Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Unexpected Reward - The Rabbit Talisman (Part 2)
"F***!!!"
"We've been targeted!!"
Bob, the leader of this group, had been a mercenary in his early years before coming to New York to work for Kingpin.
Trafficking minors was one of Kingpin's many businesses.
Bob never imagined that someone would dare to mess with the underground king of New York, Kingpin!
He stuck a selfie stick with a phone attached out the window.
Bang! Almost simultaneously, a hole was blown through the phone on the selfie stick!
"How many of them are there?!!!"
"Boss, it's just one guy!"
"What?! Just one?!"
"Then why are we hiding? Let's go down together and take him out!!"
"But, boss, he's already coming up!"
Bob's pupils contracted as he saw a figure in a trench coat standing at the stairwell.
He looked like a member of the Peaky Blinders from Peaky Blinders.
"Don't be afraid! We have the numbers!"
"He only has two guns. He can't have that many bullets!"
With that, the group opened fire, spraying bullets at Peter like they were free.
Facing this onslaught, Peter didn't dare to be careless.
He rolled continuously.
Bullets whizzed past him, but none could hit him!
"What the hell?! How can someone be this agile?!"
Peter wasn't just dodging. While rolling, he kept shooting!!
One by one, Bob's companions fell to the ground, dead.
"F***!!!"
"He's a devil! He's fired over twenty shots! How does he still have bullets?!!"
Bob was completely stunned, unable to believe what he was seeing.
By the time he realized what was happening, he was alone. Everyone else was dead!
Terror gripped Bob's heart.
He threw his gun to the ground and begged in a trembling voice,
"Don't… don't kill me!!"
"Kingpin is my boss. If you mess with him, you're dead!!"
Bob knelt on the ground, using the most humble tone to deliver the fiercest threat.
Peter didn't bother wasting words on such a small fry.
He raised his arm.
The bullet left the chamber, ending Bob's life of crime.

…
Peter put on his mask and expertly searched the bodies for wallets.
This time, the haul was substantial. The accumulated points were enough for him to exchange for Spider-Sense, and he also got over $800 in cash from the criminals.
Peter had already decided how to spend the money—on a new trench coat.
He opened the door to a bedroom.
Inside, he saw over a dozen young girls huddled in the corner, terrified by the gunfight.
The oldest looked no more than eighteen.
"Ladies, congratulations on your freedom."
"I hope the bodies outside don't scare you too much. Goodnight."
…
Half an hour later, Peter had changed back into his regular clothes and appeared at the subway station. It was already 8 p.m.
He needed to catch the next train back to Queens and should be home by 11 p.m.
He had school tomorrow…
Peter let out a long sigh. He really had no patience for waiting for the train.
Oh well, might as well exchange for Spider-Sense now.
He opened the points store.
Thanks to the first-purchase discount, the Spider-Sense, originally priced at 20,000 points, was now available for just 2,000 points.
Exchange!

Peter held the talisman in his hand, feeling a bit dazed.
This thing exists too?

With the Rabbit Talisman, how am I any different from the Flash?!
Peter walked out of the subway station, feeling a little excited.
Activating the Rabbit Talisman's power, everything around him seemed to slow down.
A bird in flight appeared to hang motionless in the air.
Leaves falling from a tree froze mid-air.
It wasn't that time had stopped—it was that Peter's speed had increased!
Peter glanced at his phone.
20:12:05
Peter started running, sprinting all the way from the New York suburbs back to his home in Queens!
He checked the time again.
20:12:08!!!
Three seconds. In three seconds, Peter had run who knows how many kilometers!
Peter tiptoed upstairs. Tonight had been incredibly fruitful.
He had exchanged for Spider-Sense and obtained the Rabbit Talisman.
His chances against the Rhino had just increased significantly.
Originally, Peter had planned to prepare a bit more.
But now, it seemed unnecessary!
Even without the system's mission, he had no intention of letting the guy who hurt Gwen off the hook.
Tomorrow morning, he'd ask George about the Rhino and see if there were any leads.
If there were, then tomorrow night would be the Rhino's last.
After washing up, Peter lay in bed and opened the points store again.
The store had refreshed.
