Arlo: Arlo to Blyke, Arlo to Blyke. Do you copy?

Blyke: Yeah man, I'm here.

Arlo: Blyke, what the hell is going on?

Blyke: Listen man, if I'm gonna tell you what I'm gonna tell you, your gonna wanna meet me in person.

Arlo: Fine, pick somewhere.

Blyke: Okay, meet me at your apartment in 30 minutes.

Meanwhile at the mall.

The Golden God walks in the interrogation room, looming over the booth man at 6'1 with his buffed suit, he begins the conversation with a nice head slam.

Booth runner: AWWWW, FUCK!

Golden God: Now that you know what I can do, you're gonna want to talk.

Mall cop: Get this "super hero" out of here, this is not how we conduct things here.

Keon: NO! This is government affairs at this point, I will supervise along with my colleagues.

Three agents walk in the room all wearing black suits and sunglasses.

Golden God: I suggest you start talking, what were the trackers there for?!

Booth runner: Man, I'm just an employee here, it's the higher ups I work for, they are in charge of the product!

John proceeds to pick up the booth runner and slam his head against the wall.

Keon: Make sure you don't kill him, we need what he knows.

Golden God: No, the threat of death is what gets them talking!

Golden God then copies Keon's ability and uses it on the booth guy to show him a thousand ways he could die in the room they are in.

Booth man: WHAT DO YOU WANT?!

Golden God: ANSWERS! IF YOU DON'T TELL ME, THEN I'LL JUST DO THE TALKING FOR YOU!

Booth Man: WELL THEN, JUST GET THE ANSWERS THEN, I CAN'T TALK, IF I DO I'M DEAD!

Golden God: You're dead either way.

The Golden God enters the booth man's mind, John sees him in a room talking to what looks like an armored mercenary with short green hair. A mask made of teeth for the jaw area, and body armor. The booth man then takes the bear packages marked with the Ember symbol and loads them into a mall owned truck. The memory ends there.

Keon: Hey, what do we do with him now?

Golden God: Get a body bag, he's dead in two minutes.

The Golden God walks out of the interrogation room right as the booth man starts coughing up blood. His eyes are now crying the red stuff too. He collapses, as John walks out government agents stand back in fear, for the Golden God was someone from another world.

John then ships the suit back to his house through the rocket that delivered it.

John then uses Sera's ability to head home.

Meanwhile at Arlo's apartment.

Arlo: So man what happened?

Blyke: I, so we...

Blyke recalls back to the "date" he had with her.

Rein walks out of the Limo, she is wearing Red lipstick to match her eyes, skin tight leggings in a Grey shade color. To compliment that, a shirt that reveals some cleavage, in the darkest shade of Black. She walks towards the red headed boy with all the confidence in the world.

Rein: Hey there hot stuff.

Blyke: Wow, you really got yourself ready for this date.

Rein: Yeah well you know, I thought I'd look nice for you, I wanna be eye candy to yeah.

Blyke at this point is convinced this is how she lures people into her lair, how she gets people to join her "cult".

Arlo interrupts: I don't care how you two FLIRTED, just get to the important stuff.

Blyke: Alright alright alright just hear me out!

The two stay at their picnic spot eating and talking for a couple hours, talking about home life, until it starts to get dark out.

Rein: Hey can I show you something?

Blyke: Yeah sure what is it?

Rein holds hands with Blyke as she takes him to the top of an apartment complex, they both head on the roof. Sit down to watch the Sun set.

Arlo interrupts: Wait, this happened on the second "Date".

Blyke: Yeah man, but I'm sure of it, this is how I end up as one of those crazy dudes.

Arlo: Wait, how confident are you that this girl is our target?

Blyke: One hundred percent.

Arlo Freezes, his skin chills like an ice cube as he hears that number crawl into his ear.

Blyke: You know why?

Arlo: WHY?!

Blyke: She told me about her hair, how it used to be blue, ARLO! she had Blue Hair! THAT'S what her files say her hair color was. Finally, she said something that got my attention.

Arlo: Yeah?

