The Speed Of The Stars

The race is about to begin. Turbo versus turbo. Front engine, Rear wheel drive. Versus. Rear engine. Rear wheel drive.

Silverwolf puts her functioning hand up "Alright! We're gonna start the countdown!"

The two cars start revving their engines 

-5!

-4!

-3!

-2!

-1!

"GO!"

Silverwolf puts her hand down and the two cars launch off the start line both cars Quickly launch off. But Yelan quickly grabs the lead from Keqing thanks to the weight and power advantage on the Blackbird's now 400 Horsepower Flat Six engine.

"Look at them Go! that's one helluva start from Yelan!" A Spectator says out loud

"I Know you're gonna win this Keqing. Don't let your emotions get the better of you!" Ganyu said in her mind.

"Dont loose this one Yelan... You detuned your Blackbird for a reason. And that's to win." Silverwolf mutters to herself

The two cars race into the first corner. And Yelan keeps the lead from Keqing. With her trailing behind the Blackbird as fast as her.

At Ningguang's home in Araumi. She peeks out the window.

"Rain.. The Blackbird's worst enemy. And Keqing's Best friend.

At the Rest area awaiting for the two cars to pass by. Amber Strikes a conversation with Collei.

"So, Collei? What do you think of Jinren Pass?" Amber said

"Its pretty similar To Yougou pass if you ask me. Fast Corners with a mix of Sharp but wide Hairpins. But, the closest to Yougou seems to be Amakane Pass if you ask me."

Amber giggles a little "Amakane Pass? Seriously? That course is a rally stage! Its nothing like Yougou Pass!"

The two Laugh as they await the race to come to them. 

Back in the race. They already passed a couple of hairpins and corners already. But the positions stay the same. Yelan leads in the Blackbird, followed by Keqing's RX7 Close by.

"With the Blackbird's detuned engine. The Car doesn't want to slide anymore when on the gas. This now makes this car. The Traction Master!" Yelan mutters

She continues on. "But that FD is much quicker than me On the hairpins. Very impressive Keqing. You're able to follow me this close for this far on my home turf" 

The race starts getting intense as they reach the halfway mark. They reach a hairpin. Keqing's speed into the hairpin is something of its own. But Yelan manages to block the Exit Apex to avoid Keqing from sliding underneath her.

One of Ningguang's spotters watch them pass by and reports to Ningguang "They just passed the halfway mark. The FD Is right close to the Blackbird's bumper."

"What did the Blackbird look to you?" Ningguang asks.

"Very Tight on the hairpins and wide on the exits. Almost like Circuit style racing if you ask me" Ningguang's spotter responds

"Very interesting Tactic. Well thanks for Letting me know" Ningguang then hangs up the phone 

Back in the base. Silverwolf's radio crackles "The Blackbird's ahead but the FD is tailing real close! Almost like one car passed by me. They're that close. But Yelan's struggling to keep the lead at the hairpins."

Silverwolf smirks "Everyone knows that Yelan's my enemy, That's no secret. But now. Seeing that she's trained as hard as i've seen her. Makes me proud to see her change. But that change had to come right after her loss with Yougou's Eight Six.

At Beidou's group, They then feel rain drops start pouring. Collei then puts a hand out to check if its really raining. Then a rain drop hits her hand.

"Looks like its about to rain" Collei says.

Amber quickly rushes to her Sileighty "Let me get some umbrellas!"

As soon as Amber said that. Rain started pouring the moment she started running for her car. 

"Looks like the race is gonna get interesting." Beidou smirks

"With the rain intensifying. The road is gonna start getting slick. Almost like grease, cause the oils and dirt will start washing away when the rain hits the asphalt." A spectator said.

March crosses her arms "Looks like the race is going to get more intense"

In the blackbird. Rain starts hitting Yelan's windshield.

"Just Great. Absolutely Fucking great... Rain.." Yelan angered from the rain.

Yelan then turns on her windshield wipers. But in The RX7. Keqing Keeps them off.

"No need to turn on the wipers. They're just mere distraction in a race like this"

As the race reaches the final stages. Collei notices something with the corner.

"Hey guys? Look at this."

Seele, Beidou, Pela, Amber And March Look at Collei

"What is it?" Pela asks.

"That right there is the finishing line right?" Collei points to her left.

"Yeah?" Pela mutters

"That's the highest point here in Jinren. But down here. Is a Downhill slope." Collei points to the right

Right on cue. The two cars appear from the second to last hairpin.

"They're here!" A spectator yells

As the Blackbird and RX7 enters the final straightaway. Keqing's RX7 Manages to pull along side Yelan's Blackbird on the outside lane

"What's she doing!? If she enters that corner at this speed She's gonna hit the outside wall and kill herself!" Yelan yells

They hit the brakes at the same time. The two start sliding at the same time. Sliding in tandem.

