what if, you become a servant in Chaldea?

Chapter 6: 6:The clash of kingship

---

Nero looked at Charles with a thin smile filled with confidence.

she slightly lifted her sword, almost as if to embrace her great destiny.

"Ah, peace and prosperity, you say?" She said in a gentle yet authoritative tone.

"They are indeed important, but what is the essence of life without beauty?"

She took a graceful step forward, as if etching her presence into the very air.

"I, Nero, shall bring both! That is the fate of a genuine Emperor!"

Her words echoed briefly in the silence, filled with the passion of a leader who not only desired to rule, but to leave an eternal legacy—a heritage that would never be forgotten.

Charles looked sharply at Nero, his expression serious and contemplative. His stern face revealed not a trace of doubt, as if every word he was about to say was an undeniable truth.

"A true leader," he began, his voice heavy but commanding,

"does not merely ensure peace, but upholds honor and order that transcend time."

He took a step forward, his gaze sweeping the corridor as if to reinforce the principles he firmly believed in.

"If the people can live in justice and discipline, then that legacy will speak for itself."

Speaking in a measured tone that was not rushed in the slightest, his words were filled with the conviction that discipline is the real bedrock of a strong government. His belief was that the mark of a great leader lies in the unshakeable principles they leave behind, which would be reflected in the enduring stability of their rule.

Nero chuckled gently, a laugh filled with amusement as if she had just heard something utterly absurd. Her eyes gleamed with vitality, and each step she took was like a performance.

"Ah, Charles, you are much too serious!"

She said, her voice brimming with unbridled excitement. SHe waved his hand casually, almost playfully addressing Charles's serious words with a light and haughty tone.

"Life isn't solely about rules and responsibilities, but love and splendor as well!"

With a confident stride, she gazed at Charles with a wide smile, as if to convey everything with just one sentence.

"I will ensure that my people experience both—beauty and tranquility. That is what I call Nero's brand of leadership!"

Her smile grew broader, her eyes sparkling with the conviction that beauty and love were the two forces capable of transforming the world.

Charles gazed at Nero with a steadfast look, his eyes a blend of confidence and a touch of concern. His voice was low and weighty, filled with the certainty of a leader who truly understood the value of order.

"Nero, beauty without order is a precarious path leading to ruin,"

he said, his words landing with the impact of pebbles thrown onto a calm surface, as if to emphasize the truth within him.

"A leader must prioritize stability first, only then can beauty blossom organically."

He paused, allowing his words to resonate in the stillness, before continuing with unwavering conviction.

"Without a robust foundation, everything is merely a transient mirage."

Charles's voice echoed gently in the quietude, conveying the profound belief that order was the essence of all things, and without a solid base, any semblance of beauty would soon crumble into dust.

Nero's expression softened into a gentle amazement, as if she could not quite fathom the seriousness in Charles's gaze. She rolled her eyes slightly, then strode forward, her body curving with a graceful confidence.

"Oh, Charles, how utterly tedious!"

she exclaimed, her voice agile and spirited, as if she found the argument rather dull.

"A solid foundation is meaningless without soul."

She placed her right hand on her hip, as if to emphasize what she was about to say next.

"If a ruler brings only order without beauty, can we truly say the people are living?"

With an elegant flourish of her hand, she spoke as if announcing her destiny—as an unrivaled Emperor.

"I, Nero, will provide both—naturally, in a style that no one can match!"

Her words resonated with passion and belief, as if she were painting a picture of her own fate in this world—a world that would not only be orderly, but also filled with a beauty that breathed life and captivated the soul.

Charles took a deep breath, his expression slightly softening, though firmness remained in his gaze. He stared at Nero for a moment, as if carefully measuring the words he was about to say, then nodded slowly, acknowledging the clear spirit of leadership that emanated from Nero.

"Very well, Nero."

he said, his voice now calmer and reflective.

"Even though our perspectives differ, I must admit your spirit as a leader is commendable."

