The World's most Overpowered Side-Character

Chapter 421: A Spectacle.

"Arla," Sol called her attention to himself as soon as she entered her and Dina's room. "Nervous?" He asked.

"Yes, Master, quite nervous indeed." She admitted with a nod, rubbing her arm while he took a seat in the middle of their bed.

"There is nothing to be nervous about," Ikaris entered next, resting her hand on the elf,s shoulder and smiling at her.

"Is there a reason this cannot be done after I have ascended?" Arla fidgeted while being led towards Sol by Ikaris.

"The month it'll take for adjustment after becoming a Divine," Dina answered, walking in with Jena in tow. "It's better to do this first otherwise you'll have an entire month to wait before you can safely ascend," She explained.

"Hum... right," Arla smiled at Sol, crawling onto the bed with him and sitting with her feet folded neatly beneath her. "Can it be done like this?"

"I suppose," Sol scooted closer, resting one of his hands on her forehead and the other below her breasts on her abdomen. "Now, close your eyes-"

"And look within..." Arla obediently followed the words she had been memorising ever since Ikaris first recieved a part of the divine tree. "Master, there is a strange senseaion tugging at my... mana," She paused when all that she had been feeling suddenly vanished, and she found herself staring at a dark plane where she alone stood.

"What is this?" Arla asked.

"You're okay," She heard Sol's voice boom from one ear to the other causing her to look around in the still black. "You're doing fine."

"Am I uncinscious?"

"No, you seem to be in pain, but it isn't that bad, Ikaris and Dina are using healing magic on you as well, so there's nothing to worry about."

"Okay," Arla smiled when the first sign of light flashed before her. "So, this is the place in my soul where the tree will manifest?"

"Yes, though, it may take the form of whatever you wish later on when you're better accustomed to it; it will at base still be a tree." He answered, and she watched the small light rapidly brighten while a floor appeared beneath her feet stretching endlessly in all directions.

Unlike Ikaris's Soul's Garden which was a great flatland at the core of which her tree had taken root, or Dina's which had small hills and valleys, Arla's Garden immediately began growing Large hills, they reached for the black skies like mountains shimmering at the tips with diamond-like formations.

The base of the endless mointains grew out if the ground, leaving gigantic pillars that made them seem like they all had legs, while each had a large cavern beneath them thatbegan filling with golden mana in the form of a waterfall coming from the belly of the mountains.

Within the span of a few hours, there were small trees, birds of varying size and peculiar shapes, little critters with bizarre otherworldly appearances and thousands of new species of flowers everywhere, it was a unique alien paradise, with legged mountains and glowing Golden water made of mana.

"Is it finally over?" Arla sat with her knees pressed against her breasts resting her back on Sol's shoulders after he had come in person to witness her soul's transformation.

"I don't think so," Sol replied, staring above them as great golden roots slowly began appearing from the light thathad given life to a barren plane. "It seems that was only the prologue, the main event is about to begin," He gestured above them.

The light spread across the skies, casting a sunset that resembled Eden of the Arkadian Heavens where Sol and Ikaris became one under the light, and as it dissipated, the roots took hold, terraforming the land once more as white clouds appeared in spiral patterns and a great golden tree began reaching for the endless skies. "Good gods..." Arla mused, tearing up when she felt her first connection with the new universe that had been planted within her soul, how it fed and fueled her power, rapidly transforming the very fabric of her mana.

"Master..." She turned her gaze towards Sol. "This sensation, is this how you feel all the time?" She asked, unable to stop herself from crying with the emergence of the first branch.

"Ever since I took our Collective into my soul, yes."

"There is so much life, even in a birthing universe, there is so much to see, so much to do...so much responsibility, I can't believe that Milady and Dina have been experiencing this much and still have the ability to be..."

"Normal?" Sol finished her sentence, caressing her hair. "It's not that hard, you only need to stay close to the ones you love the most, whatever we all do together, that is what normal is." He stood.

"It's time to go."

"Have we been here long?" Arla took Sol's hand, standing with him.

"A few hours in here, but outside it's been a little over a day," He replied with a shrug. "Can you manage to leave on your own?"

"I think it should be okay now," She smiled, vanishing from his sight in an instant and leaving him there standing.

"Strange new world," Sol chuckled, staring at the mountains, the rivers and clouds. "Beautiful."

"How was it, Arla?" Ikaris greeted the elf as soon as she opened her eyes. "How do you feel?"

"Nauseous," Arla immediately crept to the side of the bed. Unlike Dina's surprise, everyone was prepared for the aftermath of the implant; the room was full of runes, and Sara was on hand with several spray bottles strapped to herself, so the moment Arla hit the ground and threw up, the black goop she spat up was gone and the maid was all over the place containing the scents.

"Ugh," Arla raised the hemming of her skirt and shook her head, seeing the discoloured fabric caused by the mess being exuded by her body. "I will go to the showers immediately."

"Go ahead," Sol stood at the door with his nose covered, watching Sara hard at work.

"Now what remains is her exhibition and promotion to Divinity," Ikaris smiled, quickly exiting the room with Sol.

"Yeah, she put it off for two years, I'm expecing a spectacle."
