The Reluctant Hero: Summoned Again and Again

Chapter 10: Ch 10

Suddenly, the colosseum started to shake, and a thick white mist began to rise from the ground, enveloping the entire arena. The mist swirled and thickened, creating an eerie atmosphere that sent shivers down my spine.

Out of the mist, multiple giant hands stretched out, their fingers curling and flexing as if testing their newfound freedom. The sight was both mesmerizing and terrifying. As the mist slowly dispersed, the true horror revealed itself.

Standing before me was a titan-like being, its towering form dominating the arena. It had a grotesque, muscular body with numerous hands extending from its back, each one twitching and grasping at the air. Its eyes glowed with a malevolent red light, and its mouth twisted into a sinister grin.

13 th Trial :-

**[Defeat the "Thousand-Handed One"]**

The trial's difficulty had suddenly skyrocketed. Just looking at the monster in front of me, I felt an incredible pressure weighing down on my chest. I hadn't experienced anything like this with the previous monsters. The air around me seemed to thicken with fear and uncertainty.

Without waiting, the monster launched its attack. Its giant hand stretched toward me with blinding speed, trying to grab me. I quickly used telekinesis to create a platform of air beneath my feet and started running in the air. But with a shockwave from its giant hand, the air I was standing on shattered like fragile glass.

With a heavy thud, I fell to the ground, the impact jolting through my body. The giant, seemingly pleased by my fall, smirked and stretched out its hand to grab me. The malicious glee in its eyes made my blood run cold.

To avoid being caught, I hurriedly took out the tools I had made using silver stone. I had crafted these tools by sharpening and cutting them in my inventory. I took out several silver stone spears and hurled them at the giant using telekinesis. Each spear flew through the air with deadly precision.

The spears struck the giant's hand, causing it to pause for a brief moment. But as if they were mere flies, the giant shook the spears away, breaking several of them. The fragments scattered across the arena, some even flying back toward me. To avoid being struck by my own spears, I created a telekinetic shield.

The giant, visibly annoyed by my attack, screamed at me. The scream was so loud that the entire colosseum shook. The ground trembled beneath my feet, and the walls seemed to vibrate with the force of its rage. Even the shield I had crafted with telekinesis began to crack from the force of its scream.

"Does this trial really expect me to defeat such an abomination? Are you kidding me? A single touch from that thing could kill me. My only advantage is speed, but I'll lose stamina soon and get caught. I have to think of something."

I continued to move as fast as I could, dodging and weaving to avoid the giant's relentless attacks. My mind raced, trying to come up with a plan. The pressure was immense, and every second felt like an eternity.

"God, let this work, or I'll really die here."

I took branches and mosses from my inventory. I had collected these from the pantheon, anticipating they might be useful in the strength trial and in case the trial required more than one day without food. I threw all the moss and branches I had collected into the arena, trying to make the ground as slippery as possible.

But it seemed to have no effect. The giant's weight applied too much pressure on the ground, and the surface wasn't slippery enough to make it fall. Its massive feet crushed the branches and moss with ease.

Noticing this, I started throwing all the moss into a single spot in the arena, trying to make one particular area slippery. I then hovered over that spot, trying to bait the giant. My heart pounded in my chest as I watched the giant's every move, hoping my plan would work.

The giant took the bait and moved to the slippery area. My plan worked; with a thunderous crash, the giant fell to the ground. As it fell, the arena shook once again, dust and debris flying into the air. But that was it. The giant soon stood up, visibly angry, and stared at me with its red eyes burning with fury.

"Shit, I'm really going to die here."

As the giant moved and its hand reached for me, my telekinetic shield, already covered in cracks, shattered from the force of the giant's hand. It caught my body, its grip tightening like a vice. I struggled against its hold, but it was no use. The giant's strength was overwhelming.

Just as it was about to crush me, something beyond comprehension happened. A sudden surge of energy filled the arena, and from out of nowhere, a black beam of light pierced the giant. Its body started to disintegrate as the beam of black light touched it. The giant's grip on me loosened, and I fell to the ground, still in a daze.

I heard the notification:

**[You have successfully defeated the giant]**

**[Error, unknown force has intervened in the trial]**

**[Rule 007 protects the inheritor in case of unknown influence]**

**[Inheritor is being sent to an unknown location]**

Suddenly, the entire arena disintegrated, and I appeared in my soul form. I looked at the Pantheon, the gigantic statue that was previously magnificent now completely broken. Pieces of it lay scattered on the ground, the once awe-inspiring structure reduced to rubble.

What had happened here?

Suddenly, a portal appeared behind me, its swirling vortex beckoning me.

"Wait, what about my reward?" I cried out, desperation in my voice.

I once again heard the notification:

**[You have defeated an impossible challenge, your rating: EX]**

**[You are awarded with the trait System]**

As I heard this notification, I was sucked inside the portal behind me. The world around me blurred, and I lost consciousness.
