The Speed Of The Stars

As the race is set to begin. Keqing Radios to the base of Jinren that there's another race about to happen. Spectators were then informed that the race is between Ganyu's S2K and Collei's Eight Six. Spectators leaving soon came back to watch the race unfold.

Silverwolf looks at the uphill "Rain. And a downhill battle. Looks like this is going to be an intense one. But i have that feeling that the eight six is going to win this one."

Yelan walks over to the cars and stands right in between both cars in the road. She then raises a hand. Beginning the Start procedure." Alright! We're gonna start the countdown!

The engines begin to rev. Waiting for Yelan to drop both her hands and signal go.

-4!

-3!

-2!

-1! 

"GO!" Yelan drops both hands and both cars launch off the start line. 

The Eight six has a bad start and immediately looses the lead from Ganyu heading into the first fast right hander, it is then followed by a left hairpin turn. Collei starts sliding into the second turn at lightning speeds. March then looses her balance and starts bouncing around the rear seat. Collei swiftly drifts through the corner but the gap continues to increase from Ganyu,

Back in the start. Beidou's worries starts to show "Damn the luck. That S2K Has taken the lead.

Seele puts a hand on Beidou's shoulder "Don't you get it?"

Beidou looks at Seele and scratches her head "No?"

Amber Smirks, then crosses her arms "Its simple. Remember Amakane?"

Beidou nods. "Yeah?"

Amber then explains "Collei chose to fall back before the first corner, so she can learn Ganyu's style of driving. Just like how Collei chose to chase Eula on her race against her."

Beidou's fingers snap "Oh! So Collei's going to learn her style." She then facepalms.

Collei and Ganyu reach the next hairpin turn. Clearly Ganyu leads and drives through the hairpin with ease. Collei starts drifting before the corner and hooks the inside line and goes wide on the exit. Carrying great speed through the corner. She starts closing the gap ever so slightly. Inside the Eight six. March continues to shift from one side to another, desperately trying to find something to hang on.

At the summit. Keqing makes a phone call to Ningguang. She picks up the phone quickly

Keqing then puts the phone in her ear. The speaker crackles "Hey Keqing. Nice to hear from you. Congrats on your win a while ago"

"Thanks Ningguang. I will be home a bit later than usual. Ganyu challenged the Eight six into a Downhill battle here in Jinren " Keqing says

The speaker crackles "A Downhill battle in the rain huh? Didn't expect that from Ganyu."

"You should see her face Ningguang. She's confident as all hell." Keqing scoffs

"Well. Keep me posted Keqing. I'll talk to you later" The phone then hangs up.

Keqing then puts her phone in her jacket pocket and pulls out a cigarette. "I know you're only interested in the Eight Six Ningguang. 

In the race. Ganyu reaches another hairpin turn and goes into it at a fast pace. then suddenly her rear end starts fishtailing and loosing grip. Ganyu sees this and starts finessing her foot on the gas pedal to gain more grip on the rear. This works and the fishtailing stops. But she lost a handful of time on the hairpin 

"Look at that S2K Go! Seems like she's fast in these wet conditions" A spectator said.

"That's a tricky thing to do. Especially on wet sludge like here" Another spectator said.

Then. Collei's Eight six arrives at the Hairpin and executes a perfect four wheel drift at lightning speeds. In a moment's time, The eight six exits the hairpin and enters into another corner. Everyone is in an awe at what they just witnessed

"That Eight six is something Else!"

"She's drifting like there's no rain at all!"

"She has the guts! She has skill!"

Inside the Eight Six. March is in awe on how focused Collei is when racing

She speaks in her mind "She's like another person when she's racing. Despite me screaming and yelling here in the back. She's undisturbed behind the wheel. Who are you really!? Collei or some robot!?"

"She then looks outside. "Its pitch dark there. Almost like we're driving through a black hole. How is she driving in these kind of conditions!? Especially in a course she's unfamiliar with!?

Then. The speed limit Chime starts making a Ding Dong noise.

She hears the chime "That chime. We are travelling beyond 100 Kilometers per hour!"

Then the next corner appears from the darkness "And we're heading for the next corner!"

March braces herself. She's then ragdolled across the seat. One side to another, As Collei pulls of a perfect drift right through the corner.

Collei smirks "Time to add the pressure."

March's eyes widen "Add the pressure!? What is she been doing this entire time!?"

Then Collei increases her pace. Putting her foot all the way to the floor. The Eight six Jolts forward's gently. And the speed increases faster and faster.

As the rain intensifies. Ganyu starts getting ahead of herself. As she thinks her lead has dramatically grown 

She smirks "I feel good about this. I'm in the zone! I'm going to be the one to finally defeat that Eight Six! You don't need to race Ningguang Ms. Eight Six of Yougou. You're mine!"

Suddenly. High beams reflect off her rear view mirror. She then glances over it Her jaws suddenly drop. The Eight six is suddenly right behind her, as they race down the straightaway.

Her eyes widen "How is that possible!? She Caught Up? In the Rain!? There's no way!"

She then starts looking around her car's dashboard "Is there something wrong with my car!? This is impossible! Why does it feel slower than before!?"

She then focuses on the road. "We still got a few corners. Keep Up!"

She then floors the gas. The car jolts forward but not any faster as the eight six keeps its pace. Then they reach right hand corner. Ganyu's S2K starts fishtailing once again and starts going wide. But Collei sees that the gap is too narrow to overtake and continues to tail Ganyu as close as possible. The race is intensifying as they are getting closer and closer to the finish line.

As they reach the next Hairpin. Ganyu slams on the brakes. Collei quickly follows. The two enter the hairpin, But Ganyu starts to go wide again. Her tires aren't gripping like they used to. Collei sees the gap and Goes for it. She slams on the gas. The eight six jolts forward.

Ganyu looks to the right "No way! She's beside me!"

But as soon as she blinked on the exit. The Eight six passes her S2K easily, like its on rails, gripping the wet road like its dry.

"That's Crazy! Did you see how she made that corner look!?" A spectator said.

"She Gripped the corner like its a dry road!" Another spectator says

Ganyu is in disbelief as the Eight Six's Lead continues to grow on each corner "I cant keep up! Her lead keeps increasing at every damn turn!"

Collei's gap from Ganyu continues to grow. To the point even if Collei messes up at the final corner. She'd still win. The Race is over. Collei wins against Ganyu's Impromptu challenge.

The radio of Yelan crackles "The Race's over! The Eight Six Won!"

Yelan then approaches Keqing's Window. She rolls the window down.

"The race is over. Your gal lost." Yelan mutters.

Keqing Nods Silently. Yelan then walks to her Blackbird and drives off

Keqing then Leans forward from her seat "I knew she'd loose... It doesn't matter if its in rain or snow. That eight six is going to win. But i know that Ningguang would win that race in two days time."

At the summit. Words spreads quickly Spectators speak are already speaking about it

"That was crazy! The Eight six won against the S2K!"

"No Kidding. That girl in the eight six is something else!"

Beidou, Seele, Pela And Amber looks at each other

"Looks like that's another win on Collei's rap sheet" Amber said.

"No kidding. Even on the rain. She can win" Beidou looks at the skies

"Well. At least this is good practice for the upcoming race against Ningguang" Pela Said.

Amber then starts walking to the parking lot. "Well. Lets head home. We've seen enough"

The others then follow suit. Heading for Amber's sileighty.

The night of two battles officially comes to an end. Two Victors. But from two different Area's of the Narukami Prefecture.
