Soon, a large amount of supplies from the Demon Slayer Corps began to vanish as if by magic.

When Kagaya opened his eyes again, a strange, floating object appeared in front of him.

At that moment, Enel's voice reached his ears:

"Congratulations, Mr. Kagaya."

"You've become a VIP Level 4 member of the Transdimensional Chamber of Commerce. The trading permissions corresponding to your new level have been unlocked. You're now free to browse the mall and select items for trade."

"Oh, and by the way," Enel added, "the small creature in front of you is called Mobile Rotom. It's a very useful biological assistant tool and a gift for high-ranking members. Make sure to use it well!"

"Thank you, Sir Enel!" Kagaya immediately bowed in gratitude, before turning his attention to Rotom's screen.

Even though it was his first time seeing such an extraordinary combination of futuristic technology and living organisms, he felt no unfamiliarity. With practiced ease, he opened his personal information.

[Ubuyashiki Kagaya]

[VIP Level: 4]

[VIP Experience: 20,000/100,000]

[Current Points: 20,000]

"20,000 points..." A thoughtful expression flashed in Kagaya's pale eyes as he began to strategize.

He had already learned about Pokémon from Sakonji Urokodaki…

In Kagaya's mind, both the powerful abilities of Pokémon and the bonds they form with people could prove incredibly valuable to the Demon Slayer Corps. Their evolutionary abilities, in particular, were exactly what his squad needed.

However…

The cost of a high-quality Pokémon was 1,000 points, while bond evolution required 1,500 points.

Arming just one person would require 2,500 points.

With his 20,000 points, Kagaya could only afford to equip eight members of the Demon Slayer Corps.

There were nine Hashira present.

This meant that one of them wouldn't receive a Pokémon.

But this wasn't Kagaya's biggest concern.

In fact, in his opinion…

It was the lower-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps, the ones still on the frontlines, constantly fighting common demons, who needed the power of Pokémon the most.

Rather than focusing solely on strengthening the already formidable Hashira, Kagaya believed it was more critical to improve the survival rates of the ordinary Demon Slayers battling across various regions.

The strength of the Hashira was already extraordinary. Unless they were facing an Upper Moon Demon, they could handle most situations without relying on Pokémon.

Meanwhile, the lower-ranked members, scattered across different areas, encountered far more demons. Thousands of thoughts raced through Kagaya's mind.

Understanding the rules of dimensional trading, Kagaya respectfully turned to Enel and asked:

"Sir Enel, rather than acquiring rare or powerful Pokémon... If I wanted to provide each of the 450 members of the Demon Slayer Corps with a Pokémon, how much would that improve their abilities?"

"Oh? 450 members of the Demon Slayer Corps? That's quite a large order." Enel paused for a moment, then quickly regained his calm, professional demeanor as everyone's attention turned to him.

But internally, Enel was ecstatic!

High-quality Pokémon were always in demand, but even selling thousands of them didn't demonstrate his full strength as a dimensional merchant.

He had heard of Sir Leo—someone who once sold 1,000 low-quality Caterpie!

Even though the rapid breeding of Caterpie led to the emergence of talented offspring, being able to sell that many low-value Pokémon at once was a testament to Sir Leo's trading prowess.

Enel was determined to follow in Leo's footsteps.

Realizing this was an incredible sales opportunity, Enel's mind raced.

Even if he couldn't match Leo, he needed to sell as many Pokémon as possible, especially the less desirable ones.

With a quick shift in tone, Enel said in a flattering voice:

"As expected of the head of the Demon Slayer Corps! You've immediately grasped the optimal way to use your points!"

"Indeed, by purchasing ordinary Pokémon, you could easily double or triple the overall strength of your Demon Slayer Corps in a short time."

"This would greatly expand your protection range and accelerate the rate of demon extermination!"

"And the demons you capture can be traded with me for points, which you can then exchange for even more power!"

"This is an absolutely perfect strategy!"