Blyke: She... said that she lived in New Oklahoma City when shit went down. Eight years later she remembers trying to go back into the abandoned city to get her fathers ashes, having to avoid cult members, until she got to her house, right then she said she remembers seeing her house covered in blue energized bugs.

Arlo: SO?

Blyke: Her power is a blue energized bug. An Arachnid of some kind.

Arlo: And?

Blyke shows frustration at this point.

Blyke: The government never made an effort to retake the city, They built a wall around it, guarded it until they thought every living thing inside dies. First off there is no food so these "bugs" don't have to eat for nutrients, second off, the government didn't even go near the center of the city, it was only surrounding city scouts that spotted the giant scare crows, you know the big towers of Metal with human remains at the Very top, out of reach to any kind of bug.

Arlo: They could still climb up?

Blyke: Well why is there still flesh on them still, and and on top of that, why did she give me a picture of what they look like.

Arlo: Because only she can get access!

Blyke: Exactly!

Arlo: Oh my God! We have our suspect confirmed.

Blyke: Yeah well, I'm gonna apprehend her!

Arlo: NOOO! I have some contacts, they can handle it, I swear I better not find you going near that city, leave it to the pros.

Blyke: Fine, I guess.

Arlo: Hey, I want nothing more than to do it myself, but the problem isn't just her, it's all of her followers there too.

Blyke: Yeah okay.

Blyke and Arlo part ways after.

Meanwhile at Remi's

Remi thinking to herself: Man, I know John knows I am a superhero, but I need to tell Blyke, it will make things a lot easier if we are ever gonna d-

Remis phone starts to ring

Remi: Hello?

Blyke: Hey, can you talk for a second, I got some news I need to share, I figured you're the only one I can trust with this.

Remi: Yeah okay, head to my dorm.

Blyke: Okay then, sounds great!

Remi hangs up and is waiting for Blyke, meanwhile in Isen's Dorm.

Isen: Okay here, that's all of Reins files. That will do for the day...

Isen remembers he needs to go back and find some funny pictures of the friend group, he goes to each of the schools of everyone who is in his friend group to find their pictures. He is finally ready to pack it up when he sees New Bostin.

Isen: Hmmm, that's funny, I know John was home schooled, but it would be nice to see what school he would have gone to.

Isen opens up his class for New Bostin when gets a text from Arlo. He closes his laptop and reads how the situation with Rein is updated.

Meanwhile at Remis dorm.

Remi: Oh, hey Blyke.

Blyke: Oh hey Remi

Blyke sits next to Remi.

Blyke: Hey Remi, what's on your mind?

Remi: Well, when Rei died, I have been doing somethings on my own and well, promise you won't get mad.

Blyke: I promise. :)

Remi pulls out her white superhero costume. She wears it for Blyke to show off. It's a white skin tight suit with a dress surrounding the legs that splits in two forming a cape-like piece of fabric.

Blyke: What the? You're a superhero!

Remi: Yea, you like how the costume looks?

Blyke doesn't respond, he just stares at her in shock and confusion, Remi who misinterprets why he's staring, giggles a little.

Remi: Hey Blyke?

Blyke: Yeah?

Remi: I heard about what you all have been doing, hunting down that spider lady.

Blyke: How?

Remi: I made John squeal it out for me.

The both of them laugh, however Remi knows deep down it's because she found out who John really was, and then she heard from Isen that they were doing research to find files on their suspect.

Byke: Hey Remi?

Remi: Yeah?

Blyke: Your not gonna do anything stupid, like hunt down that spider queen right.

Remi: Well what do you mean?

Blyke: Well, I get you're a superhero and all, I just thought, maybe let me handle this one.

Remi: What? No, I have been doing this for a week now, how am I gonna find Ember if I can't even take down my first bad guy.

Blyke: I, Remi I don't want to see you get hurt.

Blyke takes his hand and holds hers as he talks. Remi who feels touched starts to turn pink.

Blyke: You mean too much to me, plus...

Remi: No Blyke, I can take care of myself, besides a 5.4 beats a 4.6.

Blyke gets slightly embarrassed he got owned: Fine, then I'll be a vigilante too!

