You Are Deep in The Stars

Chapter 38 - Your Bartender Has Evil Intentions II

“Does it taste good?” Han Zhuo asked.

“The spice?” Bai Xi chewed, “It tasted good.”

“When I get the chance, I have to prove to Aunt Li that she isn’t the only one who could make you fat.” Han Zhuo smiled and helped him fill up another bowl of spicy and fragrant crucian carp tofu soup, “Eat slowly.”

After adequate rest, Bai Xi’s energy had recovered a lot. He finished dinner quietly, helped Han Zhuo tidy up the dining room and kitchen, and then said, “You should go to bed early, it’s very late.”

“I’m resting, what about you?” Han Zhuo asked.

“I just woke up,” Bai Xi replied, “I’m going to answer some emails.”

Han Zhuo looked at him in surprise: “Going to work?”

“What else?” Bai Xi rubbed his nose, “Saving the earth during the day and making money to support the family at night. Superman is like this.”

“You know?” Han Zhuo held his shoulders with both hands and said solemnly, “You really surprised me.”

“Good or bad?” Bai Xi asked.

“It’s good, but it’s a bit…” Han Zhuo thought about the words for a moment, “a pity.” These were not things he should have had to face.

“But at least you are still here, so I won’t know everything about the new world.” Bai Xi said, “It’s okay. I will adjust my mentality as soon as possible.”

Han Zhuo nodded: “Okay.”

.

Late at night, the whole city became quiet. In the high-rise apartment, Bai Xi was concentrating on his work. Han Zhuo was sitting on the sofa opposite him, casually flipping through a stack of newspapers and magazines. Occasionally, their eyes would meet, and Mr. Han would get up and help him make a cup of tea and prepare some snacks, heat a glass of milk, or send a little yellow star.

“A little more,” Bai Xi applied.

Han Zhuo did as he was told, one, two, many, many stars… The ground was soon covered with small stars. They twinkled and connected into a piece, looking like a warm bed suspended in the sky.

“Can they catch me?” Bai Xi suddenly thought.

“Huh?” Mr. Han thought for a moment, then nodded, “Yeah.”

“Really?” Bai Xi confirmed again.

“Really.” Han Zhuo said with a smile, “Try it.”

Bai Xi stood on the sofa, “If I fall, you will be responsible.”

Han Zhuo twisted his fingertips to make the little stars more closely connected to each other.

It looked like a really comfortable and warm bed—or so it seemed, and full of a dreamy fairy tale atmosphere. Bai Xi took a deep breath and leaned back with a hint of nervousness and excitement.

Han Zhuo pulled the wool blanket on one side, fluttered it open with a clatter, and wrapped him accurately in his arms.

Bai Xi smiled and slapped him: “You really lied to me.”

“Little star can’t catch you, but little star’s owner can.” Han Zhuo put him on the ground, “Do you still want to play?”

“You are not a soft little star,” Bai Xi refused and stopped playing.

Mr. Han thought about it carefully. Did he seem to like soft things?

For example, little stars.

Another example was Teacher Steve.

“Are you sleepy?” Bai Xi asked again.

Looking at his shining eyes, Han Zhuo shook his head.

“Then do you mind if I ask you something about Shi Tian?” Bai Xi’s tone was very serious.

Han Zhuo paused and sighed: “Can I repeat what I just said? You really, really surprised me.” You were surprisingly strong and proactive.

“Will he cause trouble for us?” Bai Xi asked directly, “And my parents, Chunchun, and Mr. Wang.”

“As long as I’m still around, it won’t happen,” Han Zhuo said. “At least it won’t be because of this incident.”

“I ask for a detailed explanation,” Bai Xi raised his hand.

“Wu Zigang is not willing to be my enemy, and Shi Tian is also unwilling,” Han Zhuo said. “Ten Huang Jingyuans combined can’t compare to my importance to him, let alone Wang Yuanchen. It’s not just a beautiful face. He has a powerful and ferocious superpower, one in a million.”

“What about the future?” Bai Xi asked again. “One day, he will find that he cannot convince you and Mr. Wang. What will he do then?”

“Before anything happens, I will arrange for Mr. Bai and Mrs. Bai to go abroad and leave here and Aunt Li temporarily,” Han Zhuo said, “and your teacher Steve.”

Bai Xi corrected: “Teacher Steve can stay.”

Mr. Han: “…”

Alright.

“Then will he come to you because of this incident?” Bai Xi then asked, “I mean Shi Tian.”