Although Enel maintained a composed exterior, he was doing his best to shower Kagaya with praise.

With a snap of his fingers, Enel's tablet Rotom flew in front of him.

With just a thought, Enel summoned information about two Pokémon to appear on Rotom's screen.

[Pokémon: Spinarak]

[Type: Bug, Poison]

[Abilities: Swarm, Insomnia, Sniper]

[Level: 1-5]

[Average Price: 20 Points]

  ...

[Pokémon: Wurmple]

[Type: Bug, Poison]

[Abilities: Shield Dust, Run Away]

[Level: 1-5]

[Average Selling Price: 20 Points]

---

"Spinarak? Wurmple?" Kagaya muttered as he examined the two Pokémon on the screen.

One was a small green spider with a sharp horn on its head, and the other a caterpillar with a similar horn.

Neither appeared particularly powerful at first glance.

In truth…

These Pokémon were not strong at all.

In fact, the Spinarak and Wurmple that Enel presented were Pokémon rated as having "poor" potential by the trading system.

Even though, out of hundreds of Pokémon, only a few might be rated as Poor or Extremely Poor, when viewed on a global scale, the actual numbers were staggering.

Enel knew this all too well—after all, there was the legendary story of Sir Leo, who once sold 1,000 Caterpie with Extremely Poor potential. Even though the rapid reproduction of those Caterpie led to some gifted descendants, being able to sell so many low-tier Pokémon in one go was a testament to Sir Leo's remarkable skills.

Keen to finalize the trade, Enel began to explain further to Kagaya:

"Spinarak and Wurmple are both Bug and Poison types. As you might guess from their low selling price, these Pokémon don't have great potential."

"They may never reach beyond level 30 in their lifetime, which is barely stronger than the Demon Slayer recruits you've enlisted this year."

"But even though their potential isn't high, insect-type Pokémon do have one major advantage..."

"They grow incredibly fast."

"In just under two months, these little creatures can become formidable fighters at around level 20—more than enough to handle basic demon encounters."

Enel paused briefly, glancing at Kagaya's expression, and to his surprise…

Kagaya seemed genuinely excited.

It was as if he had discovered something valuable.

Could it be… Kagaya had already realized the potential of Spinarak and Wurmple? Enel couldn't help but wonder.

What he didn't know was…

Because of the heavy losses the Demon Slayer Corps had faced in recent years, they had raised their recruitment standards. This year's selection had been especially brutal, as evidenced by the fact that only five new members had made it through the final trial.

Among them were some of the strongest newcomers the Corps had ever seen:

- Tanjiro Kamado, the main protagonist with a burning passion for justice.

- Kanao Tsuyuri, the stepsister of the Insect Hashira. Also gifted in the way of swords.

- Zenitsu Agatsuma, who had survived a lightning strike that left him with extraordinary powers.

- Genya Shinazugawa, the younger brother of the Wind Hashira, with the unique ability to gain strength by consuming demon flesh.

- Inosuke Hashibira, a wild and tenacious fighter raised by boars in the mountains.

These five were already powerful enough to be considered future pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps.

So, when Enel mentioned that these Pokémon, once fully grown, could be even stronger than this new generation of recruits…

How could Kagaya not be excited?

He was so eager that he barely listened to the rest of Enel's explanation and immediately placed an order.

But Enel, determined to make a better deal, continued his sale talk:

"Of course, what makes these two Pokémon ideal for your Demon Slayers isn't just their rapid growth."

"Both the Spinarak and Wurmple can use silk-spinning moves to immobilize demons, making it easier for your Corps members to capture them for trade."

"The Poison attribute is also critical—it can continuously drain a demon's vitality, making them easier to defeat over time."

"Although demons have near-infinite lifespans, the toxins won't kill them outright, but they will reduce the demons' physical resilience, weakening their defenses."

"Given these advantages, Spinarak and Wurmple are perfectly suited to the Demon Slayer Corps' current needs."

