Another World Fluffy Cafe

Ch14 - Securing Staff

Chapter 14 Securing Staff

If there are no fluffy creatures, then let’s tame some. With that in mind, Taichi and Luke went to the Tamer Guild to inquire about where they might find suitable fluffy creatures.

“Are you looking for information on fluffy magical beasts?”

“Yes! The more friendly they are, the better!”

“While it’s questionable if they are friendly, you can find ‘Berry Rabbits’ in the southwest grasslands. They are magical beasts often hunted by novice adventurers.”

Taichi’s excitement soared at the mention of rabbits. Being a rabbit, they were sure to be adorable. Though they weren’t cats, he could manage.

“Thank you! I’ll head there right away!”

“If anyone can tame stronger magical beasts, it would be you with Luke. But well, since it’s for the café, good luck!”

“Yes, I’m off!”

And so, they arrived at the grasslands to the southwest of the city.

Beyond this area lies a forest, and the entrance is commonly used by novice adventurers for hunting.

“I could handle this easily, but Berry Rabbits are quite quick. Can Taichi really tame them?” Luke asked.

Taichi declined Luke’s offer to capture them himself.

(Luke capturing them might end up with them getting hurt!)

Though it might be impolite, Taichi couldn’t help but think so. His plan was to sneak up from behind and tame them in one go.

As he pondered, the grass rustled, and a cute “mii!” sound was heard.

“Hm?”

Taichi turned around to find a single rabbit. With adorable drooping ears and vines growing from their base, small raspberries were hanging from them. The fur was so fluffy it was nearly divine.

“Is this the Berry Rabbit? It seems to have strawberries growing from its head.”

He thought they would be more wary, but apparently, this one was not.

The white Berry Rabbit came right up to Taichi.

(Cute…)

As Taichi crouched down to interact, the little rabbit placed its small paw on Taichi’s knee.

“Hm? Berry Rabbits are usually quite wary and wouldn’t come this close…” Luke commented.

Realizing his profession as “the one loved by fluffies” might be the reason, Taichi felt a surge of happiness.

“It seems this is a wonderful thing after all,” Taichi said, tearing up a little.

“Alright, [Taming]!”

The Berry Rabbit leaped onto Taichi, who caught it. The soft fur tickled his cheeks, and he found it just as delightful as Luke’s fur.

“Once tamed, I should give it a name. Since it’s white and cute, how about ‘Marshmallow’?”

The rabbit’s ears perked up, clearly pleased with the name.

“I have a skill for conversation, so I wonder if it can talk?”

“Mi?” the rabbit responded.

“Hmm?”

Taichi looked at Luke for an explanation.

“Berry Rabbits have low intelligence and don’t understand clear words. They might learn with persistent talking, though…” Luke explained.

“I see… Luke, you really are exceptional,” Taichi said, reaching out to hug Luke around the neck.

(Ah~~ Fluffiness~~)

“Hey, don’t just fluff me up so easily!” Luke protested.

“The lone Fenrir!”

“—!”

“After being told that, of course, I’d remember,” Taichi said, causing Luke’s tail to wag despite his embarrassment.

As Taichi, Luke, and Marshmallow were enjoying themselves, the grass rustled again and two more Berry Rabbits appeared.

“Alright, let’s go! [Taming] [Taming]!”

Taichi quickly used his skills and successfully tamed the two additional Berry Rabbits.

“So, Berry Rabbits come in various colors. The brown one is ‘Karin,’ and the black and white one is ‘Cookie’!”

Both rabbits seemed pleased with their names and snuggled up to Taichi, creating a fluffy paradise.

“This is amazing…”

Then, the grass rustled once more, and another Berry Rabbit appeared, seemingly drawn to Taichi.

“Alright! [Taming] [Taming] [Taming]!!!”

Taichi tamed three more rabbits and gave them names.

“How many are you planning to tame…?” Luke sighed, amazed.

How could Taichi resist taming these cute rabbits? He couldn’t!

And once again, the grass rustled…

“— [Taming]!”

It seemed Taichi’s taming spree was far from over.
