Travelling To Movie World

Chapter 22: Entering The Hive

After some contemplation, I decided not to disclose the details about the T-virus and related matters. My intention was to accompany her and the special team of commandos into the beehive. I planned to pose as an employee of Umbrella, ensuring my entry with them. During the identity checks similar to those conducted with Alice and Matt, I could simply assert that my authority superseded any verification they might seek.

I think they'll let me join them eventually since they knew Matt was a cop and still let him come along. Even if they don't want me to follow them at first, I think I can change their minds. I'd rather talk it out, but if I have to, I'm prepared to use my fist against them.

As I was about to make an excuse to fool Alice that I didn't know anything about Red Queen's intention of doing such a thing but then I heard the distinct sound of footsteps echoing behind me. I instantly recognized Matt's heavy tread and turned to see him entering the scene. His gaze was fixed on Alice, his intentions clear: he planned to take her into custody, hoping to exploit her connection to the hive and gain entry for himself.

However, I wasn't about to let that happen. As Matt reached out to grab Alice, I swiftly intercepted his hand, halting him in his tracks. With a quick and precise kick, I sent him crashing to the ground, my voice firm and resolute as I warned him, ''Stay down and don't touch my people.''

Alice turned around as well, her eyes widening as she saw Matt sprawled out on the floor. The room suddenly filled with the sharp sound of shattering glass, and before I could react, soldiers dressed in black and wearing masks stormed in.

One of them approached Alice, barking, 'Report!' When she didn't respond, he reached out to grab her, but I swiftly intervened, pushing his hand away and pulling Alice protectively behind me.

I looked up at the masked soldier standing before me, and I just knew it was James, the captain of the team. Sure enough, he removed his mask, revealing his familiar face. Our eyes met, and I explained, ''She's still suffering from side effects of the nerve gas and doesn't remember anything.''

One by one, the other soldiers removed their masks as well. I recognized two more familiar faces: Rain and Medic. Both were striking in their own ways. Rain had a wild, untamed beauty about her, with a gun at her side, while Medic exuded a serious and mature air. Each had their own unique charms.

James remained silent, his gaze fixed on me. Without a word, he signaled to Kalpan, instructing him to run a security check. Meanwhile, Matt was still handcuffed, securely held by Rain. The room was thick with tension as we awaited Kalpan's findings.

Moments later, Kalpan reported back, 'Matt is confirmed as a cop, but we have no information on this one.' His words hung in the air, and I could feel the atmosphere shift. In an instant, James and his team raised their guns, all aimed directly at me.

I met their gazes steadily, my voice firm and confident as I spoke, 'You don't have the authority to access my details. Your job is to follow the orders given to you by the company, and I am here to supervise and ensure those orders are carried out.'

James studied me intently, taking in my calm and serious expression. Slowly, he lowered his gun, his thoughts racing behind his eyes. It was clear he was considering the possibility that Umbrella might have sent someone like me to oversee the operation. The tension in the room eased slightly, but the air remained thick with uncertainty and caution.

Rain sauntered up to me, a playful smirk on her lips. "You don't look like a soldier. How can you supervise us?" she asked, her tone teasing. Leaning in, she whispered, "But I'm willing to keep you as my boyfriend and raise you pretty boy." She began to trace her fingers gently against my cheeks, her touch both playful and provocative.

James stepped in, his voice firm. "Rain, that's enough. Let's go. Take them with us."

Kalpan moved swiftly to a hidden panel on the wall, activating a secret entrance. The door slid open, revealing a dimly lit staircase leading down to a basement where a train awaited. The team began to move out, their footsteps echoing in the confined space.

Alice hurried to my side, her hand tugging at mine, her voice filled with concern. "Vlad, where are we going?" she asked, her eyes searching mine for answers.

I glanced at James, noticing that he was listening intently. I turned to him and said, "Explain it to her."

James nodded and addressed Alice directly. "This is the entrance to the hive. As Vlad mentioned earlier, the Red Queen has released a sleeping gas, and we're here to investigate the reason behind it. You work for Umbrella, Alice as a security at the entrance "

Alice looked at me, her expression a mix of confusion and realization. James, ever perceptive, caught the exchange and deduced the situation. "You've already told her everything, haven't you?" he said, his voice calm and knowing.

I didn't say anything and walked with Alice towards the train and soon saw the compartment where Spence was. I decided to let Alice kill him when she found out that he was behind the T-virus attack so that Alice would completely belong to me without any burden in her heart.

As we moved through the train, I paused the time, taking a moment to search for the bag containing the virus and the anti-virus. My senses heightened, and I scanned the surroundings methodically.

It didn't take long to locate the bag tucked away in a hidden compartment. Inside, I found a silver suitcase and transferred it to the system storage.

I returned to my previous position and allowed time to resume its natural flow. Observing from a distance, I saw the group board the train. As they entered, they found the train's power was out.

Rain, ever the quick thinker, volunteered, "I'm on it." She swiftly jumped down beneath the train to investigate the issue. Seeing this, I turned to Alice and gently guided her to a seat. "Stay here," I told her, ensuring she was safely out of the way.

Once Alice was settled, I jumped down after Rain, eager to assist her or perhaps find a moment to engage in some lighthearted flirtation.