"With your 20,000 points, you could purchase 500 Spinaraks and 500 Wurmples, enough to equip your entire corp."

"Now, what do you think?"

"I..." Kagaya's eyes gleamed with excitement. He took a deep breath before replying in a loud voice:

"Just as Sir Enel recommends… please use all my points!"

Without hesitation, Kagaya made his decision.

---

One day later...

All members of the Demon Slayer Corps who were out on missions received a secret message from their messenger crows, including Tanjiro and his companions, who were on an emergency rescue mission.

The message was simple yet urgent: All members were to return to headquarters as soon as their current tasks were completed.

Meanwhile...

Back at headquarters, Demon Slayers who were supposed to be resting were instead preparing for deployment. They each carried long swords and two red-and-white Poké Balls fastened to their belts.

And their faces were alight with determination and anticipation.

In just a single day, Kagaya and the Hashira had devised a new system for ranking merits based on the use of Pokémon.

From that day forward, every Demon Slayer would earn merit points not only for slaying demons, but also for capturing them using the power of Pokémon. Captured demons could be brought to specific locations for trade, further empowering the Corps.

This merit system could be exchanged for various rewards: money, weapons, equipment, and even new Pokémon!

By capturing a total of 10 demons, members would be eligible to receive a new Pokémon.

Though receiving a new Pokémon meant surrendering the Spinaraks and Wurmple issued by the Demon Slayer Corps, the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, who was in charge of explaining the system, reassured everyone:

"The new Pokémon you acquire will be much more powerful and gifted! It might even rival the strength of a Hashira!"

The lower-ranking Demon Slayers, already impressed by the strength of the Spinaraks and Wurmple, became electrified with excitement.

A Hashira-level Pokémon? That was a level of power they had only dreamed of achieving!

And now, all they had to do was capture 10 demons using the help of their Pokémon!

In these dark and dangerous times, everyone craved strength.

Suddenly, the motivation of the lower-ranked members surged. They knew they couldn't hope to defeat the Twelve Moon Demon, but if they couldn't even handle fledgling demons committing petty crimes, then the Demon Slayer Corps had no future!

A few days later...

As field operatives began returning to headquarters, nearly all members of the Corps had been issued their standard Spinarak and Unicorn Bug Pokémon.

Some of the luckier slayers who encountered demons during their missions even arrived at temporary "trade" bases, proudly presenting the demon "mummies" tightly wrapped in white silk thread.

---

"Today's harvest is looking good. We've captured five demons in just one day!"

In a vast courtyard, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku stood with his hands on his hips, beaming with pride as another "mummy" was carried to the backyard.

Beside him, with tears of emotion in his eyes yet a smile on his face, Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima, typically solemn, remarked with a smile, "Yes, everyone's doing their best to capture demons. I believe we're not far from completing Oyakata-sama's initial plan."

---

Meanwhile, behind the courtyard…

Two of the Kyojuro family's servants carried a still-twitching "mummy" to an altar-like platform. Bowing respectfully to the figure above, they said, "Thank you for your hard work, Sir Enel."

"Haha, no need for such formality," Enel replied.

High in the sky, Enel sat gracefully as though he were a deity, casually munching on an apple. With a simple wave of his hand...

In an instant, the "mummy" stopped moving and rapidly dissolved into black-red particles of light, vanishing into the air.

The two servants immediately shivered.

Though they knew the victim was an evil demon, witnessing Enel's god-like abilities left them in awe. They kept their heads low, not daring to glance up again, their hearts pounding with fear.

Just then, the melodic chime of a phone's ringtone filled the air—Enel's Rotom phone.

"Hmm? Tanjiro?" Enel checked the screen, seeing [Kamado Tanjiro] displayed. A look of anticipation crossed his face as he pressed the answer button.

In a flash, Tanjiro's excited voice echoed from the phone:

"Sir Enel! Are you available right now?"

"We've caught something big this time! Could you help us convert it into points?!"