Collei and her group watches a tandem drift in action. Their eyes wide open. The Blackbird and The FD exits merely side by side, right to the line. The FD lurches ahead slightly and crosses the line. Mere tenths of a thousand seconds from Yelan's blackbird.

 Keqing has won her first race since loosing to the Eight Six Of Yougou.

"Keqing Won!" March jumps for joy

"That's incredible. A Mere photo finish!" Beidou said

"Thats One helluva race" Seele crosses her arms.

At the Summit's parking lot. Keqing and Yelan exchange handshakes 

"That's some mighty fine driving Keqing" Yelan smiles

"You too Yelan" Keqing also smiles"

"Didnt actually expect for rain to affect this race though" Keqing looks up in the sky

"Yeah. But you going into that corner side by side was amazing eh?" Yelan bumps Keqing's shoulder for fun

"Oh You Bet!" Keqing bumps her back

The two laugh after an intense battle. A battle that puts a rivalry for a race. To an end.

Beidou and her group watches from a distance

"Seems that Keqing's attitude changed since you beaten her Collei" March said

"Yeah. Seems like it" Collei smiles.

As The crowd disperses. Ganyu's S2000 Arrives. Her stepping out and approching Keqing

"Nice one Keqing!" Ganyu said

Then the race coordinator looks up at the sky "Should we still do a downhill race with this rain?"

Yelan shakes her head "We cant with this rain man. Its only gonna get heavy."

Keqing nods her head "Yeah."

Then Ganyu taps Keqing's shoulder "Keqing, Before you call it off. Why dont you let me race that Eight Six?"

Keqing's eyes widen. "You What?"

"This isn't Araumi Keqing. As far as this goes. We are the one with an advantage as we have done a practice run!" Ganyu's eyes narrow"

 As Collei looks at the current situation, Then Beidou shows up with Amber. Holding out an umrella

"Hey! Who's that girl Keqing's talking to?" Beidou said

"No idea dude." Collei mutters

Ganyu looks towards her back And Looks at Collei. "That Girl's name Is Ganyu."

Ganyu then walks up to Collei "And i bet you are Collei Right?"

Collei nods silently

"What do you say if we do a downhill battle in this rain?" Ganyu smirks

Keqing grabs Ganyu's Shoulder "We should run by this to Ningguang first Ganyu." 

Ganyu Looks behind at Keqing "How about we ask the crowd here?"

"What do you say guys!?" Ganyu yells

The crowd cheers for the race to go ahead.

As the crow's cheers grow louder. Beidou face palms "Well doesn't this just suck.. So much for spectating a race."

Seele puts a hand over her face "Tell me about it."

Amber puts her head down "Well we cant say no to a Cheering crowd now can we?"

"But She's racing Ningguang in Three Days!" March mumbles

"Well i'm here now aren't i? And if you cant defeat me. Then i wont let you Race Ningguang and waste her time!" Ganyu angrily replies

March steps in for Collei "No Thanks! She's okay" 

But Collei Barges in "Sure. Why Not"

The crowd's cheers grow louder. Beidou, Seele, March, Pela And Amber Look at her with eyes wide open

"No Way..." Seele Mumbles

Keqing reaches her hand out "Now wait a second!"

Yelan puts her hand on Keqing's arm "Its too late. With this cheering crowd. There's no going back.

Ganyu then puts a hand on her waist "This race will be about pure skill. We shall see who comes out on top. Right Hotshot?"

Collei's eyes suddenly narrows and walks towards the parking area "Lets go March. Lets get the Eight Six"

"Wait What!?" March then rushes to Collei

Collei walks and looks behind her "Well i'm not gonna leave you here. And i don't want to come up afterwards. And after the race. We can go straight home afterwards."

Later on. Collei brings out the Eight Six. March gets in but is stopped by Collei.

"Do you mind if you sit on the back seat for this one March?" Collei points to the back seat.

March's eyes widen "The back? Uhh, Sure?"

March then gets in the back seat of Collei's Eight Six.

"Is this some kind of tactic Collei?" March sits straight on the back seat

"No. Its just to keep me free from distractions beside me." Collei says

"How am i supposed to hang on from here?" As March looks for something to hold on\

"Well that's something for you to figure out" Collei responds

March's face turns into a face of annoyance "Thanks for the vote of confidence..."

As the Eight Six Parks up Beside Ganyu's S2K. Keqing approaches Ganyu's Window

"I don't know what the hell you're thinking Representing Ningguang Like you know the back of her. But just to let you Know She's going to race Collei no matter what."

Ganyu smirks "You don't have to worry about me Keqing! I got this one in the bag!. And Besides. The Rain is in my favor today!" 

Keqing sighs, then walks away. "Famous Last words.. Right.. There..."

An Impromptu battle is about to begin in the rain. With an unfamiliar course below her