Remi looks up at Blyke, her face is now even pinker.

Remi: Wait really?

Blyke: Remi, you mean that much to me.

Remi: I feel the same way too. Hey Blyke?

Blyke: Yeah?

Remi: I want you to just make me a promise.

Blyke: Okay Remi, what is it?

Remi: Promise me, that when I come home, you will always be there, alive and well, happy and healthy, arms open ready, so I can feel warm on those cold nights, when the world decides to beat me down....

Blyke: Remi I...

Remi: Wait, I'm not done!

Byke: No Remi, I can't make that promise.

Remi looks at Blyke her eyes starting to water. Blyke takes his hand and wipes Remi's tears off her face. Remi now looks at Blyke surprised, she doesn't know what to say.

Blyke: That's because I'm not gonna let the world beat you down, or anything in that matter. I'm gonna make sure you're okay.

Remi: No way! Then you will only get more hurt, and I can't take anymore pain from this world, it took my brother, and now I feel like it wants to take you.

Suddenly she leans forward to hug Blyke.

Remi: I don't want to lose anyone else, Blyke, I'm so scared, John he's gonna be taken too.

Blyke so starstruck he doesn't even know how to respond.

Blyke: Wait, what about John?

Remi: When I was back in my hometown, I went a couple of cities over, to check out New Oklahoma, and I saw the Golden God there. He was fighting the cultists, and he kept interrogating this one guy. When I tried to de-escalate the situation the interrogator punched me. So he got his arm broken, and when The Golden God took me up to the roof he knew who I was, because he was JOHN, BLYKE! JOHN DOE IS THE GOLDEN GOD!

Blyke: Wait what the fuck?! So he lied to us? Him being a cripple was all just an ACT?! Are you even sure that this was OUR John Doe?!

Blyke flashes back to when he and Isen were fighting John during the end of their first year.

Remi: Yes Blyke, He didn't have a choice, if he became king, everyone would recognize his powers.

Blyke: So in the end, he has no choice but to play cripple.

Remi: Yeah, so really it wasn't an act, he had to go through what any cripple would go through just to protect himself.

Blyke starts to understand, starting to put John out of his mind.

Remi: THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I MEAN! ALL THIS WORLD DOES IS TAKE, IT TOOK JOHNS FREEDOM, IT TOOK MY BROTHERS LIFE, IT WANTS SERA AND ARLO TO FIGHT OVER TURF WARS, AND NOW, IT WANTS TO TAKE YOU!

Remi begins to cry a little more, her whole world is starting to shatter, no matter how much control she thinks she has when she is X-Rei, Remi has always endured the world's cruel fate first hand. Blyke puts his arm around her head, she continuously sobs while he comforts her.

Remi: Blyke, I don't care how you feel about me back anymore, because if I don't tell you how I feel, I might lose it. BLYKE! I LOVE YOU! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

She gradually starts to hug Blyke tighter and tighter.

Remi: I won't let you go, That way you can be MINE FOREVER. I LOVE YOU BLYKE, AND I'M NOT GONNA LOSE YOU!

Blyke's eyes widen at the sheer shock he's received from Remi's words.

Blyke: Remi, remember when you said to express to someone how much they mean to you, you have to use actions, because they speak louder than words.

Remi wipes her tears and starts to smile a little.

Remi: Wasn't that when you and Isen were fighting for the first time. Yeah I remember you were struggling to make those M&M cookies.

She says in a teary voice, trying to sound happy again.

Blyke: Especially because he likes the yellow ones and I ran out because all I did was eat those in front of him.

Remi: Yeah but you like the red ones don't you. Like more than anything in the world.

Blyke: Not more than anything, there is someone I like more than Red M&M's.

Remi looks at Blyke in confusion, specifically remembering what he told her about M&M's that day they talked.

Blyke: I....

Blyke gets lost in his thoughts. Scared at the outcome and guilt driven.

Blyke in his head: No, she's vulnerable right now. Save it for later.

Blyke: Uhh never mind

Blyke felt good that night, knowing he'd one day have her heart.
