Chapter 4: Chapter 4: Cutting the Hatred

Downey despised Hulk, but he couldn't deny the sheer power the green giant possessed.

Hulk, after recovering, was more than a match for Abomination, and his theoretical infinite strength was enough to terrify anyone.

However, Downey's hatred for Hulk remained deep-rooted—his parents had perished because of Hulk's actions, a burden the beast couldn't escape.

Hulk and Optimus Prime worked together, their frequent attacks forcing Abomination into a defensive stance.

What unnerved Abomination most was that both his adversaries seemed to be growing stronger with every passing moment.

Hulk was steadily regaining his full strength, while Optimus Prime's body was being continuously reinforced by the fire energy.

Though Optimus Prime couldn't yet withstand Abomination's punches without damage, his ability to endure and fight back was steadily improving.

However, the cost of this strengthening process was high. Downey's face grew increasingly pale, and the once-bright flame of his fire energy began to dim, but his resolve never wavered. He pushed himself to the limit.

"Hulk, get out of here! I don't need you! You are responsible for my parents' death, and I swear I will kill you one day to avenge them!"

Downey screamed, grinding his teeth as he poured even more energy into Optimus Prime, focusing on one goal: killing Abomination with his own hands.

Hulk let out a roar, snorting, as if trying to respond, though his intentions were unclear.

Abomination, now growing desperate, was visibly alarmed. Wounded repeatedly and now on the defensive, his frustration and fury grew.

He was arrogant, a self-proclaimed god among men, yet here he was, getting humiliated by two adversaries who grew stronger the longer the battle raged.

"You think you can kill me? That's impossible!" Abomination bellowed, eyes bloodshot, as the Hulk serum within him spread further, making him larger and stronger.

Hulk landed a powerful punch, sending Abomination flying back several meters. Downey seized the opportunity.

Optimus Prime, with his newly enhanced right arm, lunged forward, driving his arm into Abomination's chest, tearing open the unhealed wound.

Abomination howled in agony and kicked Optimus Prime away, staggering backward.

"You rely on the Hulk serum," Downey sneered. "There's a limit to how strong you can become. Once that serum is depleted, you're as good as dead."

Downey continued watching closely, trying to estimate Abomination's power limit, based on his fragmented memories from a previous life.

In the sky, General Ross hovered above in a helicopter, watching the fight unfold. His face remained cold and unflinching as he gave a command, "All units, open fire! Engage tanks! We need to bring this to an end!"

Betty, his daughter, who had been watching from another helicopter, gasped in horror. "Father, you can't! Banner's down there! You promised me you wouldn't hurt him again!"

The soldier hesitated, looking to Ross for clarification.

Ross, hardened and unwavering, responded, "The artillery fire won't hurt Banner. This isn't just about him. There's a new mutant down there, and I can't allow another monster to rise. I've made that mistake once already."

Ross's explanation held no comfort for Betty. His hard-line approach was evident—he wasn't willing to risk the emergence of another uncontrollable force. The mutant who had suddenly appeared,

Downey, displayed an energy level that was terrifying. Ross had seen power like this before—he had witnessed Magneto in action, manipulating entire magnetic fields and laying waste to cities with ease.

This new mutant, this "Downey," was likely a Level 4 mutant, a class that held enormous destructive potential. The idea of another being with such capabilities walking the Earth was too much to stomach.

Suddenly, a new voice came over the intercom. "General Ross, abort your mission immediately. Stand down your forces. This is an order."

Ross clenched his jaw. "Who the hell is this? And what right do you have to interfere in my operation?"

The voice responded with authority. "I'm speaking on behalf of the Global Security Council. We have orders from the top. You don't want to face charges of treason, do you?"

Ross seethed. The Global Security Council—what timing! They were swooping in to snatch his victory at the last minute.

The Hulk was his prize, and with it, the Super Soldier Project he'd devoted years to. Now, it was all slipping away.

At the battle site, Abomination was barely holding on. Downey had been right—his strength was beginning to wane.

The serum was no longer enhancing him, and the combined efforts of Hulk and Optimus Prime had brought him to the brink of defeat.

Hulk grew stronger with each moment, while Optimus Prime, though losing chunks of metal, continued to fight back.

Yet Downey himself was reaching his limit. His connection to the fire energy was burning out, and his body was wracked with pain.

Downey grimaced, blood vessels bulging on his forehead as he forced Optimus Prime to keep fighting. He had one goal in mind—he needed to kill Abomination before his strength ran out.

Ross, watching all of this unfold, couldn't stand it anymore. He needed Abomination alive.

That serum, that transformation—he needed to understand it. No one else could be allowed to claim what was rightfully his.

As Abomination fell, beaten, Downey took his chance. Optimus Prime, tattered and worn, still had enough strength left.

With a final push, Downey activated the last of his fire energy, igniting Optimus Prime's arm.

The battered truck transformed one final time, forming an enormous broadsword. With a single, swift strike, Optimus Prime decapitated Abomination.

The battlefield fell silent. Abomination's head hit the ground with a sickening thud, and his massive body followed suit, lifeless.

The survivors gasped, their minds struggling to comprehend the scene they had just witnessed.

Downey, barely conscious, smiled weakly. "It was worth it," he whispered, before collapsing to the ground, unconscious.

A distant roar of fury reached his ears as his vision blurred, and the fire in his mind flickered and dimmed.
