The System Won't Work Unless I Have Girlfriends

Chapter 65: Chapter 63

(Masamune pov)

June 8th 2013

It's been about two weeks.

After some time, Kaguya seems to have gotten used to the idea that Chika and I are a couple. However, she's now keeping some distance from me. Kaguya is still a young lady from a prominent family, so she might think it's inappropriate to be as close to me as she was before.

Anyway, with the final exams for the first semester approaching, I decided to gather the smartest students so I could study using their notes. But I think she more than enough.

"I refuse," Kaguya said curtly.

When school was over, I hurried to the front of the classroom where Kaguya was seated. Actually, I wasn't alone.

"Kaguya-san, please! If it's too much to help both of us, at least teach me alone," Chika begged.

Chika, standing beside me, betrayed me with a sly smile. Meanwhile, Kaguya gave me a look of pity.

Kaguya sighed. "I'm surprised that you two are this stupid. Then again, it's not surprising you'd struggle to study just three days before the exams. How did it get to this point? Why are you neglecting your studies?" she asked.

At this, Chika looked away, whistling innocently—though no sound came out.

"It's his fault," Chika said with a cheerful smile.

"Huh? Explain." Kaguya turned to me with a questioning look.

But instead of elaborating, Chika sighed. Then, her face turned bright red. She leaned closer to Kaguya and whispered in her ear.

"I tried to study at his house, but we ended up playing games... and then, well... we had sex until morning."

Unfortunately, I overheard what Chika said, clearly.

"Wh-what?! Huh?" Kaguya's face turned bright red, her eyes trembling in shock. "S-Se-Sex?" she stammered, covering her mouth. In a hushed tone, she continued, "You mean you two… kissed? Are you insane? Wh-what if you get pregnant?!"

"…"

Both Chika and I froze momentarily. How does someone get pregnant from just kissing? Hold on…

Seeing Kaguya so flustered, Chika smirked, clearly thinking the same thing as me.

"That's correct, Kaguya-san. Look…" Chika pulled her uniform collar to the side, revealing faint red marks around her collarbone. "At this rate, he won't let me study, right? So please take me with you."

Kaguya glanced at me, her eyes full of judgment as if deciding whether I was human or trash.

"Okay, fine. Come with me, Fujiwara-san," she said and give me a little glare.

With their bags in hand, Kaguya grabbed Chika's arm and dragged her toward the exit. She was probably planning to take Chika away for a few days. Feeling my gaze,Chika looked back, smirked smugly, and gave me her middle finger.

She needs correction later.

I decided to study alone later with my "one-night-stand" study plan before the exams. I mean, Chika is right. Whenever we're alone, things tend to go... off track.

Looking around, I realized I was the only one left in the classroom. I grabbed my bag and walked out. Strolling through the school hall, I eventually reached the exit of the school building. When I arrived at the school parking lot, I noticed a black sedan I was familiar with.

Opening the back seat, I slid into the left side. Sitting on my right was a woman in a black suit.

"Good afternoon, sir," Nishimiya Yaeko greeted respectfully.

I nodded as I shut the car door. "Good afternoon. We'll head straight to my grandfather's house."

Both the driver and Yaeko responded in unison, "Understood."

After a while, we were cruising down the highway toward Chiba.

"This is everything you asked about Tenjo Yuuya, sir."

As I took the file, I said, "Well done." I nodded at her and placed it in my bag. I'll read about what the other guy has been up to and see if he really transmigrated like I did six years ago. Let's find out if he's a threat to my business.

"I think this will be my last time serving you as a secretary, sir," Yaeko said with a meek smile.

"Mrs. Nishimiya, you sound very sentimental for someone who's about to become a CEO."

Her stoic expression softened with a faint smile. "It's only natural. After all, working for you has been the most delightful experience of my career. I think we're all grateful to you," she said as the driver glanced at me through the rearview mirror, also smiling.

"If you feel that way, it's my honor as well," I replied.

Yaeko had agreed to become the CEO of the Hayase Group. After managing the company for a year, I had managed to stabilize it. My former family, the Hayase Group, owns a large chain in the service industry, including hotels and resorts. Under my leadership, the company would soon expand into luxury cruise ships sailing around the world.

This is the reason why every employee in the company has such blind trust in me.

Before long, we arrived at my grandfather's house, a traditional residence where I used to live before moving to England. Standing at the entrance, my grandfather was wearing a black hakama. Considering it was almost summer, I couldn't help but wonder how he didn't feel hot.

Grandpa chuckled. "Just take over the company already, you punk. I can't be your puppet forever."

Hearing this, Yaeko giggled softly, but I just sighed. "The government won't allow it yet. I need to be 17 years old to officially run a company, so... sorry. By the way, how was your holiday in Monaco with Grandma?"

"This brat. Well... it was nice, thank you for asking."

After a while...

"Nishimiya, I wish you luck," Grandpa said.

"Thank you, Hachiro-sama," Yaeko replied respectfully.

"Now that we're done, why don't you chat with my wife while I talk to Masamune?"

Yaeko nodded and left us. Grandpa and I ended up playing shogi, the traditional board game similar to chess.

"When I met the old boys in Monaco, do you know how scared they were when they heard you're returning to Formula One this year?" Grandpa asked with a smirk.

I chuckled. "Really? Well, that might be true."

What I did was acquire a 30% stake in the Mercedes F1 team. While the team won't be world champions this year, starting next year, we'll dominate with the new hybrid power unit era. Seven years of supremacy in the future is precisely why I've come back.

"Well, that's enough. Let's stop talking business. I want to talk to you as my grandson after so long."

"Uh... sure," I replied.

To be honest, I spend most of my time on work, school, my mom, my annoying sister, and, of course, the girls. As a result, I've spent less time with him than I used to.

"For starters, did you take care of Chizuru like I told you?" Grandpa asked.

Straight to being a doting grandfather.

"Yeah. After becoming our ambassador for the resorts and cruise ships, she landed a lead role in a horror movie. I didn't set it up; I just gave her a little push. Thanks to her talent, her career has taken off on autopilot."

Grandpa nodded approvingly, clearly proud of Chizuru.

"How's Chinatsu?" he asked.

"She's doing great in the student council, and I think she'll run for president in the next election. She has good friends too. Right now, she's just enjoying being a kid. I don't burden her with my work, even though she's my sister. But since she uses Father's family name, everyone assumes we're cousins."

Grandpa hummed thoughtfully. "I don't understand why she does that, but it's good to hear she's doing well. So, when will you introduce your girl?"

I froze mid-move, my hand hovering over the shogi board. "Chika? Uh, um, sure. I'll arrange it during the summer break."

He nodded. "Good. Invite the Fujiwara family over, and tell Chizuru to come too. I want to hear how you're treating her now that she's your woman."

Your woman? Slowly, I lifted my gaze from the shogi board to Grandpa's face. "Gramps… what do you already know?"

"Quite a lot. I'm still impressed you managed to bring your cousin along while dating another girl. You're making things clear between your women, right?"

So, he knew everything? I mean, Chizuru specifically told me not to say anything to Grandpa or Grandma Sayuri yet. It seems I underestimated him... a little.

"Chika is fine with me dating her sister, and Chizuru is too. I don't know. She's just a strange girl."

Grandpa laugh, "HAHAHA! Good good."

"Huh?" I stared at Grandpa in disbelief. "You're not angry?"

He sighed. "I'm the one who raised you, so I trust you'll handle it. Besides, I want at least 12 great-grandchildren before I die."

What the heck? That's such an unrealistic number!

"And most importantly," he added with a serious tone, "my grandson, are you winning?"
