Ancient Vampire in a Modern World

The leader did not falter at all after hearing Mia's word, he cared about his team but he was the one who caused damage to him. He knew full well that the man was not going to last unless there were healers around but their healers had long since died because of the old man. 

He looked warily and as the man in the distance ordered him he said, " Cripple that old man now, cut both of his legs." 

The man who was standing behind the old man pulled out his sheathed sword and prepared to cut the old man's limb. But before he could pull it the old man suddenly rotated his body and then as he placed his remaining hand on the ground he kicked the man's foot and tripped him.

The man fell down but he was fast enough so he forcefully rotated his body to land on both of his feet but before he could do that a palm struck his stomach. He was pushed back and was thrown away by the old man's attack.

The old man's attack was strong and was supported by an external force that was unique for cultivators. It is called chi or qi and it is a vital force forming any living entity. As a cultivator, they use this so-called qi to exert the potential of their body or anything that has qi in it. This is why the old man's attack was much more powerful than any player. In the real world, his level was already considered to be higher than super high-level rank but he was only living in seclusion thus, he does not know anything about worldly affairs and only indulge himself in either cultivation or playing the virtual game.

"Where is it I think it was around this place?" Han Shin looked through the map that he was holding which he bought on an underground market that was referred to him by a fellow cultivator. He can access this kind of market because of his status as a cultivator but it was also due to his friend. He bought a map that contains the information of where the Fruit of life can be found. Currently, there are 30 "Fruit of life" in the world and one of those can be found in the USA so he travelled from China to the USA because it is stated on the map with information that it is where he can find the Fruit of life. 

In this location, it is also stated that it has the least security than the remaining 29 locations. And he chose this because of that which is why he tried to find the location on the map. But what he didn't know is that because he had long been in seclusion and since he was a child he never involved himself in the outside world which is why he didn't look more about the organization that holds the treasure. 

It was the Silver Spoon organization and the second most powerful organization next to the Union. They control ninety-three per cent of the market around the world and they even control the underground market which is why they are the wealthiest organization but not the strongest.

Even though their force has already far surpassed the Union they still don't dare to take the position of the best organization because of the Union's real leader which was still hidden in the face of the world but the leader of all top 5 organization was defeated by the Union leader and they didn't think of retaliating anymore. 

After strolling around the forest he then looked at the map and then the camp.in front of him and confirmed that it was the location marked on the map. He hid his presence as he went near them and observed the surroundings then found that there were forty individuals in the camp. He wore a black suit and hid his presence as he strode silently on the camp. 

The night had already descended and the surroundings had already gone dark so he blended in the surroundings as he strode inside the camp.

He walked silently and avoided the sight of the guards guarding the camp. After entering the camp he saw that there were three tents and in the middle of it is where a small tree was planted. They have been protecting this small tree because it will be auctioned the following day and most of their customers wanted it after it was plucked out. The Fruit of life has a certain duration before it withers and loses its effect. 

So every buyer wanted it before it was plucked out. The Silver Spoon organization already lowered their security in this area especially since there are more valuable items than this one which is why their focus changed into something and focused their security on those. Although they lowered their security they would never have thought that someone would try to attempt to steal something in their possession. If not for the Union leader their organization would belong considered as the best and strongest organization. 

Han Shin studied the place and he found out that he would never avoid engaging in a fight between them but he tried to minimize the damage. He had already gauged their strength and knew that they could not kill him because he had already prepared an escape plan. 

Then he sneaked into the back of one of the men and materialized his ki in his fingertips before striking the man's neck which directly made the man fall unconscious. After reprimanding the man he slowly put it down then went to the next man before doing the same thing to it.

Then he went to the back of another man to do the same but before he could do it a man's voice sounded out. 

"Bro it's time to change position," a man said as he looked at the side of the tent and at the back where an unconscious man was lying down. 

"Hey bro, are you already asleep, wake up now, the boss might see you," the man then spoke again as he looked at the side of the tent and after feeling that something was amiss he looked at the man at his side who was also looking at him. They both nodded at each other and pulled out a knife in their waist. They both walked cautiously as they approached the edge of the tent and they anticipated that there was an enemy in there. 

Han Shin then bent and crouched at the side of the tent as he looked at the shadow of the two approaching men. He pulled out a rectangular wooden box in his torso then opened it. There were piles of thin needles in the box so he picked up four needles in the box and then put it back inside his torso. He waited as the shadow got bigger and bigger and the two got closer and closer. 

He then jumped sideways and came out at the side of the tent before throwing two needles that went into the direction of the two men. They were shocked at the sudden sneak attack of the old man and because the needles were so small and they couldn't stop it with their combat knife.

Then the needle directly pierced the two men and the poison in its tip spread through their body. He rolled then after his feet reached the ground he kicked and charged towards the two. They were shocked at him because their focus was on the needles but the old man had attacked again so they only have one thought in mind and that is to call for help.

But before they could speak the old man snuck up behind them and placed his palm on both of their mouths. They wanted to remove the old man's hand but soon lost their consciousness as they smelled the scent in the old man's hand.

He used poison on the needles and it is a paralysis type poison and then he also put poison on the leather of his hand. It was a potent potion that let anyone who inhaled it sleep. With the combination of the other potion, its effect was enhanced. And it became more potent and spread faster.

The surrounding seemed not to notice what happened so he hurriedly went into the other tent which was also surrounded by a guard. He did that and was going to do it another time but then he was seen by someone who immediately shouted.

"Enemy attack!!" 

A loud shout resounded in the camp and all personnel awoke then they immediately positioned themselves. They waited for their commander's order who had just gone out. 

"Secure the area, ten of you protect the tree," the man who was wearing a different shirt said as he ordered those men around. As he said those words he also went towards the source of the sound.
