Tohka Yatogami's: Marvel Journey

Chapter 29: Aftermath

"Sorry, it's my fault that your uncle got hurt like this." Compared to the original story, the situation was much better now. As of now, Peter's Uncle Ben was still unconscious, but he wasn't in life-threatening danger.

"It's okay, I don't blame you." Peter had no resentment toward Tohka. He could tell that if it weren't for her, his uncle might have died. However, he was much more concerned about another issue.

"Tohka, what did the robber look like? Can you tell me?" Just as Tohka had expected, Peter Parker looked at her with fiery eyes, causing her to instinctively shiver.

"Okay, J.A.R.V.I.S., send me the information on that person." Without hesitation, Tohka asked J.A.R.V.I.S. to send her the information he had collected. In her eyes, no matter what little Spider did, it was never wrong.

"Understood, Miss. Here's the information on that person. Since he wore a mask, we couldn't identify him. However, there is a unique marking on his exposed arm..."

"Alright, J.A.R.V.I.S., stop going on. Just send this information directly to Peter Parker's email" Seeing J.A.R.V.I.S. going on endlessly, Tohka quickly interrupted. After all, all this detailed information wasn't useful to her; she just needed to pass it on too little Spider, not keep it for herself.

"Understood, Miss." At that moment, Peter Parker's phone buzzed. Even Tohka could hear the notification sound of the email.

"Alright, I'm leaving now. I've already covered your uncle's medical fees. I'll head out now, just remember to pay me back later." Tohka didn't wait for Peter Parker's reply, quickly activating her armor and leaving. As for the money, Tohka didn't think much of it. She knew little Spider's family situation, and she only said it to help him save face.

"Thank you, Tohka." Peter Parker knew exactly what Tohka's intentions were. "Ah, Aunt May, you're here? Okay, I'll come to pick you up."

"Phew, little Spider's fate has been changed." After flying in the air, Tohka thought about the day's events, which seemed to have happened by chance. But she couldn't be bothered to think too much about it and just returned home to rest.

The next day, as soon as Tohka entered the classroom, she was surrounded by Harry, Mary Jane, Gwen, and the others.

"Tohka, are you okay? Is Uncle Ben alright?" Harry anxiously asked, holding up a newspaper. Clearly, he had received the news early in the morning.

"Let me see..." Tohka took the newspaper from Harry and looked at it, frowning slightly.

Clearly, the shooting incident from yesterday. She had noticed the robber pulling the trigger, but others weren't so sure. Nearly everyone was criticizing her actions, saying she was too young and careless, and accusing her of being responsible for the injury to Peter Parker's uncle.

The good news, however, was that Peter Parker and Aunt May spoke out, confirming that the incident wasn't Tohka's fault. Otherwise, Uncle Ben might have died. Since the victims didn't say anything more, others didn't dare to speak up either.

"Is he alright? When I left, Uncle Ben's condition had stabilized. He must be out of danger now, but Peter didn't even show up." After reading the newspaper, Tohka looked around the classroom. She noticed little Spider wasn't there, and everyone in the class was staring at her. However, since they weren't close to her and were intimidated by the aura she occasionally released, none of them approached her. Tohka snorted at the newspapers and decided not to pay them any attention.

"Yeah, he asked me to excuse him from school. He said he's taking care of the injured Uncle Ben. How about we visit him after school?" Harry replied when he heard Tohka's question. He was also very concerned about Uncle Ben. After all, in this world, Harry's mother passed away when he was very young, and his father, Norman Osborn, was busy with his work. So, Harry often visited Peter Parker's house, where Uncle Ben and Aunt May took care of him. That's why Harry was so worried when he heard about Uncle Ben's injury.

"Okay, let's go check on him." After hearing Harry's suggestion, Tohka thought for a moment and agreed.

"Alright, I've arranged for my driver to wait for us at the school gate after class. We'll go visit him together and then I'll take you back. After all, New York at night is still quite dangerous." Yesterday's incident with Uncle Ben had given him a safety lesson, so he was now very mindful of his own security.

"Okay, we'll leave after school." After thinking about it, Tohka also agreed, feeling that there was no problem.

After school in the afternoon, the group left. Harry's driver was already waiting at the gate and took them to the hospital where little Spider's uncle was.

"Are you alright? It seems your uncle is out of the danger zone." When they arrived at the hospital, they saw little Spider sitting at the entrance. He had clearly been there all night, but with his incredible energy, he didn't look tired at all. Tohka could clearly tell that she had successfully changed his fate. As for whether he would take a wrong turn, she wasn't worried at all. Having read the original, she believed that a living Ben would have a far greater impact on him.

"It's okay, Uncle Ben is out of the danger zone. He just came out of the ICU, but he hasn't woken up yet. As for Aunt May, I've persuaded her to go back and rest. Also, Harry helped me get some time off to take care of the elderly. By the way, thank you, Tohka. I'll pay you back the money." When he saw the group, Peter Parker finally smiled, clearly relieved after a night of waiting.

"It's nothing, no rush." Tohka shrugged. She didn't care about the money. Not to mention Tony's side, her own income was enough. After all, she had recently published the second volume of her novel, and it was already in production.

"Don't worry, I've already spoken to the school and Dr. Connors. They agreed, so you don't have to worry about classes. Just take care of your uncle. By the way, I came in a rush today and didn't bring anything. If you need anything, just let me know, I'll help you." Harry generously promised, clearly wanting to help little Spider as much as he could.
