You Are Deep in The Stars

Chapter 37 - You Are Not as Good as Teacher Steve I

After the consultation room became completely quiet, Bai Xi still had his eyes closed. He felt someone beside him shake out a blanket and cover his upper body and head.

“Don’t be afraid,” Han Zhuo whispered in his ear.

.

This was really a standard operating room. Bai Xi had never thought that he would have such an indescribable experience before. Without even thinking about it, everyone knew there must be a hidden camera in this ward, so Wu Zigang did not ignore any step. He did every preoperative step in an orderly manner. Bai Xi was trapped in darkness, and his perception of external activities became more acute. After a slight noise, he felt like a curtain was being tightened, and then a pair of hands reached over to take off his pants.

Although every step had been made clear in advance, it was the first time in his life that Bai Xi had experienced such a thing, and he still wanted to curse Shi Tian and Huang Jingyuan’s whole family. He was in a complicated mood, but he had no time to think too much. He could only tighten every nerve in his body, always alert to the changes and attacks that might happen in the next second.

Han Zhuo dropped his sweatpants on the ground.

Almost at the same time, dozens of bullets suddenly appeared in the air. They flew from different directions with a penetration efficiency double the speed of sound, weaving into a sharp and airtight net, but still lost to Han Zhuo’s adaptability.

Before Wu Zigang could react to what happened, he was pushed to the ground by a huge force. With the crisp sound of the equipment being knocked over, Bai Xi knew something was wrong, but still remembered what Han Zhuo had said before: unless he received instructions, he could only pretend to be stunned.

There was some strange noise under him, and Bai Xi quickly realized what was going to happen next. He instinctively wanted to grab the armrests on both sides, but before he could move, Han Zhuo had already grabbed him by the clothes. He picked him up in the air and held him in his arms.

The operating bed completely cracked within two seconds and turned into a dark hole, from which an eerie and moist wind flowed.

“Let’s go!” Wu Zigang got up from the ground in embarrassment.

Han Zhuo hugged Bai Xi tightly with one hand and kicked open the heavy iron door in front of him.

The sound of gunshots was getting closer and closer, and the various noises were becoming more and more obvious. The situation seemed to be quite critical. However, Han Zhuo did not give any instructions, so Bai Xi could only continue to bury his face deeply into the side of his neck and pretend to be stunned. Disguised as a woman in the cold winter, wearing only a pair of long johns on the lower body, being held in someone’s arms, and participating in a fierce alien fight—it sounded like a story told by a schizophrenic patient. But it happened that this fantasy-like scene was actually happening to him at this moment.

Bai Xi closed his eyes tightly. His mind had gone blank and he was a little panicked. He could only recite silently in his heart over and over again: after he was let go, he must quickly adjust his state and follow closely around Han Zhuo, protecting him and himself.

.

Han Zhuo stopped and looked at the dozens of pursuers standing in front of him, as well as Huang Jingyuan standing at the front, his face filled with gloom.

Wu Zigang looked at Qian Ning with his cold eyes.

“I’m sorry, Doctor.” Qian Ning didn’t have any self-blame or guilt, but acted very arrogantly. “But you have to admit for a Frankenstein like me, the underground warehouse is far more attractive than the Third Laboratory.”

“Mr. Han,” Huang Jingyuan smiled sincerely, “can you please return my poor wife now? I think she needs the comfort of her husband and the warmth—” The word “warmth” was not yet finished when smoke was already coming out of the gun in Han Zhuo’s hand. But Huang Jingyuan’s reaction speed was very fast. The moment before the bullet came out, he had already dodged to the other side.

Seeing that a new round of gunfire was about to break out, Wu Zigang decided to give up and leave the scene. He suddenly rushed to the wall on the left and jumped easily into the alley, where a black car was waiting.

“Go quickly!” Wu Zigang shouted.

The driver quickly stepped on the accelerator, and the car quickly roared away.

All these actions lasted only a few seconds.

Huang Jingyuan was really surprised by his move, because neither as a father nor as the head of the third laboratory, there seemed to be no reason for him to give up on Zhao Xiaojuan. But at this moment, the person in Han Zhuo’s arms moved. Suddenly, something seemed to be said in Han Zhuo’s ear.

Han Zhuo frowned slightly. “Are you sure?”

“Xiaojuan?” Huang Jingyuan also tried calling.

“No, you don’t need to have any contact with him,” Han Zhuo said to “her” in his arms. His other hand quickly went around the thin waist, and he strode out with the person in his arms.

“This is my wife, Mr. Han,” Huang Jingyuan came up to them and spoke. “Mr. Shi doesn’t want us to be enemies, let alone let the pursuers shoot you.”

“What was that just now? Fireworks?” Han Zhuo sneered.

“It was purely self-defense because everyone must admit that these bullets pose no threat to you at all, just like the gun in your hand cannot cause any harm to me.” Huang Jingyuan stretched out his hand and tried to take Zhao Xiaojuan back from Han Zhuo’s arms, his voice full of temptation and tenderness. “Juanjuan, I think we should talk again—”

The voice stopped suddenly, and the remaining half of the sentence was forever cut off in his mouth because Bai Xi suddenly took action and grabbed his throat with a speed comparable to a bullet. The temperature of thousands of degrees was enough to melt the iron plate. Huang Jingyuan’s neck instantly turned black, and his body soon became limp.

All this happened so fast, even the pursuers were still stunned and shocked. Han Zhuo decisively protected Bai Xi in his arms and used his shoulder to forcefully break the wall.

“This way!” Amidst the flying gravel and dust, Wu Zigang was waving vigorously—the car that just drove away was actually another car, just to hide it from others. He had been waiting here all the time.

Han Zhuo rushed forward quickly. When he got into the car, he turned around and fired a shot. Without any prior aiming, the bullet still accurately penetrated Qian Ning’s skull.

It was only then that the pursuers woke up from a dream, and they chased after him with their guns raised, but they only had time to eat a mouthful of car exhaust.

“Let go!” Han Zhuo ordered.

Bai Xi looked at him, as if he didn’t react.

“Let go!” Han Zhuo repeated again.

Bai Xi agreed casually, looking down his arm—the car door was wide open, Huang Jingyuan’s body was hanging there, his eyes staring straight, and a black and disgusting smell was exuding from his neck.

Bai Xi finally screamed in horror, and his hands, which had been numb for a long time, released with force, letting the ugly corpse fall to the road with a thud.

Fortunately, this was an unmanned and unmonitored suburban road, otherwise, there would have been a row of roaring police cars behind them.

Han Zhuo patted him on the back with one hand to comfort him and quickly sent a text message with the other hand.
