Chapter 12 – Setting Up the Shop

Taichi’s new property, which he rented through the Tamer Guild, was quickly cleaned and handed over. The prompt service left Taichi extremely satisfied.

With everything in place, Taichi eagerly arrived at his new space.

“I never imagined I’d get my dream café so quickly…”

“Well, it’s thanks to the monsters I hunted!”

As Luke pointed out, the funding came from selling monster materials. Taichi nodded gratefully and petted Luke’s neck.

“Thank you, Luke!”

“Hey, don’t get too cozy!”

Despite the reprimand, Luke’s tail wagged happily.

(This tsundere—!)

Understanding that Luke is secretly pleased, Taichi continued to pet and praise him, thoroughly enjoying the soft fur.

“Sniff, sniff…”

“Don’t sniff!”

“Come on.”

Taichi’s unusually high energy left Luke confused. Despite Luke’s growls, Taichi’s joyful expression remained unchanged.

Taichi eventually stopped petting Luke and took a look around the part of the space that would become the shop.

“First, I need to take care of the essentials.”

“Are you going shopping?”

“Actually, I plan to use my skill to make things.”

“What?”

Taichi felt guilty about this, but after seeing the furniture in the local shops, he found them lacking in quality. While “antique” might sound nice, he wanted to create a comfortable space for the fluffies and himself.

“I have a skill called Creation (Physical), so I’ll use that!”

Although he hadn’t used it before, Taichi wanted to make the most of it now.

“You have such a handy skill? I’ve never heard of it…”

“It’s a unique skill of mine. Alright, first, I’ll create a table with Creation (Physical)!”

As Taichi used his skill, a 3D polygon model appeared in his mind. This was probably the visual representation of what would be created.

(Wow, this is how it works…)

After a deep breath, Taichi envisioned a stylish café table.

As he imagined the table, the model in his mind turned into a real, large round table in the center of the room.

“Wow, amazing!”

“I can’t believe such a skill really exists…”

Taichi’s excitement grew as the table matched his exact vision.

“Next, for a must-have in the fluffy café, a cozy space! I’ll create soft bean bags with Creation (Physical)!”

Taichi visualized the bean bags and used his skill to create them.

“Hmm! These are pretty good…”

Luke lay down on the bean bag, seemingly pleased, rolling around to enjoy its softness.

(What an adorable creature…)

Despite being tsundere and somewhat aloof, seeing Luke like this was simply heartwarming.

Taichi decided to place bean bags in the bedroom and continued making more furniture.

“Next, I need a small table, chairs, cushions, and a shelf… Creation (Physical)!”

Taichi, now quite adept at using his skill, rapidly created furniture. He also set up spaces for fluffies to rest that were out of sight from customers.

He didn’t forget to include play areas and toys for the fluffies.

Although there were no cats yet, he made a cat toy, balls, and stuffed animals, both noisy and silent. He also added a cat tower to the wall and a stylish, small spiral staircase in the center of the large round table.

Finally, he put up lace curtains on the windows.

“Phew, I did a great job!”

Looking at the completed space, Taichi couldn’t stop smiling.

Although he only had Luke for now, he was excited about the prospect of adding more magical creatures like cats and dogs.

As he glanced out the window, he noticed it had gotten completely dark. He had been so engrossed in making furniture that it was now evening.

“I focused on the details…”

But the result was worth it.

“…So, are we heading home?”

Luke yawned and got up from the bean bag, clearly having enjoyed his nap while Taichi worked.

“If it gets too late, Shalti might worry. Let’s head back now and I’ll work on the living space furniture tomorrow.”

“Got it.”

Eager to open the fluffy café, Taichi headed back to the Tamer Guild.