There was a hint of gentleness in his tone, seemingly praising Nero's unwavering determination. He lifted his chin slightly, almost recognizing the power that Nero held, yet in a way that differed from his own.

"If the people truly find peace and happiness through the beauty you bring, then that is your strength as an Emperor,"

he continued, his voice deeper and filled with respect.

"You have your own path, and for that, you are worthy of my respect."

The words came out heavily, yet also genuinely. Despite their differences in opinion, Charles could not overlook Nero's courage and confidence as a leader, which was unshakeable.

And thus his energy to dealing with Nero is decrease as he is currently feeling Hungry.

(Author:The reason I'm ended their conversation (Debate) with the defeated Charles because If they conversation going on that's not enough within just one hour or four hours since Charles or Nero themselves is a stubborn, no... They're just tooo stubborn)

Nero smiled broadly, her eyes sparkling with a joy that could not be contained, as if feeling appreciated despite their differing viewpoints. She took a confident step forward, seemingly to emphasize her words even more.

"Thank you, Charles!"

she said cheerfully, her voice filled with warmth, as if every word was coming straight from her heart. She nodded gently, appreciating the acknowledgment given to her, even though it was conveyed in a manner quite different from her own.

"Even though our perspectives may differ, I value your recognition."

She paused for a moment, gazing at Charles with a look of absolute certainty, as if to ensure he truly understood the essence of the leadership she believed in.

"As a leader, what truly matters is not just how we are seen by others, but how we actually improve the lives of those who follow us."

Her voice was imbued with conviction, brimming with enthusiasm to create a more beautiful world for her people.

With a captivating smile, she went on,

"I will persist on my path, guided by love and passion!"

Each word sounded like a heartfelt promise, full of spirit to lead her people towards a bright future.

Charles took a deep breath, and his expression grew calmer, though a heavy sigh remained between them. He looked at Nero with a gaze filled with respect, yet it still conveyed the depth of thought of a wise leader.

"I hope that our divergent paths may lead to improved futures, Nero,"

he said, his voice sincere, though a hint of doubt lingered in his heart. He nodded slowly, seemingly acknowledging the path Nero had chosen, even though it was different from his own.

"Despite the differences in our actions, I wish for peace and prosperity for our people."

He paused for a moment, giving full weight to his words, then continued with a softer tone, brimming with admiration.

"This tribute is a testament to your bravery in forging your own way."

With these words, Charles expressed his deep respect—not just for their differences, but also for Nero's courage to stay true to her own course.

(Author: meh I know what you're thinking in your thoughts, you're indeed respect Nero but you're just probably want to end this conversation as fast as you can, because you're hungry right?)

For a moment, Charles remained silent, his gaze softening as a thought passed through his mind. His expression relaxed slightly, and a faint smile graced his face.

"Ah, I just remembered something,"

he said, his voice lighter than before, seemingly trying to ease the tension. He glanced at Nero casually before suggesting,

"Since it's still early, how about we walk to the cafeteria for breakfast together?"

The words he spoke sounded simple, yet they held a warmth to them, an effort to bridge the gap between them in a more casual and friends way.

(Author:as expected of you)

Nero beamed with her usual sparkling smile, her eyes gleaming with excitement. She placed both hands on her hips, standing tall with an air of unshakeable confidence.

"What a wonderful idea, Umu!"

she exclaimed cheerfully.

"Breakfast is indeed essential to keep the energy of an Emperor! Of course, I'll come with you. Let's go, Umu!"

She strode forward elegantly, as if turning the simple journey to the cafeteria into a royal procession.

"Perhaps I'll try the special dish of the day, Umu!"

she said with a light chuckle, glancing back to ensure Charles was following her.

"Isn't it only fitting for a true Emperor to indulge in the finest cuisine, Umu?"

Charles took a light breath, with a faint smile playing on his lips. He tilted his head slightly, seemingly captivated by the unyielding spirit of Nero.

He then silently nodded at Nero, and then they're walking together to Cafeteria.
