Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

"Secure the area, ten of you protect the tree," the man who was wearing a different shirt said as he ordered those men around. As he said those words he also went towards the source of the sound.

He was the leader of the team that was in charge of protecting the tree that bears the Fruit of life. Nervousness entangled his emotions as he saw three people lying down on the ground as he ran through the direction where the tree was.

When he almost reached his destination he saw another man lying on the ground and an old man who was already pouncing at him and ready to attack. He jumped sideways as he dodged Han Shin's attack. Then as he jumped sidewards, he saw some needles flying across the air and was going in his direction. He hurriedly avoided all the needles and was successful in his actions. 

Although Han Shin's sneak attack was very dangerous and potent it didn't hit him which proves why he was appointed as the leader of the camp. He then hurriedly took out a combat knife on his waist. Two combat knives can be seen in both of his hands as he rushed towards Han Shin. 

The old man was immediately startled when the leader dodged his attack. He was confident that it would hit his opponent, after all, it's a needle and it was so small to dodge and with his strength and how he threw the needles, he was sure that no one in his level could doge it. It can even damage someone stronger than him.

When he saw the leader approach him he went into a fighting position. He was barehanded as he prepared for this upcoming battle because he was not used to using weapons except for needles. 

The leader was very fast and his figure was almost blurred as he rushed towards Han Shin. The man holding the combat knife backwards slashed his combat knife towards Han Shin. And very soon Han Shin stepped back as he dodged the combat knife by a leap then as he was preparing to attack the leader performed an uppercut while holding the combat knife backwards. Han Shin chose to stop the attack using both of his palm and counterattack as he already anticipated that if he tried to dodge it he would still get caught and take a hit. 

The palm and the leader's fist collided with each other and then in the next second, Han Shin's body went upside down while his hands supported his body and the base was the leader's fist. Han Shin then rotated the lower half of his body as he kicked the leader's head.

The leader was strong and fast enough so he raised his left hand and countered the attack with his fist that was clenching the hilt of the combat knife. Han Shin used his qi and materialized it on his lower leg that strengthens the bone and the muscles on that part. The fist and Han Shin't lower leg encountered each other.

After the collision, the leader continued his attack and slashed Han Shin's lower leg. Blood surged out of Han Shin's lower leg as his combat knife sliced through the thick skin and sturdy muscles.

Then the leader struck Han Shin's face which was still in the air using his elbow. He supported Han Shin's body with his fist that was still in the air. And as Han Shin was still in the air his elbow connected with Han Shin's face but it didn't damage his face. 

He pushed his palm forward as he saw the elbow nearing his face and as it connected his body started to go back and go with the flow of the leader's fist. And then using his other leg he attacked the leader again. The back of his right leg hit the leader's head. Then he used his damaged leg and attacked the leader which hit his shoulder.

Han Shin flung back with the force of his attack and landed on both of his feet. The leader was hit on his head and shoulder as he staggered back with the force of Han Shin's attack. Both of them then stood toward each other as the other man started to surround them preparing for anything. 

A part of Han Shin's flesh was hanging on his lower leg as some of it was still connected. He gritted his teeth at the throbbing pain in his left lower leg. But he didn't let it hinder him and pulled out more needles in the box inside his torso.

He prepared to fight and checked the surroundings. He ignored the leader who was already preparing to attack him and rushed towards the other man who was in the surroundings. He knew that if he fought with the leader without distraction would only waste his energy although he was confident that he could defeat him but he was going to lose more energy in that kind of battle. 

He wants to minimize his energy so he chose to fight them at the same time. He rushed towards one of the men that was surrounding him with his flesh still hanging on his lower leg. The leader chased the man but then he saw how Han Shin easily crushed one of his subordinates.

The man prepared himself when he saw Han Shin running towards him. He was nervous but still acted according to standards. He raised his combative knife and was ready to engage in a fight with Han Shin. He took a step forward as he pointed his combative knife at Han Shin and tried to pierce him but in the next second Han Shin used his right hand as he pushed the man's arm to the side as he continued to move forward.

He then slid his arm and directly used his hand and hit the man's neck. Then he grabbed its neck and used his thumb to push the nerves beside the man's neck. He also used a little bit of qi when he pushed his thumb at the man's neck. 

The man's eyelid then twitched and closed as it lost consciousness and fell forward. Han Shin didn't care about the man's body after confirming that the man lost consciousness. He rushed and continued forward and headed directly at the other man he saw. This time the man was already prepared and was wary of Han Shin. 

Han Shin continued moving forward but after taking a few steps he felt the ripples in the air directly dodge the incoming combat knife. He looked back and saw the leader who was still running beside him. 

The distance between them gradually increased even though Han Shin was fighting while he was running. The leader knew that he wouldn't be able to catch up to Han Shin because he was not fast enough. He became the leader because of how good he fights and the cause of this is his ability, which is the eagle's eye. It allows him to have a better vision that can easily cope up with the environment or circumstances.

If he stays in the dark he would be able to have night vision but if he went and stayed under an environment that has a strong light he would have an eye that was able to see clearly. And lastly, if he had gotten used to seeing fast things, if he watched the bullet all day he would be able to follow its movements.

This is why most of his focus was not undertraining his body and making his movements much faster. He trained and secluded himself and his training was looking and observing fights and sometimes watching bullets and shooting them. He was not good at close combat but he was good at ranged especially guns. 

This is why the enemy was gaining the upper hand but because the rules that were established by the Union and were supported by the all top organization under the lead of the real leader of the Union. All kinds of guns and explosives have been banned or all of these organizations were going to focus on it alone. It is rumoured that the hidden leader of the Union threatened the leaders of the top organization in the world to agree to the banning of guns which is why it was implemented.

No one knew the reason why they ban and dispose of guns and explosives and it still remained a mystery to many. Some speculated that its goal was to lessen the power of the government and police which is why it was implemented and until now it still hasn't been confirmed. 

Before it was implemented he had been practising using guns and rifles all time and he became dependent on it which is why after this policy and law were enforced he almost lost his ability. But when he was training he didn't forget his physical abilities and also trained his body which is why he was able to at least damage Han Shin's body.
