American Comics: The Strongest Villain

Chapter 226: Chapter 224: Ordinary Punch Destroys the Parasite Demon in Seconds

Parasite, one of Superman's most formidable adversaries, posed a significant threat with its ability to parasitize a host and absorb energy. Once it latched onto someone, it could drain their life force and grow stronger with each second. The longer it survived, the harder it became to defeat. It was a villain that required a swift and powerful response—preferably one that could kill in a single blow.

Su Sheng had a similar ability to absorb energy, capable of even siphoning the Speed Force itself. However, he couldn't absorb life force, which is why Parasite's unique powers intrigued him. Besides Parasite, there was another figure that interested Su Sheng greatly—the Troublemaker, a fifth-dimensional being capable of reality manipulation, ranking among the most powerful entities in the DC Universe. He remembered that the Troublemaker had once appeared in Supergirl's world, hoping to woo her by creating crises, including reviving the Parasite. However, Supergirl eventually defeated both.

Su Sheng mused to himself, "If the Parasite Demon is here, then the Troublemaker can't be far behind."

Lucy Lane's urgent voice brought him back to the present, prompting him to glance at the location of the Parasite Demon as his body began to glow blue.

Whoosh!

Su Sheng vanished in an instant.

On the streets, the Parasite Demon—a towering, grotesque creature—was wreaking havoc. Despite the police's best efforts to shoot at it, their weapons had no effect.

"Everyone fall back, this is dangerous!" a police officer shouted.

Su Sheng approached just as the officer waved at him to stop. The officer muttered to himself, wondering why Supergirl hadn't arrived yet.

"Supergirl's on vacation today," Su Sheng said casually as he continued walking toward the chaos.

"Vacation?" The officer's eyes widened in disbelief. Supergirl takes vacations?

Before the officer could react further, an ice wall materialized, encasing Su Sheng and the Parasite Demon in a freezing battleground. The temperature dropped instantly, and the police officers outside stood stunned, unsure of what to do.

Inside the icy enclosure, the Parasite Demon glared at Su Sheng, opening its terrifying mouth. Inside that mouth was yet another set of jaws, accompanied by long, slithering tendrils, reminiscent of a nightmarish monster from Resident Evil. With a roar, the creature charged at Su Sheng, its massive footsteps causing the ground to tremble. It grabbed a car and hurled it at Su Sheng.

Su Sheng sidestepped effortlessly, the car exploding against the ice wall behind him. The Parasite Demon swung its giant hand at Su Sheng, intent on grabbing him.

"Too slow," Su Sheng muttered as he effortlessly copied the creature's abilities and leaped backward.

The Parasite Demon, momentarily bewildered, lunged again with another roar.

"Man of Steel. Infinite superposition, fifty times. Ordinary... punch!"

With a soft grunt, Su Sheng threw a simple punch at the charging creature.

Boom!

The punch connected with the Parasite Demon's face, and for a moment, time seemed to freeze. Then, with an earth-shattering explosion, the creature's massive body was ripped apart, starting from the point of impact and tearing outward. The energy it had absorbed from others was useless in the face of such overwhelming power—it couldn't absorb what it couldn't withstand.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Parasite Demon's body disintegrated into pink particles of energy, which floated into the air before vanishing completely.

The ice wall surrounding Su Sheng and the Parasite evaporated, leaving the police officers dumbfounded as Su Sheng casually strolled toward them.

"Who... are you? Are you a hero too?" one officer asked, breaking the stunned silence.

"Supergirl's on vacation," Su Sheng chuckled. "I'm just covering for her."

"And... what's your relationship with Supergirl?" another officer asked, more boldly.

Su Sheng simply laughed, and with that laughter still echoing in the air, he disappeared.

At the DEO, the agents had watched the entire battle unfold through their surveillance systems. While the police couldn't see what had transpired within the ice wall, the DEO agents had witnessed every second of the fight.

"Just one punch..." one agent muttered in disbelief.

Killing a monster capable of absorbing energy with a single punch seemed unreal. Normally, when they worked with Supergirl, they would spend time analyzing the enemy's abilities and vulnerabilities before coming up with a strategy. But with Su Sheng, there was no need for any of that.

"We just need to tell him where the enemies are," another agent remarked. "And we can sit back and watch."

Su Sheng, however, remained unfazed. To him, this was just another trivial task. As the DEO agents scrambled to return to their duties, Su Sheng got up and left the building. Martian Manhunter had already recovered, and with no further threats on the horizon, there was little left for Su Sheng to do.

Just as Su Sheng left the DEO, his phone rang. It was Lena Luthor.

"Lena," Su Sheng greeted, curious about her call.

"Lolita wants to see you," Lena explained.

"Lolita?" Su Sheng smirked. "She couldn't wait any longer, huh?"

With a bemused expression, Su Sheng made his way to Lena's office.

Inside Lena's office, she sat in her usual black pencil skirt, while across from her, Lolita reclined in a red cheongsam, her legs crossed.

"He'll be here soon," Lena said, hanging up her phone.

Lolita nodded, preparing to speak, when she suddenly felt an arm around her shoulders. Startled, she turned to find Su Sheng sitting next to her, having appeared out of nowhere.

"Miss me?" Su Sheng asked with a mischievous grin.
