Who is Playing the Love Development Game in Gundam

Chapter 29: Chapter 29: A Good Night's Sleep

"Based on the data presented, while the legs can provide stability when stationed on the ground, they are not particularly important for the airborne warning type of Deen. Instead, freeing up the hands can offer much more utility," He Kui explained, standing at the center of the stage in front of the audience composed of key personnel from the Deen's development department, aerodynamic team, radar group, and others—individuals he rarely had the chance to see.

"Can we ensure structural integrity?" one of the leaders inquired.

"No problem," He Kui replied confidently. "The structure has been designed to match the joint strength of a standard GINN. Unless it's hit directly at the joints, it won't be easily damaged. However, since the radar is precision equipment, it would fail if struck directly."

As he spoke, He Kui placed the airborne Deen model he had prepared on the table, tilting it forward so that the radar, originally positioned at the rear skirt, was raised above the wing level.

At first glance, it resembled an old Earth early-warning aircraft mounted on a humanoid weapon, creating a rather peculiar appearance.

"Did you make this model as well?" a leader in the front row asked curiously.

"Yes," He Kui confirmed.

"Understood. Thank you, Mr. He Kui. You may leave now."

"Alright."

He Kui bowed slightly before exiting the meeting room.

"How did it go?"

As soon as he stepped out, Shi He approached him with concern.

"It went well, I think. They're still discussing inside," He Kui replied, somewhat surprised that his proposal was taken seriously enough to be discussed at such a level. Maybe he had an unexpected talent in this area?

However, he wasn't overly optimistic about it being accepted.

"That's impressive!" Shi He's eyes sparkled with admiration.

"Let's go; we should buy some groceries on the way back."

"Sure! You should take a break for the next couple of days too," she suggested.

"I'm fine."

Though he had made some progress, he preferred to keep working. It was human nature to adapt; starting again after a break would only make it harder. It was better to maintain his momentum.

"Alright, just don't overwork yourself."

"Don't worry."

Time passed swiftly, and two days later, the operation was set to officially begin.

"Congratulations! Your proposal has been approved," Sule said with a gentle smile in their office, which was just the two of them.

"Really? It got approved that quickly?"

"Your ideas were quite innovative. Of course, there are other proposals that have also been approved. We'll wait until the Capentaria base is fully constructed to begin testing."

"Is that so?"

He Kui's initial excitement faded slightly at the mention of the approval process, realizing it meant no immediate bonus for him.

"Well, since we'll be on Earth, testing will be more convenient. We also have several other proposals to test in real conditions, including the Deen's radar performance and maintenance guidance. We'll be quite busy on Earth," Sule continued, handing He Kui the test data for three airborne Deens.

One was his proposal, another had the radar mounted directly, and the last had the radar acting as a shield fixed to the Deen's arm. However, since the Deen's arm couldn't support the radar and was obstructed by the wings, the radar system was divided into two parts, which could be combined for use.

"Do we need to test all of these?" He Kui asked, surprised.

"We're short on Adjusters. You'll be compensated well for this," Sule assured him.

"Got it."

"Then prepare yourself, and make sure to get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow is a rest day."

"Alright."

As He Kui left the office, he felt a mix of excitement and nervousness about the upcoming challenges. He needed to recharge and prepare for the tasks ahead, ensuring he would be ready when the time came to test his designs and support the operation.

After returning home, He Kui settled into a comfortable routine, ready to embrace the challenges of the days to come.
