists of instant items, they don’t require much effort…)

“Oh, but if it’s bigger, cleaning will be a hassle.”

The new fluffy café was planned to be two stories high.

With a shop area, storage, a break room, a large kitchen, and a vast garden… it suddenly hit him that he might have bought too much land.

—What should I do?

Just then, as Taichi was lost in thought, Haruru landed on his shoulder.

“I’ll take care of the cleaning, kyuu!”

“I’ll help with cleaning like before, kyuu~!”

“Haruru, but… it’ll be tough, right?”

“I’m fine, kyuu! I want to help Taichi too, kyuu!”

Haruru was so sweet that tears welled up in Taichi’s eyes.

“Himeri, my kids… are the best!”

“I don’t understand the words…”

“Oh, right.”

When Taichi conveyed Haruru’s words, Himeri clapped her hands in excitement.

“Wow, that’s amazing!”

“But if you think about it, there are many tamers who have their familiars help them. Once they step back from battles, almost everyone does that.”

“Now that you mention it, I’ve seen tamers using their familiars to carry things.”

The familiars of Arts, whom Taichi met in the neighboring country, were great helpers at the inn. He would never forget the joy of having a cat bring him the room key.

“Having everyone help out where we’re short-staffed… can we really do that?”

“I think we can!”

“I’ll do my best, kyuu!”

Some hope seemed to emerge.

As Taichi and the others discussed, Cerberus joined in, curious.

“What’s up~?!”

“We were just talking about whether everyone could help with cleaning. Haruru is good at mopping.”

“Cleaning is the thing you and Himeri do, right? I can do it too~!”

“If we divide the tasks, it’ll be more efficient!”

“If we all do it together, it’ll be a piece of cake!”

It seemed Cerberus would also lend a hand. It eagerly mimicked mopping.

(My kids are too good!)

Taichi’s affection for his kids knew no bounds.

The fluffy café still had room to evolve.