“He’s not looking for me; it’s me looking for him,” Han Zhuo said. “Tomorrow at five o’clock in the afternoon.”

Bai Xi was surprised and said, “Why didn’t you discuss it with me?”

Han Zhuo said: “Don’t worry, I will go alone.”

Bai Xi looked at him quietly.

Mr. Han quickly realized his mistake, so he consciously added: “Understood, even if I go alone, I have to discuss it with you first.”

“Where?” Bai Xi asked.

“Devil Wings Bar,” Han Zhuo replied.

Bai Xi shook his head. He had never heard of this place before.

“The boss is also a superpower,” Han Zhuo smiled. “But his conduct is quite bad. He likes to harass beautiful customers and deduct employees’ wages. In short, he is stingy, vain, despicable, and is keen on unfair competition.”

It sounded like it was worth meeting Shi Tian, who was as despicable as him.

So on the afternoon of the next day, the fat boss who was sorting silver coins behind the bar suddenly felt a small hurricane blowing around him. When he looked up, the diners had already fled in all directions, as if they had seen the most ferocious pursuer—oh no! That really was the most ferocious pursuer!

Seeing Shi Tian pushing in the door, the poor boss rolled his eyes and fainted miserably.

Han Zhuo glanced at his watch.

“Within five minutes, not so late,” Shi Tian said as he sat opposite him. “This place is really bad, but if you are willing to take the initiative to call me, I am still in a very good mood. It can even be called overjoyed like crazy.” When he said this, his eyes never moved away from Han Zhuo’s face, as if he was admiring a work of art, or Han Zhuo was originally his work, incredibly powerful but incredibly failed. He had no idea where the extra kindness and rebellion came from.

“Before this, I had no idea that you would be friends with Wu Zigang’s daughter,” Shi Tian continued. “Maybe you have chosen to cooperate with the Third Laboratory and decided to join the lab that can only hide in the dark like a mouse, a poverty-stricken organization that is not recognized by any government?”

“I’m not interested in you, and I’m not interested in Wu Zigang either,” Han Zhuo said as he opened a bottle of wine. “My mission from beginning to end is to end all cruel and bloody experiments, no matter which party it is.”

“Quite good,” Shi Tian nodded. “Although you still stubbornly choose to be my enemy, I am happy because at least we can deal with Wu Zigang together. I don’t know what experiments he is conducting, but at ten o’clock today, his former subordinate Qian Ning, who was shot in the head by you, was resurrected in my laboratory.”

Han Zhuo frowned slightly.

“I know this sounds fantastic, but…” Shi Tian pushed the phone in front of him.

On the white operating table, Qian Ning was sitting there. There was a blood hole on his forehead and his eyes were a little stiff, but he was indeed alive, living in a weird and terrifying way.

“I have to thank you,” Shi Tian smiled. “Without your shot, I probably would never have gotten this living specimen. Let’s explore the recent actions of the Third Laboratory. Although they are small, they are like small and densely packed cockroaches, just as irritating, aren’t they?”

Han Zhuo didn’t answer him.

“In this world, among all the powerful people with superpowers, you are probably the only one who is righteous, or in other words, thinks you are righteous.” Shi Tian took back his phone. “I’m waiting for the day you wake up.”

.

In the bar across the street, Bai Xi was checking the time frequently. In the end, even the bartender girl opposite him started to feel dizzy, so she poured a large glass of ice water and put it in front of him with a “dong” sound: “Either drink it and chill out, or throw your phone in and let me chill out.”

Bai Xi: “…”

‘Does this bar have to make a special note when recruiting the bartender? They all must have a terrible temper?’

“Or do you want a martini?” Perhaps because he was Daisy’s sweetheart, the bartender restrained her attitude. “Or maybe a Tequila Sunrise?”

“I want…I don’t know what the name is,” Bai Xi said. “Coffee base, cream, and whiskey added, should it be considered a cocktail?”

“Irish coffee?” the bartender girl whistled, turned around and took down two cups from the counter. “This is a love drink, so the bartender must have evil intentions towards you. Who is it?”

Bai Xi asked: “Really?”

“The recipe is coffee, cream, whiskey, and tears of love.” The bartender girl whipped up fresh cream. “But I’m sorry, I can’t contribute tears, so you can only get a cup of ordinary Irish coffee. Do you want more sugar? You do look sweet.”

Bai Xi smiled and nodded: “Double sugar, thank you.”
