The Strongest Brain in the Interstellar

Chapter 36 - Speculation

Finally, it’s time to go out!

After closing her light brain, Jiang Hui let out a long breath.

Thinking about it, she realized that since arriving in this world, she hadn’t officially gone out once. She had only seen some scenery on her way back from the hospital and knew nothing about the real customs and culture of the interstellar world.

After cramming for a few days on information and knowledge, Jiang Hui was no longer the clueless little quail she had been a few days ago and had started to take an interest in this new world.

She could take the opportunity to visit the Hailusi Group and see the outside world, helping her better integrate into this place.

She looked at the invitation letter sent by Andy from the Hailusi Group and was somewhat surprised.

The other party was quite efficient; the appointment was set for tomorrow morning, and they even provided her with an option to change the time. If she happened to encounter a minor mishap at that time, she could reschedule once.

This consortium may be black-hearted, but it is still a large enterprise, and they had some protocols in place. Overall, it was considerate.

Although Hailusi had already agreed to the compensation plan and had taken a relatively low-key approach, the aggressive message they had sent earlier left Jiang Hui with an extremely negative impression. Coupled with Andy’s ambiguous reminder, she naturally had to be more cautious.

Now, she was a bit troubled about where to find a reliable interstellar lawyer. In her impression, this type of profession in Blue Star typically had a long recruitment cycle and couldn’t just be hired temporarily. Moreover, even if she could find one, she was vaguely concerned about the other party’s professional ethics.

Thinking that searching for one on her light brain might take some time, Jiang Hui decided to call the hotline for the Awakeners’ Association for assistance, as previously suggested by Pharmacist Xu Jia.

The association was quite reliable and immediately recommended several interstellar lawyers with extensive experience in this field.

All of these lawyers were registered practitioners on the platform and were well-experienced. After browsing through their profiles, Jiang Hui was very satisfied and ultimately contacted a friendly-looking young female lawyer who matched her needs and offered good value for money.

After understanding her situation, the lawyer enthusiastically stated that she could take on the case immediately and arranged a time for them to go to Hailusi Group together. She also reassured Jiang Hui that this case, which could hardly be considered a basic one, was extremely simple and that she would be able to handle it efficiently, encouraging her not to worry.

Jiang Hui was once again shocked by the work efficiency of interstellar people. What a highly efficient and worry-free world this is!

She had only been here for a few days, and every time she sought help from social agencies, it had almost gone smoothly, with issues being resolved almost instantly.

The following tasks were quite simple. Jiang Hui took some time to check how far Hailusi Group’s headquarters was from her location, noted the mode of transportation she would need, and then roughly organized the items she needed to bring along and the clothes she would wear.

With that, she felt accomplished. Tomorrow, she just needed to go according to plan for the appointment.

Great! It seemed that her adaptation to this new world was progressing in an orderly manner, and she believed she would soon be able to integrate into this world.

So, she decided to go to bed early tonight to rest and recharge for the next day. Jiang Hui hadn’t forgotten that she hadn’t slept for two consecutive days, and she was somewhat worried about her lack of energy.

Therefore, she was particularly cautious when taking the stabilizers later on. Fortunately, this time, there were no issues with her dosage, and she could clearly feel her mental energy was much more active.

However, Jiang Hui soon realized that she might have relaxed a bit too early.

She found herself once again in that strange space, and a feeling of “I knew it!” naturally arose in her heart.

This was already the third time she had appeared here.

This space, where time seemed to have stopped, was taking the form of her home on Blue Star, blatantly revealing that it was hiding a monumental secret. No matter how carefree she was, Jiang Hui would not think of this place as a dream anymore.

Every time she fell asleep, she would enter this space, and whenever she entered, she could not control when to wake up—

Where exactly was this? Was it her dream or a mental realm? Jiang Hui had no way of knowing. However, there was one thing that needed to be verified urgently.

As she calmly settled into this space, Jiang Hui’s first instinct was to look at the clock on the wall.

It was exactly twelve o’clock—which meant she had arrived here at midnight.

Jiang Hui turned her gaze back, calmly shifting to the familiar living room. This time, she was no longer anxious. After all, this space was based on her home on Blue Star, the place she was most familiar with, even more so than her home in the interstellar world. How could she feel anything but at ease?

Her speculations needed to be verified, and they required time for that verification. So for now, she would focus on her own tasks.

What should she do? Jiang Hui began to wander around in the familiar space again, looking around as if she were truly in her own home.

Eventually, she seemed to unintentionally walk over to the mutated computer, but suddenly, something caught her attention—a thing that shouldn’t be here.

Not long ago, she had flipped through it all night.

How did her father’s military memoir end up here? She remembered that she hadn’t materialized this object when she arrived. How did it get here? Did it just appear out of nowhere?

Jiang Hui felt a bit puzzled as she picked up the leather-bound book. When she opened it and her eyes fell on the words on the first page, her gaze immediately sharpened.

What… what’s going on? How could there be words on this book?

She quickly flipped through a few more pages and, looking through them one by one, found them filled with words that made sense and had a coherent logic. Jiang Hui was quite familiar with this; it was the military memoir she had been able to recite after reading it yesterday.

Wait, why is this thing treated differently?!

She thought about how she hadn’t been able to manifest any of her other precious books, yet this one had appeared without any intention from her.

Is it possible that items from the Blue Star world are not allowed to appear here? But then what explains all the Blue Star items in this room? Jiang Hui was truly at a loss.

She felt a wave of headache coming on. There were too many questions, from the attributes of this space to those of the other space… Each one required speculation and exploration. Jiang Hui felt her little head was struggling to handle such a storm of thoughts.

As she thought about this, she actually started to feel a bit drowsy and tired. She hadn’t felt this way even after a whole night of insomnia last night.

Jiang Hui thought that if someone told her her insomnia was because she had slept enough in this space, she might actually believe it.

Uh, it shouldn’t be that absurd, right? Jiang Hui felt a bit uncertain.
