Chapter 132: I'm the Strongest~
Joining Fire Moth meant undergoing systematic military training, including not just combat but also various weapons skills. Usually, this training lasted months, or even a year. Due to the difficulty and numerous aspects, many were eliminated during the boot camp.
After hearing that Lee, a teenager, had single-handedly defeated all the fighters at the Nagazora City branch, many of the boot camp instructors were eager to teach the arrogant kid a lesson, and show her the power of Fire Moth firsthand.
A week passed in a flash. After setting the record for the youngest combatant, Lee also set the record for the fastest graduation from the boot camp. The instructors had nothing left to teach, and could only watch as Lee used their skills more proficiently than they could.
And those who had challenged her all became connoisseurs of Fire Moth's hospital food.
"The Fire Moth is pretty weak…"
Lee lazed in her dorm, munching on fruit. While Fire Moth was fighting the Honkai, things didn't seem too bad. There weren't too many large-scale disasters from Honkai Beasts; the common problem was Honkai disease, which didn't require combat.
But Lee wasn't planning to become a researcher, so she didn't want to worry about it.
She actually wanted to travel the world, fight Honkai beasts, but sadly, Fire Moth didn't seem to want her going on missions. Her main job was still research – being the subject of research.
A girl who could defeat an entire branch by herself was too eye-catching. Fire Moth headquarters had performed extensive tests on Lee.
With her Rapid Recovery and Honkai Resistance traits, her physical attributes were slightly different from normal people, but overall, her tests came back normal, except for higher cellular activity. Fire Moth headquarters quickly gave up on researching Lee.
A certain scientist didn't want to give up, but Fire Moth valued Lee's combat strength too much, so they simply told her that Lee could choose to cooperate or not.
The scientist didn't ask for anything excessive, just a regular blood sample. Lee wasn't stingy and agreed. If she wasn't worried about being too shocking, with her Rapid Recovery, she could give that scientist a liter or two of blood every day.
"It's so boring. Strategic coordination? All it means is doing nothing all day…"
Watching the sun gradually set in the distance, Lee yawned. It looked like today would also be uneventful—
"Beep beep beep!!!"
The sharp alarm blared, red lights flashing in the dorms. In the next instant, all Fire Moth soldiers rushed out of their dorms and towards the armory.
Lee, on the other hand, strolled leisurely toward the rendezvous point, checking her phone.
"A Honkai outbreak? It's the first… no, second time?" Lee's eyebrows rose as she noticed something. "The Vostok No. 51 Garden colony also had a Honkai outbreak, but nothing was found…?"
There was a well-known theory: when a gun appeared in a play, it would be fired. Similarly, if a Honkai outbreak occurred but no Herrscher was found, that Herrscher would appear in the future.
Maybe she had already infiltrated a human organization as a spy.
But that wasn't something Lee needed to worry about.
She swiped the previous data away and focused on the current mission.
High Honkai energy, can create weapons, powerful… The Herrscher of Reason?
If Lee remembered correctly, Kevin had joined Fire Moth during the Third Honkai Eruption. Then, Fire Moth had to have dealt with the first and second Herrschers on their own.
She had wondered how they had managed to defeat the first two Herrschers after she had single-handedly defeated most of the instructors.
But looking at today's intelligence, Lee could kind of understand. This Herrscher of Reason was only creating planes and cannons to fight with Fire Moth.
Lee had to admit that this Herrscher of Reason had a pure, unadulterated beauty, free from any knowledge pollution.
This civilization didn't have nukes or Honkai fission weapons. Fine, but couldn't she at least upgrade her weapons? These were old relics from old movies!
The Herrscher of Reason had such amazing reconstruction abilities, but it seemed she'd fallen into the hands of an illiterate person…
Whatever, let her be her stepping stone to becoming the strongest.
"Hahahahaha, you pathetic bugs, all of you, die!" A brown-haired girl on a hill cackled maniacally, her face full of arrogance. Behind her, countless cannons spewed fire. "I am the messenger of God! How dare you disobey someone with divine power?!"
When Lee arrived above the battlefield in a plane, alongside her comrades, she saw the cackling figure, showering the area with firepower.
The weapons were outdated, but their sheer numbers were suppressing the outer Fire Moth forces.
The Herrscher of Reason's endurance seemed better than that later Herrscher who kept doing sit-ups. Lee noted the countless weapons around her.
"I didn't expect them to have old anti-air guns. We can't use parachutes…" The blue-haired leader looked hesitant, but ultimately decided, "Change of plans. We'll land on the outer edge of the battlefield and charge on foot—wait, Lee, what are you doing?!"
"That's too time-consuming. Leave it to me. I'll finish her quickly~"
Lee opened the transport plane's door, smiling and waving goodbye to her teammates. "Don't worry, I'm the strongest~"
The next instant, Lee jumped out of the plane.
After a long silence in the cabin, someone hesitantly said, "Didn't she forget her parachute?"
