Chapter 14: Genos’s Idea
"Oh, I see," said Kuseno.
"Well, I'm looking forward to exchanging information with you, Boros."
With the introductions out of the way, Genos instructed Boros to thoroughly explain his battle and the group's current situation to Kuseno.
......….
Meanwhile, in another dimension, a tall, muscular man wearing a cape and shades sat on a luxurious couch, studying a recent report from the Hero Association.
The emblem on his chest read Blast.
"I couldn't believe it at first," the hero muttered. "A continent flying into space… That's not something you see every day."
"To think that monsters like this could exist on Earth."
He sighed, leaning back into his seat. "I thought I'd have to step in for sure. The idea of such a powerful hostile suddenly appearing on this planet is… concerning, to say the least."
"Though, I am glad to know there's still another hero out there who can take on threats of this level. I can rest a bit easier knowing that King is watching over Earth."
The man let out a breath of relief. "I suppose I'll get back to work now."
"I'll trust the S-Class heroes to take care of Earth for the time being."
"Still… I should keep an eye out, just in case."
At the same time, Platinum S limped toward a certain location.
His movements were slow, his body heavily damaged. Deep cracks ran across his platinum skin, and one wrong move could cause him to collapse entirely.
"Almost there…" he thought. "Just a few more kilometers, and I'll reach them."
"I will heal… and I will get stronger."
"I will kill Boros." he murmured to himself.
The only things holding his broken body together were his unrelenting will to live… and his burning hatred for the alien.
......…..
Dr. Kuseno nodded as Boros finished his explanation.
The alien had mentioned everything, except for one crucial detail. He chose not to tell the group about God.
Boros had decided he would handle that problem himself. Deep down, he wanted God all to himself.
If Saitama defeated the entity first, Boros would miss out on what could be the most exhilarating battle of his life. And he wasn't about to let that happen.
"So, you want me to get you into the Hero Association?" Kuseno asked. "And how exactly do you expect me to do that?"
"That's the exact thing I was wondering myself," Boros said, glancing at Genos, clearly waiting for the cyborg to explain his idea.
It didn't take long for Genos to start talking.
"I was thinking of asking you if it would be possible to develop some kind of appearance-altering technology to make Boros look human."
"Something that could let him pass as a hero."
Everyone's eyes widened.
"You really think that's possible, Genos?" asked Saitama.
"It's an interesting idea, for sure," Boros admitted. "Doctor, would you actually be able to create something like that?"
Kuseno hummed in thought. "I could try."
"But creating a device capable of altering your entire body to appear human would be extremely difficult." He rubbed his chin, deep in thought.
Boros then came up with an idea of his own. "Would it be easier if you only had to modify my face?"
"Certainly," Kuseno replied. "I take it you have another plan for the rest of your body?"
"I do," Boros said. "And it's something I've been thinking about ever since my first day on this planet."
"Back then, I wore power-restricting armor. But it was broken during my battle against Saitama."
"Without it, I've had a hard time adjusting my strength for daily activities."
"I've gotten better at suppressing myself, but it's still a hassle."
"If you could make me a new set of power-limiting armor, it would help me regulate my energy output much more easily. Plus, it would cover the rest of my body."
Kuseno nodded in understanding. "I see. That way, I would only need to alter your face, while the armor conceals the rest of your body and serves another purpose, making you look like a real hero."
"Wait a minute," Genos suddenly interrupted. "The hero exam requires participants to strip down to their underwear."
"Armor would go against the rules."
"Boros could be exposed."
Boros looked at him, disgusted. "What kind of stupid requirement is that?"
"Just tell them you're a cyborg and that the armor is part of your body, it can't be removed," Kuseno suggested.
"I'll make sure the suit is X-ray proof so they won't be able to tell you're lying."
Boros smirked. "Alright. Now this is getting interesting."
"Let's get to it, then."
"Boros, please lie down on the table over there," Kuseno instructed, pointing at a nearby surgical platform.
"I'll start by examining your body proportions."
"Afterward, I'll need to analyze your energy levels to determine how much to limit them."
"I'll also need to find a material durable enough to withstand your power…"
Kuseno continued discussing theories for the armor, already lost in thought.
Saitama turned around and began walking out of the room.
"Where are you going, Master?" Genos asked.
"You and the old man can take care of the science stuff," Saitama responded. "I'm going for a walk."
"I'll come with you, Master…"
.......
And So, the Story Continued…
After leaving the lab, Saitama encountered King, and the two became acquaintances.
The only issue for Saitama was that he was stuck in his hero suit. His regular clothes were buried deep underground, completely wrecked along with his apartment.
Meanwhile, Genos had a battle with a powerful robot named G4. However, he defeated it far faster than he had expected, thanks to his intense training with Boros.
The fight with the alien had made Genos significantly stronger.
Additionally, by analyzing the remains of G4, he obtained valuable data, allowing him to upgrade himself even further.
