THE PATH TO SUPREMACY

Chapter 2: New World

As Rui stepped through the portal, he was enveloped by the swirling energy, he felt weightless and disoriented. He felt like he was being torn apart and reassembled again, all at once.

As he opened his eyes, he was greeted with a sight he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams. He hurtled through space, passing by stars and galaxies at breakneck speed. He felt like he was flying and falling at the same time, and he was overwhelmed by the sheer scale and beauty of the universe that he was witnessing.

Rui saw clusters of stars, nebulae, and even entire galaxies spinning around him. He saw black holes, white dwarfs, and red giants, each one a stunning and awe-inspiring spectacle. As he continued to travel through the portal, Rui realized that he was passing through different dimensions and universes, each one more magnificent and strange than the last. Worlds made of crystal and fire, planets with multiple moons and suns, and even ones where time flowed backward came into view.

For what felt like an eternity, Rui was lost in the wonder of it all. He did not know how long he had been traversing, but eventually, the velocity of his travel slowed and came to a halt. Rui then saw a planet, way bigger than Earth, it was so big it took up his whole vision.

As he was immersed in the Earth-like planet. Rui felt a sudden jolt as if he was being pulled apart at the seams. His vision blurred and his body felt weightless as if he was floating in a sea of nothingness. He heard a faint humming sound, growing louder and louder until it was the only thing he could hear. Rui felt like he was a massive asteroid, about to make a devasting impact on this new world.

Then, just as suddenly as it had started, the sensation stopped. Rui found himself lying on his back, staring up at a ceiling he didn't recognize. He was in a room, and the air smelled of antiseptic and fresh linen. He could hear the soft murmur of voices nearby, but he couldn't make out what they were saying.

As he struggled to sit up, he realized something was different. His body felt small and weak, and his limbs wouldn't cooperate the way he wanted them to. That's when he heard a cry, a newborn baby's cry, and it took a moment for him to realize that the cry was coming from him.

Rui was confused and disoriented, but he knew one thing for certain: he wasn't in his own body anymore.

He had been reborn into this new world.

As Rui lay there, taking in his new surroundings, a rush of memories flooded his mind. Memories of his life before the portal, of his family and friends, and of his dreams and ambitions. But as he tried to focus on them, he found that they were becoming increasingly hazy and distant, like a fading dream, yet it felt like it had only been minutes since he stepped through that portal, or had it?

Rui thought more deeply for a second, could it have been hours or weeks? Maybe even years or decades, or even more!? Rui wasn't sure and he could only vaguely remember what he saw while traversing through space and time.

After thinking deeply about it, he tried to shake off the feeling of disorientation, but his body felt heavy and unresponsive. It took him a few moments to realize that he was still a newborn baby, helpless and fragile. He was confused and scared, but he knew he had to adapt quickly to this new world.

As his eyes adjusted to the dim light of the room, he could see that he was in a grand and opulent chamber, with high ceilings and ornate decorations. There were tapestries hanging on the walls, depicting scenes of epic battles and heroic feats. He saw a large canopy bed in the corner of the room, and a woman dressed in fine silk robes sitting beside it, watching him intently.

The woman looked down at him and smiled warmly. "Welcome to the world, little one," she said softly, her voice filled with love and tenderness. "You are a special child, and you have a bright future ahead of you."

Rui tried to respond, but all that came out was a weak cry. The woman chuckled and gently picked him up, cradling him in her arms. He felt the warmth of her embrace, and it comforted him in a way he had never experienced before.

As he looked up at her, he could see that she was beautiful, with long dark hair and piercing blue eyes. She had an air of grace and authority about her, and he knew instinctively that she was someone important.

"Who are you? Are you my mother?" he wanted to ask, but he could only gurgle and coo.

The woman smiled and continued to hold him, rocking him gently back and forth. "I am your mother, little one," she said. "And you are my son, Rui."

Rui's heart skipped a beat as he heard his name. It was a name he recognized, but he couldn't remember where he had heard it before. He looked up at his mother, and he could see that she was studying him closely, as if searching for something.

"You have your father's eyes," she said after a moment. "And his strength as well. You will grow up to be a great warrior, like him." Rui didn't know what to make of her words, let alone understand them, but he felt a sense of pride and determination swell up inside him.

As Rui was being held by his new mother, he could feel a strange sensation coursing through his tiny body. It was as if he could sense something that no one else could.

As his mother cradled him in her arms, Rui's eyes wandered around the room. Suddenly, he noticed something strange in the air. It was a white, transparent substance that seemed to shimmer in the light.

Rui reached out to touch it, but his hands simply passed through the substance. He couldn't quite understand what it was, but he could feel that it was magical and unlike anything from Earth..

The substance seemed to follow him as he was carried around the room. Rui couldn't help but be fascinated by it. It was unlike anything he had ever seen before.

As the hours passed by, Rui's mother rocked him back and forth, humming a soothing tune. Rui's eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted off to sleep, still feeling the strange substance in the air around him.

As he slept, Rui began to dream. In his dream, he was floating in a vast, white void. The same white, transparent substance surrounded him, pulsing with a gentle energy.

Rui felt at peace in this dream world. It was as if he belonged here, in this magical realm.

But as his dream came to an end, Rui was suddenly jolted awake. He opened his eyes to find himself back in his mother's arms, the white substance still lingering in the air around him.

Rui couldn't help but feel a sense of longing for the magical-like world he had just left behind. But as he looked up into his mother's warm, loving eyes, he knew that he was exactly where he belonged, in her loving embrace.
